ctrl B makes the top bar (File. Edit. View. Controls. Store. Help.) appear and disappear.
ctrl S makes a side bar appear on the left side of iTunes. It shows the library which has Music. Movies. TV Shows. Apps. Playlists. Ect.
When I did the steps you suggested, my iPhone did not show up in that list.
I checked my firewall settings again, and they seem to be okay. My firewall is the only thing that I am not 100% sure of. If I go to Control Pannel>System and Security>Windows Firewall>Allow an app through Windows Firewall. It shows that iTunes is allowed. I'm not sure if something else might need to be allowed as well though. I have a few Remote options that are not allowed such as, Remote Event Log Management, Remote Scheduled Tasks Management, Remote Shutdown, Remote Volume Management, and Routing and Remote Access. I'm not sure if any of these need to be allowed or not, or if they are even affiliated with iTunes.

In case you didn't fully understand what dallon meant, it means another user account on your computer. You set that up in Windows and then instal iTunes onto that account.
That way, you each have your own desktop and your own itunes. You can link to the songs in the other person's library as well, but you cannot run both iTunes at the same time. (That simply means you need to close it on the first account before opening it on the second account.)

  • How can I have two iTunes accounts on one mac?

I have a late model iMac and am running Lion. I have an account for myself with admin privileges. I also have an iTunes account and a music and video library in iTunes. I sync my iPod and iPhone to the iTunes account regularly.
I recently added my spouse as a "Standard" user. She has an iTunes account, an iPhone and an iPad. How do I get her iTunes configured to download her music and apps to sync with her devices without destroying my own music and apps in the process? We keep getting a warning that all my stuff will be deleted without the possibility of reinstatement for 90 days! What is up?

I agree with Chris CA that this is the way I would *expect* iTunes to behave.
When I look at iTunes from my account (my music is in ~/Music/iTunes/ and not available to my spouse's account), I can see in my music library all my rips and my purchases, just as I would expect. I can use Store>View My Account (<myAppleID>) and all is as expected. Home sharing is NOT on.
Doing the same from the other account is not much different, actually. Nothing in the library yet, of course. Store>View My Account (<herAppleID>) also works. I CAN authorize my computer to play her music. I CAN view her iTunes purchases. When I attempt to download the purchases to HER library, though, I get the following dialog box:
Now I interpret this to mean that this computer (mine) will not download from a different AppleID (also mine) for 90 days. Is that [interpretation] correct?

  • Can I have an iTunes account in my Mac and another in Parallels?

I download books from my local library and a small number of the books are in mp3 format; however, many more are in wma format, for PC. I tried the following: I opened Parallels and downloaded the Overdrive Media software for PC and then successfully downloaded a book. However, when I put my iPod in, it could not be recognized by OverDrive Media for pc, even though the iPod happens to be formatted for PC. The only way for me to get this book out of there seems to be to make 31 CDs and then import them all into iTunes on the Mac, but that is not an appealing option. Would it be possible for me to download iTunes in Parallels and get the files into that and then onto my iPod? If so, would I need to establish a different iTunes account? I would want to use the same name and credit card number, obviously. If this is possible, would it cause any problems with the iTunes account in the Mac side of the computer? By the way, I do NOT sync my files, since I like to keep different things on my iPod and in my iTunes.
Thanks for any help you can provide. Barbara

Yes, you can download iTunes for Windows using Parallels. If planning on making purchases here and/or authorizing already purchased tracks (from your Mac iTunes library), you are permitted to authorize five (5) computers as per iTunes Store terms of use, regardless of computing platform. No need to create a separate new iTunes Store account.
However, judging from what you would like to do, your best bet would be to convert the WMAs to AAC/MP3 in iTunes-Windows (iTunes-Mac cannot import WMA files), and drag the files from the Parallels window to your desktop to add to the iTunes-Mac library. (as the iPod itself is currently linked to your iTunes-Mac library)
    Hope this helps,
    Steve

  • How do i transfer an itunes account from my old computer to another computer which already has an itunes account registered to someone else

how do i transfer an itunes account from one computer to another which already has another account on it which is registered with someone else

There is no account stored on any computer, the library however is stored.
To move the iTunes library from one computer to another, copy the ENTIRE iTunes folder from one computer to another.

  • How can I have two iTunes accounts?

    Hi,
I currently live in a country but I've grown up in another country. When I set up my iTunes account I provided the details of the country where I live; however it happens that songs or magazines I would like to buy are only available in the iTunes store of the country where I grown up.
Can anybody help me in setting up two accounts in the two different stores in a way that all purchases are merged and I can see both on my iPhone / iPad?
I have credit cards for both countries.
    Many thanks in advance,
    Gianmario

Copy everything from the old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one.
Type "move itunes library from pc to mac" or similar into the google search bar.
