How do I get to the old iTunes screen that used to pop up when I plug my IP into my MBA? I used to get a screen that showed whatever device I had hooked up.
This morning I got a message that there is an IP update, but that I have paid data on my IP that is not on my computer, do I want to install the update.
And the answer is no, not until I get whatever it is transferred to my computer. There used to be a pulldown menu asking "do you want to transfer programs from your device to iTunes?" Not there anymore or at least that I can find.
I suspect this problem has something to do with the cloud and automatic syncing between devices..

Kind of solved my own problem by updating the IP wirelessly (6.1.4). Then in plugging the IP into my MBA, I was able to get to the pull down menu that allows transfer of programs and apps to my MBA.
While I can see the advantage of being able to update the IP wirelessly, I much prefered the old iTunes interface that among other things, made it easy to "eject" the IP from being wired up to my MBA.

Sign out of the App Store, close the App Store app and reboot the iPad, sign in again and then go back and try again.
Settings>iTunes and App Store. Tap your Apple ID and sign out.
Close the App Store. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the App Store app and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
Go go back to Settings>iTunes and App Store. Sign in again. Go to the App Store and see if the apps appear for downloading now.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone (if you're using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). You should regularly transfer anything purchased on the ipod to your computer and include it in your regular backup of your computer.

Have you tried pulling the batteries out of the damaged ones so that they are completely off; then shutdown your Mac Mini via the power button on the back right. Turn on your new keyboard and trackpad then power your Mini back up? The auto detection should find your new keyboard and trackpad.

I can tell you that this is some of the absolutely worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I found out from a store employee that when they are really busy with calls, they have third party companies taking overflow calls. One of those companies is Xerox. What can a Xerox call center rep possibly be able to authorize on a Verizon account? I'm Sure there is a ton of misinformation out there due to this. They don't note the accounts properly or so everyone can see them. I have been transferred before and have asked if they work for Verizon or a third party also and was refused an answer so, apparently they aren't required to disclose that information. I spent a long time in the store on my last visit and it's not just customers that get the runaround. It happens to the store employees as well and it's beyond frustrating.

How do I get back the old songs that were wiped out on my Ipod, when the new songs were downloaded?

I recently had to have everything on my harddrive moved to an external harddrive by the Geek Squad. Subsequent to that, I purchased six new songs from Itunes, and downloaded them to my Ipod. When I did that, all 126 of my old songs were wiped out. However, Itunes still shows all of the old, as well as the new songs. How can I access the "older" songs so that I can then add them back to the newer songs?

You can set up your iPod for automatic or manual syncing, and depending on which option you choose the process will be different. Either route you choose, by following those directions you should be able to get both your older songs and the newly purchased ones onto your iPod.

I have an old version of Firefox on my Mac G4, but am scared to use that machine in case that Firefox also automatically updates itself. How can I transfer a copy of that older version of Firefox (from the G4) to the Intel Mac, and how do I stop both versions from then automatically updating? I upgraded to the new firefox 4 and I HATE it... I tried to uninstall it, and lost all my bookmark tabs, and then I tried to install the old firefox but couldn't, it only allows me to use the new one, which is also slowing down my laptop big time! Has this happened to anyone else?

I've not had any problems with Firefox 4 being slower, but I've never been so disappointed with a program in years. I went back to 3.6.16 and it's much more stable. I'm an attorney and use the Bankruptcy Court websites daily--literally, hourly--and 4 crashes on them repeatedly, will not download mailing matrices, will not print claims registers, or literally do ANYTHING as well as 3.6 did. If a browser won't do that, then it's worthless to me. We HAVE to have stable programs, and everything now in the Federal courts nationwide has to be electronic filing. I've tried all the tricks I know (and I've been a computer user and builder ever since Win 3.1) and nothing saved it. I finally uninstalled 4, did NOT offload my user profiles, and they all picked up again on 3.6.16. I don't plan on going back to 4--ever.

Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the AirPOrt Extreme icon, then click Edit
Click the Wireless tab at the top of the page to get to the wireless settings
Make the changes that you want by editing the password and verifying
It would be a good idea to also change the name of the wireless network to avoid the confusing situation where you have the name network name stored with two different passwords
Click Update to save the new settings and the AirPort Extreme will restart in 30 seconds

How do I get past the empty blue screen?

I keep getting the empty blue screen. I have tried starting up in Safe Mode only to wind up with the same blue screen. Tried starting up with iMac install disc only to wind up with the same blue screen. Additionally it has decided to keep the disc. The problem started with a poweer outage and an apparently bad battery in the power back up. Although I have the Apple Care Protectiion Plan, i have not been able to get in touch with them. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I have wasted the last four hours only to wind up "blue". At the moment the iMac is in the grey apple screen with the gear rotating, the install disc 1 is still in the drive. it has been in the screen for the past 20+ minutes..HELP
