The Creative Cloud menu bar icon on Mac OS is pretty much useless since I already have icons for all the apps and don't use Adobe Cloud storage. Anyone know how to get it off my menu bar? The menu bar is MY space. I ought to have control over what goes there. If every application starts dumping stuff there it will quickly become a mess. I want the option to turn this off.

Most videos play "inline", not full screen, on Safari on iPad. You can use a quick "reverse pinch" gesture (as if you were zooming in, but more of a quick flick than a slow zoom) on top of the video to make it full screen.

I think the greyed out playlists must be listed from your device which is set up to mirror your library. Because the device is synced you can't edit content directly on the device. From the top of the left-hand column do you have?
Library > Music, Movies...
Store > iTunes Store, iTunes Match...
Devices > <Your Device> > Music, Movies, and all the other "dummy" lists...
Genius > Genius, Genius Mixes...
Playlists > iTunes DJ, and then all your playlist folders and playlists...
If so then that is perfectly normal when your device is connected, either directly or over wi-fi and you have the lists expanded. Simply click the small triangle to the left of the device name to hide all the playlists.

It is an iPad 2, 64GB, with wifi and 3G, running the latest iOS 8.1.2, with 43.7 GB available. I am not using the cloud. Everything I need is backed up, so loss of the information on this device is not critical.
About 2 years ago I canceled this account and created a new one when I abandoned my road runner email and change to gmail. Tech support talked me through the transition then and it is fine on all my devices (iPhone, Mac-mini, Macbook Air) except the iPad 2, which i use the most. The same thing happened to my mothers iPad 3 a few months ago, with the same repeating pop-up after changing email/appleid accounts), Apple support helped me restore hers, but mine is no longer a covered device.
This issue started about a year ago, I can cancel the pop-up but it continues to returns, it went away for a few months, then somewhere in the last few months it started happening daily, now it cycles through about every 5 - 15 seconds. Can't do anything, I have reset the iPad 2 all that did was delete my existing settings, it will not accept the old password all I can do is cancel it (until it returns again).
Need the directions to delete the old appleid and accept the new applied on this device.

My best advice is that you stop worrying about the backups that TimeMachine is making on your MBA. First, these local backups are only made when TimeMachine should perform a backup but your computer isn't connected to TimeMachine. Once you reconnect your computer to TimeMachine it makes a backup and the local backups are deleted. Second, TimeMachine stops making local backups when your free drive space dips below 80%. So the local backups aren't going to take over your computer.

I updated Firefox, and after I restarted it, when I opened a new tab, I found that I now had two Google search bars: one next to where you type web addresses, and one right above my pinned sites (or my frequently visited sites). I'm just trying to:
1. Figure out why it is necessary to have two of the pretty much identically useful search bars when I really only need one (or can physically type Google in)
and
2. How do I get rid of the unnecessary second Google search bar above my frequently visited and therefore pinned sites.
If you have any ideas of how to remove this annoying addition, I would appreciate it.

I am guessing that you installed an extension, related to "new tab", which added the first search bar. Firefox 31 in includes a search bar for the "new tab" page; so now you have two.
Take a look at that extension (Options or Preferences) to see how to disable ones of those 2 search bars. Or see if an update has been released for that extension, specifically for Firefox 31, with an option to disable the search bar.

I am a student working on a Pulse Oximeter and i am supposed to send sample values to Labview via the RS232 serial configuration. I am able to view the data in VISA but i am unable get the graph running constantly. There is always a framing error(-1073807253) whenever i run the VI and the graph only appears for a few seconds before the whole VI halts to display the error. How do i get rid of the error. I am only sending 8 bits of data. I have even tried using even the most simplest program whereby i send only characters A & C and even then i am getting the framing error. Please help me, i am in need of urgent and desperate help. I am sending these cahracters from the PIC16F877 using assembly language and i have attached the code to this forum thread. I have even tried making use of 9 bit transmission and parity bits and nothing seems to work for me. Please provide me with some help and suggestions. Have a look at my program and VI and sugggest some solutions as soon as possible. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Four things to check when having problems with serial com:
1. Make sure the baud rate matches the device.
2. Make sure the parity bit matches the device.
3. Make sure the number of stop bits matches the device.
4. Look for buffer overruns if you do not use flow control.
Like CC said, using Hyperterminal will verify that you are getting good responses from your device. If it runs fine for a while, then you start getting errors, the most likely cause is buffer overruns. You will have to use flow control to prevent this from happening. You will have to know what type of flow control your device supports, hardware flow control (RTS-CTS), or software flow control (XON-XOFF).

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Mozilla shows snippets on the about:home page to run different campaigns and that changes regularly.
If you prefer not to see snippets on the about:home page or if there are problems with a snippet then you can set the browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl pref to an empty string on the about:config page.
Delete the storage\persistent\moz-safe-about+home folder in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed ("3-bar" Firefox menu button > Exit/Quit) to remove snippets stored in IndexedDB and make Firefox use a default snippet set.
You can reset the browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl pref via the right-click context menu to the default value to re-enable the snippets and make Firefox recreate the moz-safe-about+home folder.
Close and restart Firefox after changing the value of the browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl pref.
