Either import them to your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083), then import them to your iTunes library and sync them to your iPad, or (more conveniently) use an app like PhotoSync or Bump.
iCloud doesn't sync videos at the present time, although it was recently announced that iOS 7 (coming this fall) will include the ability to share videos as well as photos.

No - that is your iTunes application preferences.
With your iPhone connected to iTunes, select your iPhone under Devices in the iTunes source list to bring up your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes in the main iTunes window. Under the Movies tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, select Sync Movies and select the movie or movies below that you want transferred to your iPhone followed by a sync.
Have you never owned and iPod? If so, the same applies for syncing an iPhone with iTunes as with an iPod.

Getting video I shot OFF the iPhone 3 GS

OK...I am stumped. I am syncing my iPhone with iTunes on Vista. Everything works fine. How the heck can I get the videos on my PC? Is my only option to upload them to youtube or mobileme? I would prefer to put them on my PC...
Any help is greatly appreciated.
By the way, is this possible on a Mac? I have a Macbook Pro but it is brand new and I have been syncing my iPhone with my desktop since the beginning so I would prefer to keep it that way. However, if the mac offers this option I may have to change!

First you have to go to control panel (in Vista it under Auto play settings in control pannel)and change your settings. by default the iPhone is controlled by iTunes so Windows does nothing when it is connected. The setting in windows is set to TAKE NO ACTION. You have to change it to ASK ME EVERY TIME. Then when you connect your iPhone you will be prompted as to what you would like Windows to do with it. You have two choices at this point 1. open it with the camera wizard 2. open it using the "Open device to view files" choice. The second one will give you full control and access to all files on the phone.

It worked fine with Iphone 4s, but even though the IPhone 5s is connected to my Mac, Bridge will not recognize it. Also, I cannot update to 6.5 in Bridge either for some reason.

Connect your iPhone via the standard USB connector to your computer, open Bridge and if you have not set to open Photodownloader automatically use the command File / Get photo's from camera or use the tiny camera icon with arrow down at in the icon bar top left of bridge window.
This should open Adobe Photodownloader and it should auto select the images and movies but otherwise use the option to select the source. Also study the options available in Photodownloader and use the advance button to get some thumbs of the content on your phone.

AIM 6.5 and 6.8 On Vista and XP
AIM 5.9 or earlier can not be installed on Vista.
AIM 6.5 and 6.8 use a new video codec with a description of "Real Time IM"
