How do I hide the app names on the Dock?

I want to turn off the app names that display on the Dock. If it doesn't exist, I think it should be done. We (most people, I guess) already know most of the apps on their Dock. So hiding it will help making the interface more sleek.

My hard drive is called MacHD, yours won't be (unless you changed it to be that) normally it is MacintoshHD

when you connect your phone with your computer and use itunes you can click on the phone
and click on an update button
about facebook games then think they are all flash based and iphones cant do flash so thats not possible

I understand that you are having issues with your music displaying correctly. This may be an issues with the metadata stored within that song, and iTunes interpretation of that info.

Within Aperture you have Images, which are constructed on-the-fly from two files (the Master and the Version). You get an image-format file _only_ when you export an Image. You select the file name (usually a scheme) when you create an image-format file (that is, when you export). Look under "Aperture→Presets→File Naming" for built-in Presets. You can, of course, create your own or customize any provided.
The Preset is applied to only the file newly created by your "export" command. It is not applied to the Image in Aperture (unless you rename your Versions or your Masters).

I am trying to compile an adobe air app for iOS with Danish app name? I can get localization to work with eg English, French and German, but not with Danish...
I put
<name> <text xml:lang="en"> English </ text> <text xml:lang="da"> and Danish </ text> </name>
in the app.xml before i compile with the adt, but after compile i can see that only the English name is created in the InfoPlist.strings of the ipa.
Any ideas on how to achieve a localized app name?

Helo fideld, officially Adobe Air don't support Danish language. But I may help you.

You may understand that patched adt.jar was produced by me and not by Adobe.
I just done this for you as a part of community friendly support. It's allow to add "da" language.
1. Open your *-app.xml
2. Add lang="da"
3. Go to supportedLanguages in XML and add "da" also there so it's will be like "en fr de da".
Patched ADT was made from original latest 4.0.0.1619 and you must use http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/air.html 4.0.0.1619 before apply this patch

This works for apps you've acquired, but does not work for built-in features. I am regularly nagged to update Digital Camera RAW Compatibility (currently I'm being nagged about Update 6.03). I've tried the method described above - the steps are available, but they appear to have no effect. I think this is perhaps because RAW compatibility is an element of OSX rather than a separate app. I don't use RAW format with cameras, and have no need for this feature. Even if I did, I have none of the 13 camera models listed in this update.

Apple doesnt give this feauture and there are certain apps in app store under utilities which provide password facility under this app and u can store photos videos and orther stuff and lock so
Kids will be not able to access this single app ortherwise there is no such feature of locking apps feature given by apple

Demo's answer explains how to hide it in iTunes... but if I understand correctly, you're trying to hide the icon on the iPad screen but still have the app on the iPad? There's no way to do that. You could put an app in a folder, which isn't exaclty hiding it, but is the closest you can come. If you enable restrictions the app will be hidden, but that only works for certain apps and you'd have to turn off the restrictions to use it.

Guys this is absolute rubbish feature of the login application where people's login names get recorded in the dropdown menu. Is there any more permanent way of getting rid of this annoying privacy intrusive "feature"?
