How do I get "Sufficient Permissions" to manage my own images?

I cannot manage some of my images in Bridge CC. When I attempt to delete, move or rename them I get the message: "The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient permissions." It's my computer. I'm the only user. How do I get "sufficient permissions?" Some of these images were transferred from my old Windows XP computer to my new Windows 7 computer. Could that have something to do with it?

Download and run BatChmod on the iPhoto Library folder with the settings shown here, substituting your account name for mine. You can either type in the path to the folder or just drag the folder into that field.

I have just installed iLife 6 as an upgrade from version 5.
On launching iPhoto I get the following Message:
'The photo library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto.'
On clicking "upgrade" I get a further message:
'There is problem accessing one or more files in your iPhoto library folder.
Then choode File>Get Info.
Make sure you have read and write permissions for the folder then apply this setting to all enclosed items.'
Having completed this I get another message:
'The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items'
I have tried this several times with the same results and restarted to see if that would make any difference.
So now I have no access to my library!
Just to be safe I have copied all of the contents of the iPhoto folder off onto and external drive.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you have admin access in your account, then in Terminal, you can go to the file root with
cd / <enter>
and then go from there. (The single forward slash is the shorthand for the filesystem mount point.) You should be able to a number of things otherwise blocked by using the sudo command before the normal Unix command, as in, for instance,
sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions <enter>
which is a command which changes the modification date to the current time on the Extensions folder. When using sudo, you will be asked for your password, and after successful authentication, the command will execute.

Lion will only let you add documents to iCloud through iCloud.com, iCloud.com requires the iOS apps before you can use it.
Mountain Lion will let you add documents to iCloud from the iWork apps themselves, you don't then need the iOS apps before they can be opened on another Mac.

The D3200 requires at least ACR 7.1, which isn't compatible with any version of PSE prior to PSE 11, so no, you can't do this directly in PSE 9.
You could upgrade PSE, use the Nikon software to convert the files and then open the resulting images into PSE for further editing, or download the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your NEFs to DNG files that your version of PSE can understand.

When starting up, if you hold down the Option key you are supposed to get to the Startup manager, where you can select which disk to start up from, etc. But this doesn't seem to work when using the Apple Bluetooth wireless keyboard. How do I get to the contacts manager on VZW web site? I last used it months ago but it doesn't work now.

A family member has an LG Revere flip phone, and when we need to add several or remove several contacts, it USED to be easier to go into the contacts management page on the VZW web site, but when I went to look tonight, it kept showing the Backup Assistant information for the wrong phone, and ONLY showing me the (nonexistent) contacts for that other phone. The Revere is the only non-smartphone on the account, so it's the only phone I have ever wanted to use the backup assistant and online contacts manager for.
Now that I think of it, tonight it was also asking me to agree to use the Backup Assistant, which I thought was strange because (as I said) we were already using it for that one phone but not the others. But when i agreed it showed me the (default -- generic Verizon) contacts for MY phone, not the one I was looking for. When I have tried several different ways to get to the other phone information, I have been seeing more and more website errors.
I guess there was a glitch somewhere... I will try again but I'm putting this out there in case someone has an answer.

I have tried clicking all around and I cannot get to the contact manager at all anymore. Now when I click to it I go to My Verizon Online Sign In - Verizon Wireless (not sure if that link works here) and the web site says:

OK everyone we got an issue that we need to take care of sorry if this seems like a dumb question but we cant seem to make this work. How do you set your configuration manager client when you deploy your image(s)? I created package and pointed
it right to the config manager install directory just like the recommended one for USMT but it does not seem to work. I also tried to leave it blank but it appears to be mandatory.. So my question how do YOU get it to work for your areas?

Drop applications to the workstation
do updates
capture back to server
All it does is
Drop the OS down
copy the Agent files
join to the domain

Some files that I have printed have faint white boxes around images. The images were saved in photoshop with transparent backgrounds that seem to be showing up faintly in the final printed image. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this problem?

Your printer (driver) may be overly helpful and performs a bit of colour management all by itself. You may have a look and disable any such management in the printer (driver) options.

Since iWeb has been discontinued by Apple I'm skeptical if you'll get any help on how to hack the application in order to have larger images in the slideshow. Since MobileMe will be discontinued this June 30 and with it the galleries you might stat looking for an alternative.
One alternative that gives the user considerable latitude in image size and quality is Jalbum. It offers nearly 100 themes or skins. This demo page has one theme that lets you change skins on the fly: Jalbum Examples plus a couple of others.

You will need either use the Canon software to convert the CR2 files to TIF files or use the free Adobe DNG converter to convert the CR2 files to DNG files. Then import the TIF or DNG files into PSE 9.
You could update to PSE 12 to avoid the conversions.

There are no 64-bit USB drivers. Only way to sync with 64-bit machines is wirelessly, via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth (neither of which your m130 is capable of), or IR.
