How do i get rid of a iPhone Virus?

I have now for the second time a strange virus on my Iphone 5, iOs 6.1.4 It opens randomly the pre-installed apple apps like Newsstand, Settings, Notes etc. and changes settings there. The first time I had it, it sent a message with "awkward" to one of my contacts. This time it changed my wallpaper. I haven't jailbreaked my iPhone. How do I get rid of this ****? It seems to help to switch the Wifi off. A reset of the settings did work the first time but not now. Thanks for your help!

  • How do i get rid of the Yahoo Virus?

    Everytime i type something in the adress bar and hit enter i get redirected to yahoo search.
    I KNOW THIS HAS BEEN ASKED MANY DAMN TIMES.
    But the solutions suggested DO NOT WORK, because the keyword.URL does not exist anymore.
    I've had the same problem 2 weeks ago and yesterday i've let a friend install Spotify on my computer and BOOM - this morning guess who was back.
    The last time I had to remove it i had to reinstall everything which resulted in having me to input all the pages i frequently use by hand aswell as the corresponding log ins.
    I don't wonna go through this trouble again.
    How do I get rid of it and more important is there a way to banish the Yahoo Virus forever without having to gamble everytime you install a new piece of software?

    The reason keyword.URL no longer matters is that the address bar is designed to use the same search engine you select on the Search Bar (by default, Google).
    If that is not working, check your extensions. You can review, disable, and often remove them on the Add-ons page. Either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
    In the left column, click Extensions. Then, disable everything nonessential or unknown -- often you won't even recognize everything here.
    Usually a link will appear above a disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the add-ons page and click the link as the last step.
    To clean up non-default settings, you can use the Search Reset extension:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchreset/
    Any luck?

  • How do you get rid of a Moneypak virus?

    I was surfing the web and all of a sudden a window popped up telling me I have been blocked for illegally downloading movies, etc.  I was in Safari and I knew it was a scam as they wanted me to send them money to get the unlock code.  I was able to force quit Safari which I did and then I shut down the computer but it's still there.  I opened Firefox and found out that this is a Moneypak virus.  I want to know if anyone knows how to get rid of it.  I am using a MacBook Pro.   Thanks.

    Helpful Links Regarding Malware Problems
    If you are having an immediate problem with ads popping up see The Safe Mac » Adware Removal Guide and The Safe Mac » Adware Removal Tool.
    Open Safari, select Preferences from the Safari menu. Click on Extensions icon in the toolbar. Disable all Extensions. If this stops your problem, then re-enable them one by one until the problem returns. Now remove that extension as it is causing the problem.
    An excellent link to read is Tom Reed's Mac Malware Guide.

    If you require anti-virus protection Thomas Reed recommends using ClamXAV. (Thank you to Thomas Reed for this recommendation.)
    From user Joe Bailey comes this equally useful advice:
    The facts are:
    1. There is no anti-malware software that can detect 100% of the malware out there.
    2. There is no anti-malware that can detect everything targeting the Mac.
    3. The very best way to prevent the most attacks is for you as the user to be aware that
         the most successful malware attacks rely on very sophisticated social engineering
         techniques preying on human avarice, ****, and fear.
    4. Internet popups saying the FBI, NSA, Microsoft, your ISP has detected malware on
        your computer is intended to entice you to install their malware thinking it is a
        protection against malware.
    5. Some of the anti-malware products on the market are worse than the malware
        from which they purport to protect you.
    6. Be cautious where you go on the internet.
    7. Only download anything from sites you know are safe.
    8. Avoid links you receive in email, always be suspicious even if you get something
        you think is from a friend, but you were not expecting.
    9. If there is any question in your mind, then assume it is malware.

  • How can I get rid of the iPhone camera?

    The issue I am having is that when I press Cancel, the camera fades away, but then it comes right back. Now what I want at all.
    Background
    I have set up a UIViewController with nib and launch this view from a tab bar.  When the tab bar button is pressed the camera comes up as expected.  However, I cannot get back to my root controller because I cannot dismiss the camera.  When it is fading away, I can see the tab bar momentarily, but then the app goes right back to the camera view.
    To be clear, I make use of  the following method calls:
    [self presentModalViewController:picker animated:YES];
    [self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES];
    Any suggestions or comments will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    @ K T
    Here you go!
    ==
    - (void) viewDidAppear:(BOOL)animated {
      // Create a new image picker instance:
      UIImagePickerController *picker = [[UIImagePickerController alloc] init];
      // Set the image picker source:
        [picker setSourceType:UIImagePickerControllerSourceTypeCamera];
      // set delegate to self
        [picker setDelegate : self];
        picker.showsCameraControls = YES;
              picker.navigationBarHidden = NO;  // NO = no help!
              picker.wantsFullScreenLayout = NO;
      // Show the picker:
              [self presentModalViewController:picker animated:YES];
        [self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES];
        // release it
        [picker release];
        [super viewDidAppear:YES];

  • How do I get rid of these annoying virus scan pop-up windows?!?

    Every time I get on my laptop, these stupid virus scan windows pop up and they won't go away! No matter if I press Eject or Cancel, and as you can see, there is NO option to x it out! Only the yellow and green buttons show up, but the red X button does not! I took a picture of four of them and then all ten that are open. It seems more keep opening up whenever another program opens or seems to be running in the background! It's so frustrating! Has anyone else ever experienced this? I have the 2008 black MacBook. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

    You have some kind of anti-virus software installed, which should probably be removed. I can't immediately identify the icon, though. When these scans are running, open Activity Monitor (found in the Utilities folder in your Applications folder), click the CPU tab and make sure the items with high CPU usage numbers are sorted to the top. Then take a screenshot of the Activity Monitor window and post it here.
    Make a screenshot by following the directions here:

    Here are some other names that malware goes by from VirusTotal. First submitted to VirusTotal 11 Nov 2011 and added to the ClamAV® database exactly two years ago today. Obviously Windows malware of some sort.
    Almost all Mac malware contains the letters "OSX" in the infection name.
    Where was it found? The reason I ask is that if it was include as an e-mail attachment or a backup drive their may be special instructions regarding the proper way to delete such things to avoid damage.
    Otherwise please follow the instructions at Dealing with Infected Files.

  • Since downloading ios5 on my iphone 4 the capacity guage in itunes shows other as over 21Gb and i can no longer fit any music on it. How do I get rid of the other stuff? other

    Since downloading ios5 on my iphone 4 a few days ago, the capacity guage in itunes shows "other" as over 21Gb and i can no longer fit any music on my iphone.
    How do I get rid of the other stuff?
    capacity available on 32 Gb iphone is 28.49Gb
    i previously had 21.97 Gb music, over 6 Gb photos, about 1Gb of apps, and minute amount of audio
    now i have no music, 5.4 Gb photos and similar (0.8Gb) for  apps and audio. i have deleted heaps of photos and unused apps to try to make space but obviosly this is a much bigger problem. I also created a smaller music folder on itunes to sync to but at present no music is selected for syncing due to the lack of available space.
    i have 15Gb icloud account now also which is about half full.
    Ive done a little research and heard similar tales but with much smaller other totals than this. Can you help?
    i cant update my apps as i get a message saying i do not have enough available space.

    I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
    Before you restore or reset, I would try that first.

    You transfer the purchases to the computer you use to sync the iPhone.  You can use a thumb drive or an external HD, etc.  Read this: iTunes for Mac - How to copy purchases between computers:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1373
