How do I get rid of the white background in text boxes in Dreamweaver?

I use a lot of reversed text on my site, and not being able to see the text in the split view means I have to edit in the code view slows me down no end… I've tried changing the obvious view options, but can never seem to find the one that makes the boxes transparent. Is there an easy fix to this???anx if you can help

Here's a screengrab of the problem.
This page uses no text nav; instead uses z-index' similar to layers in photoshop, where image maps on overhangs from the pictures/pages underneath, to navigate to other pages.
But when working on it in Dreamweaver, it's a nightmare, because of the white boxes, which often almost completely obscure the layered divs underneath.
Is there no easy way 4 DW to just make these boxes transparent in the View. Switching off Style Rendering doesn't really help.

Well when you are finished drawing a picture when you select it you are able to make the drawings background transparent so when you put it on top of something else the background doesnt show up or you can have the background visible.

Well when you are finished drawing a picture when you select it you are able to make the drawings background transparent so when you put it on top of something else the background doesnt show up or you can have the background visible.

How do I get rid of the 'Main Report' static text box in CR 2008 viewer?

How do you get rid of the white part of an image?

I have some JPEG's of textures. Around the edge of the texture their is white, how do I get rid of the white so I can work with just the texture?
I tried the Luma Key filter. It worked pretty good but wanted to know what you guys do. If their is a way to get rid of the background white color without disrupting the texture image?

When using 'sponge' effect on a fill, how do I get rid of the white 'pixellations' (if that is what they are called around the edges of the fill?

I tried to give you this solution before, but maybe you missed it. This simple procedure will mask out all the various sponge edge-artifacts. Here it is in simple steps:
1. Make the path shape you want to apply the sponge effect to.
2. Highlight that path, and select Object > Path > Offset path ... choose +2 points (or whatever works for your drawing scale, to ultimately eliminate the outside line and the artifacts) -- this will make a slightly larger shape, based on the original shape.
3. Cut the outside path (command or alt-X), select the inside path, and paste the outer path BEHIND the inner path (command or alt-B).
4. Apply the sponge effect to the OUTER path.
5. Highlight BOTH paths, and create a MASK (command or alt-7).
Now you have your original shape, with sponge applied, and the outer 2 points (or whatever your Offset Path was set to), are masked out, masking out the outside line and the sponge artifacts.
This works with any Document Raster Effect Settings dpi.

First, some clarification:
* The location bar (often called the "awesome bar") is the larger bar on the left that shows you the address of the page you are currently viewing. As you type in the location bar it searches your history and bookmarks for matches.
* The search bar is the smaller one on the right. It typically displays an icon of whichever search engine is currently selected and may display search suggestions as you type in it.
It sounds like you are referring to the search bar rather than the location bar. You can change search engines for the search bar by clicking on the icon on the left edge of the search bar and choosing a different one. You can also choose "Manage Search Engines" to remove ones you aren't interested in using.
It also sounds like Bearshare might have changed your homepage in Firefox. To restore that you will need to open the preferences menu (click Tools > Preferences), go to the General tab (first on the top left), and click "Restore to Default".

I tried to get rid of the background images altogether, by deleting the two "div class" from the above code but it shifted the layout.. When I try to delete the background images - nothin happened. Could these images be embedded in the template PHP - if so, where do I look for it?
Could sombody suggest a solution?

Hi Anna,
This system is not PHP so there is no PHP and you do not have access to any server side coding.
Do not delete the actual html, in your CSS just remove the background from the css of the element.

while not exporting markers is one way to cure this, it's not very effective if you do want to place your chapter markers in fcp and also maybe place some compression markers. i usually place chapter markers in fcp and don't have an issue with the quicktime text track rearing it's head. do a search in the dvd sp forum, this comes up a lot. here's one thread. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1088176&#1088176

I have just downloaded my Lightroom software to my new computer which runs Windows 7. I had lightroom on my old Vista computer and just had to change the border size to remove it from my pictures, however, for some reason it will not let me remove it anymore. When I try to adjust the border size it states it cannot be smaller than .2. Therefore, I have a white border around all my pictures I am printing. HELP! How do I get rid of this border. Make sure you select a borderless papersize in the page setup. That will allow Lightroom to set the margins to zero. Otherwise it sets it to the minumum value the printer tells Lightroom it can print at at the current print size. Your printer and driver need to support borderless printing for this to work.

Ever since I downloaded the latest version of Firefox, I have this ugly white line slicing through my toolbar and outlining my tabs.
