How do I install icloud on my MacBook Air

How do I install iCloud on my MacBook Air?

The functionality of iCloud is integrated into the OS once you update to to Lion OS X 10.7.2.
Then use the iCloud preference pane in System Preferences to setup the connection to your Apple ID and configure the apps to be synced.

  • How can i install iwork dvd in Macbook Air?

Somebody know how can i install iwork dvd in Macbook Air? I try to use the CD compartment from my Macbook pro, but it don't work... tks

First, share your MB pro DVD drive on the network in System Preferences > Sharing.
Insert the iWork DVD into the MBpro's drive.
Then go to your MBair and click "Remote Disc" in the Finders Sidebar.
You'll see your MBpro listed in the finder window.  Click the arrow next to The MBpro name and you'll see the shared DVD.  Double click that and the installation process should begin.

  • How do I install iCloud to my MacBook?

I am trying to install iCloud in my MacBook and MacBook Pro laptops.  I checked for updates and it comes back saying updated, but when I go to Sytem Preferences, it doesn't come up on there at all.  Am I missing something?  How can I get it in my computers?

iCloud is a service that requires OSX Lion to activate.
As Niel says, you will have to upgrade to Lion via the Mac App Store and then go to www.icloud.com to setup your iCould on all the devices under your AppleID.

  • How do I install from superdrive onto macbook air

I am trying to install adobe photoshop onto macbook air with superdrive. How do I do this?

Connect the superdrive and insert the disc, it should start the installer.
If not, Go to Finder > Preferences > General tab > check CDs, DVDs and iPods under Show these items on the desktop.  This should give you an icon on the desktop of the Superdrive.  Double click the icon and choose the installer app on the DVD.

  • How do i install oracle on my macbook air

    Hi,
I want to install oracle on my macbook air for a specific project. I don't want to run on any virtual machine or whatsoever. I want to find out if there is a way by which i can run it on my mac drive.
Any help will be welcome. Thanks.

    Oracle.com
    Downloads available there.
But be aware not all of the latest and greatest versions are ported to MacOSX.  Perhaps the latest version you can run is 10g (last I saw it was).
Oracle intalls are hungry beasts with complex installs, and the installed subpackages in Mac are required for Oracle due to "compiling" that occurs during install.

  • How do you install Windows 7 on Macbook Air with a Windows 7 ISO image?

Macbook Airs have no optical drives, and I can't buy one. I do, however, have the Windows 7 ISO image. And I also have access to a Windows 7 PC. I found an article on CNET on installing from a Flash Drive, but that requires the CD. I also have a hard drive (120GB) and Flash USB (4GB), if they could help. Please help me as many programs I am familiar with are only windows-based. I am tried using open-source software like Wineskin Winery and WineBottler, but to no avail, I always end up confused with them. Please help me.

Crjohnson, I think you can really help me!
Okay, how do you use Wine? I don't want to install lots of software like MacPorts, just want the minimal software. So there are many things like Wine, WineBottler, and Wineskin Winery. What do I use for what? For example, I want to turn a windows game (Age of Empires 2 for example) into a full Mac App. How would I go about this?
I tried researching but it is so in-depth with terminal commands and all(i dont want to risk ruining my computer)
What is crossover? Is it another wine app?
Oh, and I tried Winery Wineskin...why doesn't it work? It keeps installing random things like Gecko, or Mono, but in the end, it doesn't work. Do I need the windows app's executable, or the window's apps's installation executable??
What are engines, and how many do I need to create? I think the best thing for me is to learn wine, because installing windows with bootcamp isn't worth the effort, I think, with me having only a few apps i need to run.
As for learning mac apps only, well, Windows apps dominate the market with most of applications being made for windows, especially games, with 90% market. So for some apps, there just isn't a mac version available, or if there is, it's costly. (Which you already know I can't buy things)
You probably cannot afford to buy Crossover either.  It is designed for user friendliness though, but of course Wine cannot run everything.
Yes you have to learn some things to use Wineskin.  Normally on Gecko and Mono prompt, just cancel them.  Gecko is needed if you have a program using mshtml (its basically a replacement for Internet Explorer for programs that use parts of it).  Mono is a replacement for .NET if your program requires that.  You do not want to install them if you don't need them as they will just waste space.  You can always refresh the wrapper later on and get the same prompts if you find out you need them later.
You can copy the full installed version of a game inside the Wineskin wrapper and try to set it up that way, but its usually easier to just run the installer and install it inside the wrapper just like you'd install it in Windows.
An Engine is something you download... its basically a specific Wine build made for a Wineskin wrapper.
If you do not want to learn Wineskin enough to get in and port your programs yourself, you can often find other people who have done so (at least with games).
Check out sites like PaulTheTall.com who has tons of Wineskin wrappers already made and ready to go for many games... you just download the wrapper, install the game you want in it using the normal Installer, then its ready to go.  Many you'll need to manually update yourself to Wineskin 2.5.8 though since all the older versions broke ok the OS X 10.8.2 and 10.7.5 update, and Paul hasn't gotten to all of them yet since he has hundreds (including AoE 2 i think).
There is also Portingteam.com which has tons of pre-made wrappers for games (Including Cider hacks from official games).
If your talking about non-Game apps though, you can normally find an alternative... many of which are free.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
If you have another Mac or PC, you can use Remote Disc to install Office > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5287?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
If you haven't got any other computer, then you have to buy an optical drive. You can buy the external optical drive you want, without having to buy the official SuperDrive

  • How do i install icloud into my macbook pro?

I'm trying to back up my music into icloud but i noticed that my laptop does not have it so i would like to know how to install it.. If someone could help me would be awsome

If you're referring to iTunes Store purchases, the process is handled automatically if it's available at all in your country, but shouldn't be considered a backup.
If you're referring from music from other sources, click here and follow the instructions.

So I have an MBA for touring and need a few pointers..
I've made my project on my MacBook Pro and irts ready for the road.
I have Logic Studio as an upgrade from Logic Pro 7. Does this really mean that I have to install from LP7 in order to get to install Mainstage 2 via my Logic Pro upgrade.. Seems like it will take a fair while considering I'm also having to use another mac's dvd drive to do so..
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

So my understanding is that my Boot Camp Assistant (BCA), since it does not allow USB installer, it sets NVRAM to boot from Optical Drive. Right?
    Yes.
So can I change it or update it to another BCA version which supports the same??
All BCA versions drive the logic based on the Mac Model Identifier. Unfortunately there is no real workaround. .
