How do i install older versions of apps on an older iPhone that has been updated to latest version it supports?

how do i install an older compatible version of pandora? I have an older 3G iphone i want to stream music from. OS is 4.2.1 and basically nothing installs and the OS will not upgrade past that OS version.

You could try this.
On your PC - download the latest version of the App.
Once downloaded, select the App for syncing to your Phone.
You will get a message saying it is not compatible.
If you are lucky it may offer a previous version as an alternative.
Worth a try. It has worked on several apps on my old version 2 iPod.

Sorry to hear that. I understand your frustration and I hope they send back a better working N78-3.
Myself, I count myself lucky. Everything works perfectly for me right now...email, bluetooth, maps, gps, 3rd party apps, battery life, 3G, wifi, etc. etc.
The only issue I've been having is the dreaded reboots but I believe that may have to do with 3rd party apps. I recently uninstalled Google Search app from my N78 and since then it hasn't rebooted or shown any issues. This seems odd at first but makes sense if you think about the fact that the Google Search app loads itself into memory and runs in the background at all times.
I did this this past Tuesday night and so far no reboots, crashes or any problems. I'm sure I just jinxed myself but I've been using it heavily over the last few days with no issues. Prior to this, it would usually reboot every 2 days. If it doesn't reboot for another few days I'll be happy.
I would normally not stand for this but I just love the phone and if I got something else it'd probably be the iPhone 3G which has perhaps more software bugs and issues than the N78-3!!

How can I handle deploying multiple test systems on the same PC that have been developed using different versions of LabVIEW, TestStand, and/or Switch Executive?

The major issue here is that the test systems must be documented and validated before being released to the production floor. Given this if a test station has multiple test systems deployed on it that have been developed on various versions of LV, TS, and Switch exec how can I force the test system selected to use the correct versions of TS, LV, and Switch exec.? I understand that the solution would be to recomplie everything and bring them up to the latest version but that would then require re-validation according to the QA department. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
It would be nice if theTS deployment was more like an LV executable... meaning when a LV executable is launched it always knows what LV runtime engine to use when there are multiple engines installed on a PC.

Multiply versions of teststand can reside on the same system, but only one version can run at a time. They is a utility that has to be run to set the active version.
The SequenceFiles have a version number, and you will find an error will be generate if you try to Load the sequencefile in the wrong version of TestStand.
The labview VIs will only work providing the correct version of the RTE is also installed on your system, even a labview executabe requires the correct RTE to be installed, either as part of the executable installation or as a seperate installation, before the labview exe will work correctly.
I'm not fimilar with the Switch exec but I would expect that it will also require the correct lower level device drivers to be available for the version you are using.
Therefore, as you are indicating that some of your system are at a older version, its difficult to image how you could achive this, considering if you say you have different versions of the software(s). For a start, you may have the problem that newer code/ sequencefiles using additional functionatily not available in the older versions.
I would think your only solution would be to have different deployments covering the different versions you have, or at least bring all your test systems up to the same version of teststand.

Issue with publishing an application that has been updated (application with multiple versions)

We are using App-V 5.0 SP1.
I have a package that will need to get patched whenever new security updates are released. The first version of the application always works fine, but when I update the application and re-publish it, a normal user is unable to pull down the new version.
When this occurs I am able to get everything going by logging into the server with an admin account and performing a sync (Get-AppvPublishingServer | Sync-AppvPublishingServer; Get-AppvClientApplication"). What is it about applications that
have been updated that would cause this behavior?
The issue is similar to what the hotfix below addresses, but since we are on 5.0 SP1 I am unsure if this applies still.

You confirm that the Version 1 package of Application Virtualization 5.0 is synched, and then you log off the client.
You publish a Version 2 package of an application, and then you remove the Version 1 application
You log on to the client by using a user account.
The application is not published to the user

Iphone 5s error when updating the latest version of ios.

I'Ve updated to the 8.0 version and some apps did not open. Now I've updated the 8.0.2 version and the minute i accepted terms and conditions the screen went black with the apple. Till then it was ok for me. But then it started flahing to a blue screen. Its not respondindg to the update correctly. Since then its been like four hours and its still the same.

From your post I understand that your iPhone will not boot up after updating the iOS version. First, I'd like you to please try and reset the device. If the issue persists, then you will need to put the device into recovery mode, and restore it to its factory settings.

Can I re-install OS X v10.5.8 on a Mac that's been updated to OS X 10.6.x?

I'm looking to buy a used 2007 or 2008 imac. For some reason none of them seem to come with the orig. install discs, & most have been updated to either Snow leopard, or Lion. (It may sound odd to want to do this, but I have an Epson 545 printer, & the "Epson Scan" works with Mac OS X 10.5.8, but not 10.6.x or 10.7.x). Would it be as simple as wiping the hard drive, & downloading OS X 10.5.8? TIA!

You need to install 10.5.8 from a compatible install DVD onto a blank partition or drive; you don't necessarily need to erase the entire internal drive, but if you choose to repartition it, you may lose the ability to use Boot Camp.

After ios 7, apps that has been updated still remain in update list in App Store

After updating to the ios 7, whenever I update my apps, even after it's been updated it still stays in the updated list in the App Store. This applies both to my iphone 5 and iPad mini. Is there a way to resolve this? Am I the only one facing this issue?

If this is occurring with apps from multiple vendors, try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
If from a single app, or apps from the same vendor, you may need to reach out to the vendor.
I'm not having any issues with Magazine apps.

How do I install a foxit button on my tool bar? I recently upgraded to the latest version, but my tool bar does not contain a firefox button which is need for certain tasks, such as private browsing.

I had an existing laters 3 point whatever version of Firefox and recently upgraded to Firefox 10. This new version still has the old toolbar across the top, but there is no "Firefox button" which one has to use to activate certain action such as "private browsing." Is there anyway I can install the button on the toolbar, or is there a way to change to the new version 10 interface which includes the Firefox Button. I would prefer the former (the old configuration with the tool bar on top, but if that cannot be done, how to I migrate to the new configuration which apparently puts the tools on the side, if I'm not mistaken.

If you have the old fashioned toolbar, you can still go into Private browsing by clicking Tools, then "Start Private Browsing". All the options that are in the Firefox button are in the old style toolbar, just maybe a little more hidden.
To enable te Firefox button, go into View, then Toolbars, then uncheck "Menu Bar". You should have the Firefox button.

Make sure you are using the same Apple ID and password you used to originally purchase Final Cut X.
If you are running Lion v10.7 as your profile suggests, installing the OS X Lion Update 10.7.3 (Client Combo) will reinstall the App Store for you which may help.
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed and try to update the software.

Sounds like your iPhone was hacked/modified/jailbroken to work
with wireless carrier other than the one it was purchased from. The
update has relocked it to the original carrier. Contact the original
carrier to see if they offer unlocking and if you qualify - only the
carrier to which the iPhone is locked can unlock it.
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>Carrier?
Be advised that the previous modifications to change from original carrier
to your local Carrier may have rendered the software unable to be updated or
officially unlocked.

Only iTunes content and photos transferred from another computer is affected when transferring iTunes content and photos from a different computer. Contacts aren't touched unless you choose to sync contacts with a supported address book app. Messages aren't included with the iTunes sync process and the same for photos/videos in the iPhone's Camera Roll.

There is actually something you can do with the settings on your devices. As long as you only want your personal information split, you can use two IDs on the same phone to do it.
Your Apple ID is stored in 4 places in your Settings app. Only the iTunes and App Stores settings governs purchases, so that is the one you both want to be signed into the same ID for. The other 3 are iCloud, FaceTime, and Messages (under Send and Receive). FaceTime, iCloud, and Messages are the settings that use your personal data, but do not affect purchases. Signing into a different ID for each of you on those three and keeping the Store settings the same for both will let you keep your personal information the separate, but still share purchases.
If you need it to do something else, let us know and there might be something else we can do.
