How do i know if my ipad is an ipad 2

I purchased my iPad from a reputable retailer however it was a customer return and it did not have the original plastic on the package. I am concerned that the customer may have done a switch and returned an iPad in and iPad 2 box for a bigger refund. How do I know that my iPad is a 2 and not an original iPad?

The problem arises when someone sets the activation lock which is set by logging onto your apple id then setting the appropriate option. DEP is the preferred preventative. It established your organization as the owner. The student cannot set an activation log.

You don't have to worry about your device being locked as long as it isn't jailbroken. If it is, you should probably update with the next version of the jailbreak software from where you got it from. Otherwise, the update should not lock out your device as long as you let it update without any interruption (ie you don't unplug it while updating).

I'm assuming that you mean you cannot see the contents of an email message when you tap on it. I've had this happen occasionally. To fix it I quit Mail.
Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the Mail app until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart the app and see if it works normally.

Try going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. You are on Windows 2000, you do not have a "Firefox" button, and should consider yourself to be fortunate in that you still have menus and don't have to do anything to get the menus back instead of the "Firefox" button. (The same applies to Windows XP users).
Use the "File" menu to get to Import. You are not on Windows 7 or Vista, and don't have to put up with the nonsense added for Aero.
If you want the "Firefox" button you can get it with View -> toolbars -> (uncheck) Menu Bar. The menu bar and the "Firefox" button were supposed to be mutually exclusive (which is impossible in some cases without being incompatible).

So my iPad was stolen (I know who did it, etc, Police know, whateves.) However, I hear that even though I put it in lost mode, put an activation key on it, and have activated the Find my Iphone, I know there are ways of erasing my iPad completely. So here's my question: If you go to iCloud or to your Apple Support where it lists the device registry for all devices you have, does that disappear the moment your iPad is erased? Or is there any clear indication of whether or not the thief cleared the device? Thanks!
