How do I get video clips into Organizer from Elements?

I have broken my raw video into pieces in elements but can't get it to import into organizer.
I am using Elements 11 Trial.

The video is actually a football highlight film for our son and came to us as a single mp4 file with about 60 plays of video on it.
What I am trying to do is
1) Cut it down into 60 individual videos (which I did and currently have in my project).
2) Save the pieces off as individual video clips.
3) Get the ability to rank/rate each video and select the 25 or so that will make up the final video.
4) Polish/edit those that make the grade.
5) Organize and assemble.
Does this make sense?

Windows 7 will download video just fine via the USB cable and your Import utility on the computer. Connect the device to the computer and it should open Auto Play and provide you a selection to import photos and video. The video would be saved in whatever location you have set up in Auto Play. Generally the default is the Video Library.

Thank you for your help. I am still having trouble. As you can tell, I am not technologically advanced AT ALL. My music is all showing up in the library but when I go to file in the top left corner, Sync is greyed out and I cannot select it. I'm gonna continue to try this. As long as you are using the clips with copyright permission (the organisation I work for has this for some distributers) try Wondershare (I am sure other converters are available). You can install an extension for Safari (I use FastestTube 2.2.9.3) to download from YouTube. However, please be aware that you could be breaking copyright laws when so doing.

You can't edit a video out of iTunes.
You would have to edit the video from the original film, either on your computer, or iPhone.

Here it is step by step.
STEP 1: Connect you device to your windows pc.
STEP 2: Open up "computer" on your pc, you should see three options. (1. Hard Disk Drives) (2. Devices With Removable Storage) (3. Portable Devices)
STEP 3: Under "Portable Devices" click your's.
STEP 3: Click "Internal Storage."
STEP 4: Click the "DCIM" floder.
STEP 5: Click the next folder after "DCIM"
STEP 6: Right click on the IMG or VID that you want to be on your pc.
STEP 7: Click copy.
STEP 8: Go to your video folder or whereever you want the video.

I try to import them but when i try to click on the file, it won't let me. Like its not bold like other files (It will let me upload video that were taken with my iPhone) I have iMovie 09.
What do I need to do?

Do you plan to put each video clip in iDVD to be playes separately? If so then here's how:
1 - open iDVD and select your theme.
2 - click on the Media button at the bottom right and then on the Photo button at the top.
3 - in the search window type in ".mov" (or the extension of the video clips you plan to use).
4 - all of the video clips with the extension you entered will be displayed and you can drag them into the menu area at the left.
Another way would be to put all of the video clips in an Album and click on that album to view and drag the clips:
Remember, the order that they are added to the menu will be the order that the buttons will highlight when you scroll thru the buttons with a DVD player remote.
This will give you a menu with a separate button for each video clip (up to 12 in a menu with some themes).
If you want to play all of the clips one after another you could create a slideshow in iDVD with the "+" button at the bottom and drag the video clips into the slideshow as you would still photos. Set the slide duration to anything but manual and don't apply any transition.
That will let you play all of the clips sequentially.

you will not see the audio meters from within fcp move while capturing.
If you only see the captured clip in the finder, not within fcp, there's something wrong. You might try deleting your fcp preferences
