I had an iPad stolen from me. How do I get Apple to make that iPad invaid to use?

Thank you VERY much for this answer of yours! Tonight a con artist got his hands on my iPad2, and ran. The police wanted the s/n and you helped me find it on my iTunes account. Luckily it's insured, but that doesn't make me feel much better for falling for his game! Apparently he's been doing this, in this area, for the past few nights. Getting himself free Christmas presents, I guess....

You don't transfer Apple ID's from one device to another one. You sign out in the settings, )the App Store and iTunes if necessary) and then sign in with the other ID.
Settings>iTunes & App Stores>Apple ID>Sign out. Them sign in with the other ID. You can sign out of the app store and iTunes as well by going to the featured Atab in the App Store and the music tab in iTunes, swipe to the bottom and access the Apple ID in there.
You should have erased the iOad before you gave it to her in Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings. That way she could set up the iPad as new with her own Apple ID.
Be aware of the fact that if you use each others ID's in order to download past purchased content to your own iPads, you will lock yourself out of your own ID as you will have associated your iPad with the other person's Apple ID.
In other words, if you sign into your wife's ID on your iPad so that you can download an app or an album so that you don't have to pay for it again, you will lock yourself out of your Apple ID for 90 days.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
The app will find and wake the Apple TV when homesharing is properly configured. You will still need the Apple remote should you ever need to set up the Apple TV again though.

If you Create a NEW Apple ID...
It should be Noted that anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID

... well you answered your own queston. there is no reporting system..Apple doesn't track stolen equipment.. perhaps you bought Lojackforlaptops or turned on Find my Mac.. if you are at a college, you might want to ask your IT department if they can look for your IT via Mac's "MAC" address if you know it.

How Can I use Apple TV with my iPad Movies (AV Player HD App)

I have just set up an Apple TV and all is fine, except I do not seem to be able to play the movies I have on my iPad that I in the AV Player HD App.(a great app BTW).
I do not put my movies into iTunes any more as the App is perfect for watching movies on my iPad, but I want to see them on my TV, so I went and purchased the Apple TV. The Apple store guy said I would have no problems watching movies on the Apple TV from my iPad.

For Airplay, ensure all your software is up to date, restart all your devices as necessary, the Airplay icon should appear in the playback controller.
For content on your external HD, convert it to an Apple TV compatible format and add it to iTunes.

No. Once sn iOS version comes out that is not compatible with your hardware, you cannot, obviously, update iOS any longer. However, your iPad running the last release of iOS compatible with it will continue to run that iOS release at the same speed it always did.
Nothing about any computer ever slows down with age - your cpu, RAM and storage all function at the same speed as they always did. New software may add features that tax your system more than a newer system would be taxed, but nothing about your system changes just because the device ages.
At some point, our system simply is unable to update or run newer software because that newer or updated software requires hardware features that yours simply does not have. But your exisiting software on your existing hardware will continue to run just as it always has.
As to when your system becomse unable to handle new software or iOS features, that is purely a matter of how quickly newer hardware comes out and how quickly software developers move to new features that your system cannot handle.
There is no inherent reason to believe that an iPad 4 will not be compatible with the next release of iOS - it might not be, but it may very well be. Depends entirely on what changes the next release (whenever that may be) introduces, and what new device hardware Apple may be working on.

thanks man i found that site you told me about but it says on there right now your Apple ID has b en created before you can use it we need to make sure that my new id name belongs to you check your email and look for a verification email from apple click on the verify now link and sign in with your new apple id and password so what I did was go in to my email using my old id and password but there was no email there so I did with the new ones and nothing happened I am reely confused right now this stuff is pretty foorgion to me and my mom and my dads out of town so he can't help when I click on my profile on this site it comes up with my new id can you pm me back as soon as possible and explain what this means thanks.

You can only buy apple care once to extend your original warranty from one year to two. You can't keep reupping it every year if I'm understanding that's what you're trying to do.
After your device is two years old it's out of warranty and not eligible for any warranty from Apple (some retailers sell you up to 3 years of coverage, but you had to get that with the device)
