    how do you select an image in keynote? I am trying to reduces my image file size but when clicking on image to reduce it I seem to be selecting the mask and hence format/image does not provide me with an option to reduce the image

    Click and drag a corner handle to change the image size on screen.
    This does not alter the file size.

  • How do i rotate an image in keynote?

    Nevermind i figured it out =)

  • How do you add multiple images in Keynote with the same slide formatting?

    I want to add 100+ images into Keynote for a photo slideshow, and I want all of the images to be preformatted using the frame/border style I set up in one of the  master slides...I don't want the images to fill the entire slide, and the goal is to not have to touch every slide and every image.  I know I can add images individually using the media button on the photo placeholder and the photo will fill the frame I have created, but I want to do this for all images at one time.  Is there a way to do this when adding the images into the presentation, or a way to format them all at once after adding them to the presentation.  Someone please help, I have looked everywhere and have had no luck finding an answer!!!  I accidentally made this happen last week when I was playing around but I don't know what I did and I can't seem to duplicate the results.  I feel certain there has to be a fairly simply solution, something I am missing.  I am working in the most recent version of Keynote (ver 6) and on Maverick OS.

    tspencer74, I have exactly the same problem and it's driving me nuts! I'm heartened that you managed to actually do this even by accident as I've not managed to make it happen at all in spite of much fiddling. So, the big question, did you find the answer? If so can you tell me what it is please?

  • How do i lock an image or keep it private?

    Hi,
    I recently received an email with an Image i must keep private, is there a way, either using mail or iphoto to lock the image, possibly requiring a password to view it

    Wil F
    There's no way in iPhoto to do this.
    Put it on an encrypted dmg. Or check out one of the utilities for locking folders on MacUpdate

  • How can I cut an image in keynotes?

    I would like to cut off some mm on one side of an image I use in keynotes. How does that work? Thanks for your help.

    Keynote works with pixels not millimeters and therefore masking is done visually.
    Use the mask tool button on the tool bar  (shift command M) to define the area for the mask then press the enter key.

  • How do I lock an image in place?

    I'm building a webpage in iWeb and I want one image to always appear at the top left of the page, flush against the edge. How do I do this?

    An IMG is wrapped in some DIVs.
    Find the image and change the style that's already there. Here's a sample style:
    <div style="position: relative; width: 144px; ">
    <img src="Voorbladfiles/shapeimage1.jpg" alt=""
    style="height: 108px; left: 0px; position: absolute; top: 0px; width: 144px; ">
    </div>
    In the style of the image, not the div, change position to fixed. Thus:
    <div style="position: relative; width: 144px; ">
    <img src="Voorbladfiles/shapeimage1.jpg" alt=""
    style="height: 108px; left: 0px; position: fixed; top: 0px; width: 144px; ">
    </div>
    I did not check it extensively but it should work as described.

  • How to copy and paste images from Internet to keynote on iPad?

    I want to make presentations on the go using Internet images and keynote. How can I get images from websites copied into my photo album, as that seems to be the only way you can add a image in keynote. Is there legal problems involved in it? Because I can do it no problem using my desktop etc.
    Thanks,
    Dave

    Click and drag is your friend!
    This thread probably belongs in the safari area, but anyway:
    If you click and hold, there should be a cursor that appears with a file. Then, simply drag it to your desktop where the file will appear.
    Or:
    Right-click (control-click) the picture and there should be a 'save image' or 'save image as' option. Select that, then save it!
    Afterwards, simply find the file in your screen saver options in system preferences, and then select it.
    Good Luck!

  • How to get back default Lock Screen Image of Windows 8.1

    I recently upgraded windows 8 to Windows 8.1, but it reset my custom lock screen image .  I tried for default lock screen of windows 8.1.I can't find any default lock screen
    images of windows 8.1 (Only custom images are available). How to get default lock screen images? Does any any one know? please help me..

    The last "solution" works only for pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete and clicking
    Lock. If you sign out of Windows and sign back in, that ghastly Windows 8.1 lock screen picture will come back.
    You can delete the img100.png file from your WinSxS folder: right lick on this file, click Properties, click the Security tab, click Edit, click Add, type your Windows user name in the white rectangle under "Enter the object
    name to select", click Check Names, click OK, then click Advanced, click Change, take ownership of the file, give yourself Full control over this file, click Apply and then OK. You may see your name three times in the Security tab (as user, administrator,
    and yourself). Make sure that each instance has full Control
    If this does not work, you can disable the Lock Screen: press Windows+R, type
    gpedit.msc, click OK, in the Local Group Policy Editor window that opens click on Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > Personalization, right click on the "Do not display the lock screen" option, click
    Edit, check Enabled, then click Apply and OK.
    This, however, is a workaround rather than a real solution, which, it seems, Microsoft does not have.
    I have exactly the same issue with the horrid stripey thing. Furthermore, in Settings, Lock Screen Preview is completely blank both on current and past images.
    I've tried all the tips I've found around the web with no success. I get the horrid stripey thing back.
    I found this freeware called Lock Screen Customizer. Seems to work so far but time will tell. (Note that the download includes both win8 and win8.1 versions.)

    Keynote is an screen based presentation application
    Pages is a page layout application for print output
    Coverflow is a viewing option of the finder to look at the contents of a folder
    To create a slideshow of your images, open Keynote and drag and drop images from a folder into the Navigator pane then press the play button
    The Navigator panel is the side panel on the left

  • "text wrap image" in Keynote 5.0.3

    I used the subject line (without quotations) to search for an answer in both Keynote and Pages forums, but found nothing relevant.
    Surely I can place an image into Keynote 09 and be able to wrap/ flow the text around it. Hadn't I done this in the past? I'm not able to find it today- looked in the inspectors (there is no "wrap" inspector tab, all the menus, read the user guide (it doesn't even have the word wrap in it), and it's looking like I can't wrap/ flow text around an image.
    I have to admit I'm surprised by that.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially if you tell me it can be done and how to do it. ::grin::
    Thanks. Joel.

    Sorry to go off-topic, but I just wanted to explain why the “if you have to wrap, it’s too much text” is a good rule, but like most rules, there are many instances where that rule can +and should+ be broken.
    Most of the presentations I make are to public boards (public utility governing boards, county boards of supervisors, regulatory agency boards, etc.). Before the meeting, I submit my Keynote presentation, which is included in the agenda and ultimately becomes part of the permanent public record.
    I could make a fabulous speech with an amazing, very simple Keynote presentation that supports my speech, but the decisions typically don't get made in the meetings. They get made based on the recommendations of staff members who use my Keynote presentation as a reference because they weren't at the meeting to hear my riveting speech.
    In these cases, the Keynote presentation isn't a visual aid for my speech. The speech is an audio aid for the Keynote presentation. Succinct and well-written text organized logically with easy-to-understand graphics wins staff over to my position. Three words and a graphic on a slide that don't make sense without the accompanying speech accomplish nothing.
    Anyway, *as you said*, there are exceptions to every rule and your point is a good one. I see all too often presentations where the speaker stands in front of the group and just reads his PowerPoint presentation word for word (the people who do this are inevitably using PP, not Keynote, of course )
    The most important thing is to consider the purpose of your presentation, whom it will be presented to, and how it will be used. Anyone who is doing presentations professionally should understand this rule (and others), and the reason behind it. And at that point, you can make an informed decision about whether or not the rule is appropriate to your specific situation.

  • Easy way to replace images in keynote without losing formating?

    I have a keynote document that contains a large number of images which have been formated in various ways using the tools in keynote (resizing, masking, builds, etc.). When I noticed that the presentation was performing rather slows (locking up, delayed response, etc.), I took a closer look at the image files and discovered that they were 600 dpi. I changed the resolution of the files down to 72dpi in photoshop and replaced the original image with this new lower resolution version. The performance and that slide was greatly improved. However, I now have over 100 images that need the same treatment. I can pull the image file out of keynote fairly easily by dragging the file icon from the file info box of the the metrics tab of the inspector window into a finder folder. BUT, here is the question: is there a way to quickly and easily replace the original 600dpi images in keynote with the new ones that I have scaled down to 72 dpi in photoshop? As far as I can tell, I cannot simply drag the new image (or copy/paste) into the file info box of the metrics pane in the inspector window. Any suggestions???

    If the scaling between the 600 DPI and 72 DPI versions of the images are different, then there likely isn't any way to do a bulk change. If, on the other hand, you just need to replace the images themselves, but the same effects are applied (e.g., same scaling, masking, etc.), then you may be able to batch replace them by tinkering with the presentation package. All Keynote presentation are actually "packages", collections of files that appear to the Finder as a single file. If you select the presentation icon while holding down the Control key, then choose "Show Package Contents" from the popup menu, you'll see the files inside the presentation. These files will include the original image files. If you name your 72 DPI files exactly the same as their 600 DPI versions, and replace the old versions with the newer, smaller versions, Keynote should use those new images exactly as it did the old ones.
    If you have done a bunch of transformations on the images in Keynote, I'm a bit dubious that this will work, but it may be worth a shot.

    How do I lock an archive with a code?

    You can't. All you can do is create an encrypted disk image, mount it, and copy the archive to it.

  • How do I have an image move with a text box?

    I need to embed an image within a text box so that when I add additional text in the future, the image moves with the text that surrounds it.
    For example, if I have a paragraph of text, then on the following line vertically I have an image, then on the following line another paragraph of text ... When I add additional paragraphs of text above the image, how can I have the image track down to stay between the original two paragraphs of text?

    Thanks Zak!  I figured that out but now have another problem that I just posted. The app keeps locking up when I try to export HTML or upload my site to the server. Please give me any advise on how to handle it.
    Here's my other post:
    Hi,
    I just upgraded to the latest version of Muse. I made a few changes to my site and I'm trying to export the HTML. I've now tried 3 times and the app locks up at 89%. It completes all pages, but locks up there. When I look into the Muse Export folder, there is nothing there. The window reads "Finishing export" but it stays at that point for more than an hour when I finally give up and force quit.
    Any ideas? Anyone else having this issue? Any ideas on how to get my HTML exported successfully?
    Thanks in advance for any help!

    Just an update. Previously I was attempting to export HTML to the Muse Export folder on my computer. I described what happened above. Now, I'm trying to publish directly to my FTP site. Its doing basically the same behavior where it exports all desktop pages (189 of them) then it locks up. However, the interesting thing is that when exporting to the Muse Export folder on my computer this said it was 89% complete. When uploading to my server, it says its 59% computer when all pages have been exported. Both options result in the app locking up and never completing the export. I did check my site online to see if the pages were really updated. I made a change to the nav bar on the master so I should see that on every page. It is not showing up online yet even though the app says all 189 pages have been exported. Still looking for help, all advice and ideas will be appreciated! I do want to get my updates online.
