How do I import pre-OS5 photos on my iPhone to iPhoto?

I updated the OS on my iPhone 4 to 5 back in October, and since then all the photos I have taken w/ my phone have shown up in iPhoto via photostream.  BUT, I want to transfer photos I took with my iPhone before the October upgrade into iPhoto and can no longer figure out how to do so.  Before iCloud, connecting my phone to my iMac would open iPhoto and give me the option to import photos (exactly the same as if a camera was attached).  But since the upgrade, that option is gone, presumably because photos are now moved via photostream.  BUT photostream isn't moving photos that predate the OS 5 upgrade, leaving me with a huge group of photos that are on my phone, but not on my iMac.  Any suggestions on an efficient way to move them?  (Emailing individual photos isn't an option -- I have a large photo library.)  Thanks.

Nevermind.  I tried disconnecting and reconnecting my phone and now it shows up in iPhoto and Image Capture as before.  Not sure why it didn't previously, as it was showing up in iTunes.

  • How do I import all my photos from my iPhone into iPhoto?

Following the directions for importing, iPhoto only shows 131 photos for importing which seems to be a random selection from my 21 different files containing almost 1100 photos.  I want to import all my photos and would prefer they import in the labeled files that I have on my iPhone.  Why is this so difficult?
    Thanks for any help provided!!

    Note that
You can import only photo and video content taken with the built-in camera or captured on the device.
In other words the camera roll photos
If you have PhotoStream you can add the other photos to PS and import to your Mac from PS

  • TS3989 Only some of the photos I have taken on my iPhone appear in the photo stream on my iPad even thou they were taken at the same time. Why is this and how can I import the other photos from my iPhone to my iPad?

Only some of the photos I have taken on my iPhone appear in the photo stream on my iPad even thou they were taken at the same time. Why is this and how can I import the other photos from my iPhone to my iPad?

If older photos are missing it may be because photo stream photos are only held in iCloud for 30 days.  After that they are removed from iCloud but will remain (up to 1000 photos) on your device until deleted.  Also, only photos taken after enabling photo stream are added to your photo stream, and only when the camera is closed, your device is connected to wifi and you have at least 20% battery life remaining.
To transfer the missing photos you can either create a shared photo stream containing them and invite yourself to it (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99), import the photos to your computer and sync them to your iPad, or use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your iPad over wifi.

  • How do I import all the photos from my iPhone 5 to my iPhone 6?

I have recently purchased a new iPhone 6. I currently have the 5 with nearly 3000 photos on it. I do not wish to lose them so how do I import all those photos on to my new phone?

You import then to your computer, then you sync them from computer to iPhone using iTunes.  Or, you make a backup of the iPhone 5, then restore that backup to the iPhone 6.

  • How do I import a single photo into my iPhone?

I have just got my first iPhone and i can't find how to import one photo to the phone

What I do is this:  on my computer I create a folder with a name like "for iPhone"', and copy or drag any photos that I want on the phone into that folder.  So you could do it with just one photo.  Then when I go to sync photos when the phone is connected, when on the "sync photos" tab of iTunes, I browse for that folder tick to sync just that selected folder.
I hope you can follow.  It's quite easy when you know how!

I couldn't find Image Capture at my first try, butI will try again. Do you inow how I can find the corrupted photo on my iPhone? Im a bit lost..
Sorry, I just noticed, I made a mistake. "Image Capture" is in the Applications folder, not Utilities. And it may have a different name on your Mac, if your system language is not English:  Look for the icon with the camera:
When Image Capture can import from your iPhone, spilt the folder with the imported photos in several small subfolders and try to import them separately to iPhoto. This way, you can identify a subset of photos with the corrupted one.
Then try to import from that small subset one by one, until you hit the culprit. And then delete that photo or video from the phone.

  • How do I recover a deleted photo from my iphone

how do I recover a deleted photo from my iphone?

The iPhone Photo Recovery allows you to recover data by two ways: Recover from iOS devices and recover from iTunes backup. No matter which way you choose, the first step is to download and install the software on your computer. Then follow the way below to get back your data.
Part 1: Directly recover photo from iPhone 5/4S, iPad mini, iPad with Retina display, The New iPad, iPad 2 & iPod touch 5
article: How to recover deleted photos from iPhone.
Part 2: Recover Data Directly from iPhone 4/3GS, iPad 1 & iPod touch 4
Part 3: Extract iTunes Backup to Recover Previous Data for All iOS Devices
This data recovery mode lets you recover not only existing data in the backup, but also those data deleted from your device before you made the backup, as long as they were not overwritten.
Note: Don't sync your device with iTunes when you realize that you've lost data, or the iTunes backup file will be updated after the sync, if you want to recover them through this recovery mode.

  • How do I take 300 dpi photos with my iPhone 4s? And how do I export them to my MacBook Pro at 300 dpi to use as I want to print photos.

How do I take 300 dpi photos with my iPhone 4s?
And how do I export them to my MacBook Pro at 300 dpi to use as I want to print photos.
I have been using the standard camera on the iPhone and require 300 dpi to create photo books as the photos are resized according the layout.
Your time and assistance in appreciated.
    Thanks

    Thanks Tonefox!
After looking at a few of the links I found a mathematical equation that assisted me.
    Inches = Pixels/DPI
    eg: 3 inches = 300 pixels/100 DPI
Using this equation and the fact that iPhone 4s takes photos that are 3264 x 2448 I was able to work out the largest print I could make with 300 DPI.
    Width 3264 pix/ 300 DPI = 10.88 inches
    Height 2448 pix/ 300 DPI = 8.16 inches
Therefore, the largest print (with 300DPI) I can make of these photos is 10.88 inches x 8.16 inches.
    Which is great!
So is it critical for me to change the dpi in say photoshop or does it not matter as long as I don't go above the 10.88 inches x 8.16 inches?
From what I can gather the smaller I resize the photo the higher the DPI and the bigger I stretch the photo the lower the DPI?
Further clarification will be much appreciated. Thanks

Anyone know how to transfer photos from ios7 iphone into iPhoto or Aperture on my OS 10.8 iMac?

Thx.  I thought that was what the various manuals were telling me to do but it wasn't working.  Your confirmation was useful in that it prompted me to double check (again) my usb connection (in its highly inconvenient location in the back of my iMac).  Voila.  "Always suspect operator error."
