How do I keep a file open and am able to look at all the pictures in the file?
I want to oepn a file with 24 picturees for example. I want to keep that file open so that I can see all 24. Then I can work on 1 picture or another. Now each time i finish with a picture and save it if I then open another pciture it overlays the other. I was able to do the above in my earlier version of photoshop.
Editor preferences>general, and turn on Allow Floating Documents. Then Window>Images>float all in windows.

I've just updated OS to 10.10.1 and Finder keeps trying to open and then closes every 2 seconds with the message Finder is not Available. If Safari is opened with the window full screen it immediately closes and will only work with window smaller than maximum. Driving me mad! Any help please!!

OS X: 10.7.4 (11E53)HTML files are normally configured to open in a browser. The default on a Mac is to open the file in Safari.
You can right-click the filename in the Mac Finder, and select Open With > Dreamweaver CS5 from the context menu.
Alternatively, select an HTML file in Mac Finder, and press Cmd+I to open the Info panel. In the Open With section, select Dreamweaver CS5 as the default program, and click the Change All button. -

How I can keep my MBP nice and speedy?
I finally jumped out of my Windows and into a Mac. I have used a Macbook at work for 3 years with very little trouble. I am an educator who lost my job right after I invested in a Macbook Pro and it seems to FREEZE UP frequently. I have seen the "spinning rainbow wheel of death" more times than I can recall. I have had the machine exactly 1 month.
Someone mentioned to me that it may be my Office 2008; the scripts don't seem to play nicely. I am at a loss. I invested in this because I wanted less drama than my "Dell from ****."
Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can keep my MBP nice and speedy?
Is there a limit to how many applications I should have on the dock?
Should I keep everything off of the desktop?
I am also a web developer and I have been using:
adobe CS4 web suite.
Captivate
Second Life
Firefox (With many plug-ins)
MAMP Pro
ITUNES
Office 2008
Imovie
Frequently.
I don't turn it off everyday.

jdGet Onyx. It has some automated scripts that keep your mac's performance really good.
Personally, I'd try using Onyx, if that doesn't help, just put your Ma OSX Install DVD inside, boot from it and install the OS again. All files and settings will be left intact (don't forget to update your system after installing it).
Make sure you have the latest Office version installed, as earlier versions are known to disable some system tasks, therefore making OSX unstable. -
I can't start Facetime. Keep getting a pop-up window saying that "an internal FaceTime error occured. There was a problem with FaceTime.

How do I save an IPhoto library onto a new hard drive while library is open? It is a miracle I got it open, and it has refused to be copied the usual way (by dragging its icon to destination drive). i want to save those photos!
My external Lacie Hard drive that contains the IPhoto library is a "locked volume." Wow, now it is suddenly letting me copy it. I dragged the library's icon to the new destination (a 3T hard drive) and it is working so far.
I have also had problems copying my IMovie events from this drive, whose data I'm trying to save. It reaches a certain video and stops. I will delete that video and try again. -

getColumns() which gives u the number of columns in the text area.
To get the number of rows present u have the function
getRowCount() which returns an int that specifies the number of rows in the text area.
