A document appears on my desk top. How do I get rid of it?

In some cases, Firefox's downloads folder may be set to your desktop. You can change the downloads folder here:

Tools > Options > General
If the file wasn't downloaded using Firefox, have you tried dragging it to the Recycle bin? Does Windows refuse to delete it?

How do I get rid of the gradient that appears on both my home and lock screen?

Hello, I'm curious as to if there's an option for being able to get rid of the gradient that shows up on my wallpapers whenever I set it/unlock my phone.
If possible, can it be made customizable? Like, to be able to have the option of not having one at all, and what color we'd like the digits (on our clock) to be? This seems more like a suggestion rather than something I'm actually seeking help for, but if possible, can this problem be solved? I (and many others) are not comfortable with the dark hue in order for the time to be visible. Can the place of the time be customizable as well? (agh I'm sorry for acting kind of greedy but it seems like much of a problem.)

You can manually create/edit the userChrome.css file. Here's how.
(1) Find (or create) the chrome folder. This is a folder in your currently active Firefox settings folder, also known as your Firefox profile folder.
* Open the your profile folder using: Help > Troubleshooting Information
** Windows: Click the "Show Folder" button
** Mac: Click the "Show in Finder" button
* Check for a chrome folder.
** If it exists: double-click it to open it.
** If it does not exist: create a chrome folder, then double-click it to open it.
(2) Create or Edit a userChrome.css file by adding your style rule.
* Check for a userChrome.css file in the chrome folder.
** If it exists: open it in a text editor. Check that it has this first line: @namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul); Then add the following lines and save the file: .tab-throbber { display: none !important }  
** If it does not exist: create a new text file named userChrome.css. (In Windows, right-click and choose New > Text Document and change the name to userChrome.css.) Then see the previous step for what to place in the file.
The rule change should take effect the next time you start Firefox.
Note: I find it easier to use the Stylish extension, but if you don't want yet another extension, then userChrome.css makes the most sense.

Make a temporary backup of your library (if you don't already have a backup of it) and launch iPhoto with the Command +Option key held down and rebuild the library with options #1, 2, 3 and 6 selected.

Nooooooo! lol... If I want to download again I will, I don't want an electronic trail. it will continue every few minutes until its installed.

If Firefox has already downloaded the 30.0 update, how do I get rid of it so that it won't upgrade Firefox when I restart my browser?

Please don't try to encourage me to use the new update. That is not what I am asking. The layout of Firefox 30 is not user friendly at all, and if I cannot continue to use 28, I will change to a different browser.
What I need to know is how can I get rid of the update that just downloaded itself without warning and permission? I have ALREADY selected in the options menu for Firefox to not check for updates.
