How do i get the IOS 4.3 on my iPod.
it says it has the most resent IOS on it but when i try to get Facebook on it, it tells me i need the IOS 4.3 and it wont let me get it.
Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.
Otherwise you will have to manage FB via the website.

Are you sure it's not 6.1.6? If it is, that is the latest iOS version that will work on a 4th generation iPod Touch. Later versions require a 5G iPod which has twice as much RAM.

I lost my iTunes library on my pc when the hard drive crashed. None of the data on the drive was recoverable and I did not have a backup either locally or on the cloud. Much of the music is from old vinyl and podcasts which are no longer available.
How can I get the music that resides on my ipod nano (4th generation) back onto the new hard drive on my pc.
I have been reluctant to install iTunes on the new hard drive out of fear that I will lose all the contents on the ipod if I try to synch to the new hard drive.
Help!No backup is a huge mistake.

I am trying to get the speck gemshell case that I purchased along with the "new" ipod touch 5th generation. It seems like a solid piece of clear see-through piece of plastic and it will withstand lots of drops with the added "lips"on the front of the ipod touch (one reason why i got this case. The other reason was to have my red ipod seen by all who wish to look at it.) but my problem with it is that it seems "too solid". The case is hard to put on and REALLY hard to take off. I have read on some websites that you can take a credit card as a way of taking the case off but I want to figure out how to take it off without ruining my ipod or bending the case?

Tap the home button and close the multi-task bar. Reset the phone, hold the sleep/wake and home button together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone restarts, see if you see the same behavior. If you do, the next step to restore from a backup. If that doesn't help, then restore as a new device. If you have to go all the way through restore as a new device and it does not work, then it could be a hardware issue. I've not seen any other posts about screen issues after updates, so one of these should fix it unless there is a problem with the screen. -

You can't upgrade a 3G to iOS 5. Only 3GS and newer support iOS 5.
