How do I install Kuler extension in Flash CC

Hello,
I'm trying to get the kuler extension for Flash CC. I've already downloaded/installed Adobe Extension Manager and AdobeExchange but still when I go to Window/ Extensions inside of Flash ith says: 'No extensions are installed'
I've tried to Quit out of Flash and re-enter but there's still nothing there. Please help.
Thanks,
Jacqui

Well, this makes things more difficult. A lot of my clients and their users have slower internet that I do, I was really trying to gage what type of user experience they might have.
Is there any indication if the 'simulation download settings' options will be brought back to CC, or added to Scout? I found it to be quite a handy feature.

  • How can I install an extension using Extension Manager CC?

    I have a mac running OSX 10.9.4.
    I have Photoshop CC 2014.1.0 / 20140730.r.148 x64
I have Extension Manager CC 7.2.1.6
According to "Creative Cloud" manager,  my versions of software are up to date.
I tried installing three different extensions.  None of them load. When I double click on the extension file, it launches Extension Manager CC, but it appears that Extension Manager does not recognize that I have other Adobe products installed.  E.g., "Failed to install the extension 'XYZ.' Please make sure the manifest.xml of this extension is valid and the Extension Manager recognizes at least one product which the extension supports."  I get variations on this message, but the common thread seems to be "Extension Manager recognizes at least one product which the extension supports."
When I choose "Manage Extensions" from the Help menu in Photoshop, it just launches "Creative Cloud" manager, which tells me all of the software is up to date.  (The first time that I tried this, it re-installed Extension Manager CC). Nothing else happens -- e.g., it does not launch Extension Manager.
Any suggestions?  How do I get Extension Manager CC to recognize that I have Photoshop CC installed?

One more thing -- I have seen references in postings to an "Extension Panel" under the "Window" menu.  I do not see that item in Photoshop CC.  (There is "Browse Extensions Online," which allows me to find more things that I can't load).

  • How do I install an extension that I created?

I created an extension using this tutorial (http://blog.mozilla.com/addons/2009/01/28/how-to-develop-a-firefox-extension/), as well as other sources.
    Error text:
''Firefox could not install this item because "install-48j..rdf" (provided by the item) is not well-formed or does not exist. Please contact the author about this problem.''
Note that the three characters between the dash and the 2 dots changes every time I try an install. I tried installing it on 2 different versions of FF on Windows.

  • How can I install an extension when it conflicts with an existing one that doesn't appear in the list of extensions?

I'm trying to install Guide Guide for Photoshop CS 2014 using the Adobe Extension Manager CC but when clicking on the 3.1.2-guideguide.zxp I recieve the following error, "This extension cannot be installed, since it conflicts with a existing one. To install this extension, please remove the extension 'GuideGuide' which has been installed in ", then install again."  Note that there is some code breaking in there where ", is.  When I open Adobe Extension Manager CC there are no extensions listed.  None under any of the products to the left.  I can't uninstall it if it's not listed.
After reviewing the forums I have gone into my %appdata%\Roaming\Adobe\ folder and removed all folders for previous versions of Adobe Extension Manager.
Any help with this issue would be appreciated.  Thank you for your time.

Please delete "C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Extension Manager CC\Configuration\DB\ExMan.db" then retry. Note that "C:\ProgramData" is hidden by default. You can input C:\ProgramData in the address bar of Windows Explorer then press "Enter" key to go into this folder.

  • How to silently install global extensions

I know how to install extensions globally. I've gotten that far with this. What I need is for it to NOT prompt a user to accept the extension installation when they launch firefox.
I am on windows 7 using firefox 17, but I need to implement this on windows server 2008 using firefox 16.

That is not possible. A user always needs to confirm installing a new extension.

  • How to avoid installing newer version of flash player

    Hey,
After installing the newer version of flash player it caused troubles to me, and I don't see any way but to install an older version of Flash Player, however after I have installed it the game forces me to Install the newest version of Flash Player, otherwise it cannot run. So here is my question. How can I use an older version of Flash Player I had before without installing the newer version of it?
    - Dan

Hi, You can go to this test site to see if you have Flash Player Installed on your 10.6.5 Mac.
    http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
Then this link has info on how to Uninstall Flash Player (if needed) and Install the latest version. It is a step by step.
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/865/cpsid_86551.html
After reading that info and you just need to Install, then this link would be easier:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html
Flash Player is a browser plugin and as long as your browser is supported by Adobe Flash Player, then you shouldn't have any problem.
    Hope that helps,

  • How do you install JAXP extensions from an applet?

    All:
I want to use the JAXP XML parsers and DOM services in an Applet.
How do I get the Java-plugin to download the xerces.jar and xalan.jar files automatically, with my applet jar?
What goes in the applet manifest?
Do I have to alter the xerces and xalan manifests?
    Brad

Thanks, but I wish I could report success today.
I believe what I stated before may have been confusing: the extension LIST is, indeed, in the manifest of the applet.jar.
The extension NAMES, and digital signatures, however, are ALSO in the manifest of xerces.jar. I re-read and re-read the documentation and believe I have interpreted it correctly. The xerces.jar is the implementation of the extension, and as such, must pass muster, securitywise, if it is to be allowed to be installed in the jre\lib\ext folder.
You are correct in saying I do not have to unjar the xerces.jar to rebuild it with the correct manifest information. The latest jar tool permits updating an existing jar file. Here is the bat file I currently use to create the installable version of xerces.jar:
    copy Original-xerces.jar xerces.jar
    jar -ufm xerces.jar manifest.txt
    jarsigner -keystore d:\develop\beckrose\java\keystores\underground.keystore xerces.jar underground
    (it then prompts for password)
The manifest.txt that is used to update xerces.jar is:
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Created-By: 1.3.0 (Sun Microsystems Inc.)
    Name: javax/xml/parsers/
    Extension-Name: javax.xml.parsers
    Specification-Vendor: Sun Microsystems Inc.
    Specification-Version: 1.2
    Implementation-Vendor: Sun Microsystems Inc.
    Implementation-Vendor-Id: com.sun
    Implementation-Version: 1.2.0-EA1
    Name: org/apache/xerces
    Extension-Name: org.apache.xerces
    Specification-Vendor: Sun Microsystems Inc.
    Specification-Version: 1.2
    Implementation-Vendor: Apache Software Foundation
    Implementation-Vendor-Id: org.apache
    Implementation-Version: Xerces-J_2_0_0_beta3
The manifest file in the applet.jar refers to these extensions, so that the java plugin knows how and where to fetch them:
    Extension-List: parsers xerces
    parsers-Extension-Name: javax.xml.parsers
    parsers-Specification-Version: 1.2
    parsers-Implementation-Vendor-Id: com.sun
    parsers-Implementation-Version: 1.2.0-EA1
    parsers-Implementation-URL: http://beckrose:8080/underground/opt-pkg/xerces.jar
    xerces-Extension-Name: org.apache.xerces
    xerces-Specification-Version: 1.2
    xerces-Implementation-Vendor-Id: org.apache
    xerces-Implementation-Version: Xerces-J_2_0_0_beta3
    xerces-Implementation-URL: http://beckrose:8080/underground/opt-pkg/xerces.jar
If you look back at the error message, it does appear that the jaxp factory method is looking for a concrete class of the factory implementation. I believe this is where the plug-in is getting confused. The name of the concrete factory classes are in the META-INF/services folder. However, the concrete factory implementation that it is trying to use is the old crimson parser by default.
In other words, the plugin is not allowing the xerces factory method to find the classname to load. As a result, it is falling back to the default, which is not implemented in the jar file.
Now, it could be that the added manifest attributes and signature file are screwing up xerces or it could be a bug in the plugin.
I don't quite know where to take this right now, so I'll monitor the plugin discussions and check out the xml.apache.org discussions.
All I know is, it should NOT be this hard, this many years after Java 2 has been released.

  • How to successfully install and use Adobe Flash Player on an iMac?

I have the latest OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.  It makes actually several years that I have not been able to view videos that use Adobe Flash Player.  This is true of several sports websites I like such as ATPtour.com and ESPN.com.  A few days ago I have upgraded my OS to the most current one.  And, I retried downloading Adobe Flash Player and it made no difference.  I tried to see the videos using numerous different browzers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox) with no success.
I know Steve jobs hated Adobe Flash Player because it was so inefficient.  But, I thought one could still use it with Mac computers.  Are you guys having as much difficulty as I am?  If not what are the solutions to running Adobe Flash Player?  Thank you in advance for your information.

  • Successfully using a Native Extension with Flash CS5.5 Pro, having issues

    Hey all,
I'm trying to use a native extension due to an app rejection about the new storage guidelines. I'm hoping someone can help me figure out how to use a native extension from Flash CS5.5 and the adt command line utility (I've never used before).
Apples storage guidelines in 5.0.1 require files saved to Documents (and other places) to be marked with the icloud "do not back up" bit. I'm trying to use Adobe's IOS 5.0.1 data storage native extension to do that as I have file sharing enabled and my app downloads files I want the user to be able to copy to their desktop.
From the bits and fragments I'm reading all over, getting it to compile means using the command line adt tool (I've never used it before) because Flash Pro CS5.5 doesn't support native extensions. Also, this native extension requires a v14 SWF published (11.1) and CS5.5 only goes up to 10.2 (or higher if you install the players).
I edited the AiriPhone.xml file and pointed it to an AIR 3.1 airglobal.swc and I have AIR 3.1 overlayed in flash. I can't test AIR for iOS anymore after that change but I can get it to compile a SWF. The adt command line adt utility stopped complaining that my SWF version was 13 when it needed 14, so I assume this worked?
I am trying to compile a debug version so I can see trace statements to see if the native extension reports success on changing the bit. Here is my command line cobbled together from scraps of info on adobe.com and the -help data:
    adt -package -target ipa-debug -connect 192.168.1.80 -provisioning-profile myApp.mobileprovision -storetype pkcs12 -keystore myApp.p12 myApp.ipa myApp-app.xml myApp.swf dat AppIconsForPublish Default-Landscape.png Default-LandscapeRight.png -extdir extensionDir
Before this iCloud change this app published directly from Flash Pro CS5.5 without any issues. I am only running into issues getting this app to work with this native extension and/or published correctly.
I am including the folders "dat" and "AppIconsForPublish" as well as splash screens (this app is landscape-only) as well as that extension in the folder extensionDir.
After putting in my password my app compiles into an IPA which I can drop into iTunes. It has the same general size as the IPA generated from Flash Pro. The icon is correct, etc.
When I sync this file, the progress bar goes across, I see it loading on my iPad and then once it goes to install I get a popup saying "iTunes Sync: 'myApp' failed to install."
Is there anything obvious wrong with my adt line? Has anyone else used this native extension? Ideas on what I can do to fix this?
No, unfortunately I did not build this with Flash Builder. I am an avid user of it now and this would be a moot point as it uses ANEs and changes SWF versions trivially. I have to get this to compile using Flash Pro CS5.5 though.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!
    edit:
Just FWIW, after I updated the .xml to use the latest AIR and such (so the version is 14) I removed the extension, exported purely from Flash Pro CS5.5 and the app works fine. As soon as I enable the <extension> in the XML I can no longer install the app. This just appears to be a noob adt publish issue.

My app downloads PDFs, movies and other information-esque files and saves them to the apps Documents folder so they can be retrieved via file sharing. These files not being in something purgable like /Library/Caches and not having the "do not back up" bit is why I was rejected.
update: It's definitely my command line building.. I took out the native extension completely and published from flash to an IPA and it works. I then run adt on the same SWF that just worked and it fails to install. So the install failing is my command line. I see this article and my command line is very similar. I'm really uncertain why it's failing.

If you're on Vista, then try running Extension Manager as
Administrator. Right Click on the Extension Manager and select Run
as Administrator. And it may be that you might need to be logged
into your OS as the Administrator user.

I haven't done this in Windows 7, only XP, but I imagine something similar will work....
    Here is the uninstaller: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
Here are the instructions for "safe uninstall": http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402435.html
And here are the archived players: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html
Also I think there was something about using a "/clean" switch after the uninstall command.
It was a little while ago, so there might be newer versions out there....
