How do I log out of icloud on my iphone when my password or email recovery address doesn't work?

I switched my email address to a more current gmail one (which works as my apple id) from an old hotmail one. It switched my apple id over, but it didn't switch my icloud email over. Now the hotmail account is gone, the old password doesn't work, and I can't log in to icloud with my current gmail one. I can't delete it becuase the password doesn't work. I can't even wipe my phone out and start with whole new accounts because I can't turn off 'find my iphone'!

What it says is that Photostream photos will be deleted on your phone & any documents stored on the phone will be deleted...that's the way it works. If you want these photos, you need to save them first. For contacts, calendars, etc., you'll be asked if you want to keep on the phone or not.

You need to return it to the seller and get your money back.  You cannot reset or use the device with another AppleID installed unless you know the password for that ID.
If the device has been jailbroken, no one on here can give you any further help...the Terms of Use prohibit us from doing so.

  • Hi ! I got an iPhone 5 from someone who I don't know the real owner. Then I wanna change iCloud on it, but I don't know the password of owner. How can I log out that iCloud account without password ? Please help me, thank you

Thank you, please help me !

How can I log out that iCloud account without password ?
    You can't.
Return the phone to whoever you bought it from and get a refund. Without the previous owners password you will not be able to enter your own iCloud acount, and when you update the phone, you won't be able to re-activate it as it will be locked to the previous owners account.
You should've checked the phone was not locked to someone else's iCloud account BEFORE buying it.

  • How do i log out off the app store as it has the wrong email and I can't do my updates as i don't know the password

How do i log out off the app store as it has the wrong email and I can't do my updates as i don't know the password

Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store, tap on the Apple ID, and choose 'Sign Out'.
However, logging out of the iTunes & App Store won't change the Apple ID you need to use to update an app.  It only affects what Apple ID you're using to download a new app.
Apps always have to be updated using the Apple ID that was used to download it originally.  Go to iforgot.apple.com to reset that password.  If you cannot do so, then contact Apple Account Security, or delete the app and redownload it using an Apple ID and Password that you know.

  • HT204053 How can i log out of icloud on an ipod touch?

How can i log off of icloud on my ipod without deleting any data from my icloud account?

Go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account.  This only deletes the account and your synced data from your device, not from your iCloud account.  When you sign back in, your data will be synced back to your device.
But before deleting the account, save your photo stream photos to your camera roll by opening your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.

  • How can I log out of iCloud on my iPad Air?

I recently updated my Apple ID.  I was able to get that new ID to work with iTunes, on my iPhone 5, and with iCloud on my computer and on the web.
But my iPad Air is stuck on the old Apple ID and it will not let me change it.
I have synced the iPad Air with iTunes using the USB cable (even though the cable isn't necessary) and it syncs fine - but iTunes on my computer has the new Apple ID and the iPad Air still has the old one!  (So technically, it shouldn't sync or it should copy the new ID info over onto the iPad Air, right?)
When I go to iCloud on the iPad under Settings and click on Account, it pops up with the old Apple ID, but it is greyed out.  It will not accept the password.  It will not allow me to log out.  It will not allow me to change the Apple ID.  Is it pulling this from some other area?  iTunes on the iPad shows the correct Apple ID.
Can someone please tell me how I can fix this?
    Thanks!!

It won't let me.  And I have now discovered that this is also an issue on my iPhone.  I thought the phone was okay last night, but it's not.  I now cannot get to anything on the phone.
I haven't had time yet to try your second suggestion, but I will try it.  I don't use FaceTime, never have, so I don't know if that will work.  I do know that nothing is working with iCloud.
Okay, I was able to at least get back to my main screen on my phone.  I will try the second suggestion when I get to the office.

  • How do you log out of iclouds if your ipad id is diabled

I have been given a ipad from Evocca Collage to use with my studys unfortunatly the password they have set my IPad up with has been diabled and I have had to do a factory rest to my Ipad how do I restart my IPad if the password has been disabled. I cant sign in or out of iCloud on Ipad as I need to be able to activate the ipad to restart it.  Thanks for your help

If you are getting a message that the account is disabled (is that what you mean by 'password has been disabled' ?) then your college should be able to re-enable the account by answering its security questions or by requesting a reset email via http://iforgot.apple.com . If they can't do it via the questions or email then they can contact Support in your country, they should be able to reset the password : Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security.

  • How can i log out from icloud without losing any document?

I want to create a new icloud account, but first I need to delete the previous one without losing my documents.

On your mac, use Pages or whichever app is needed for the specific document and save it locally instead of in icloud.  Then disconnect your iOS device from the account.  You can later sync the document via itunes.

If you're signed into the iCloud account on a computer, meaning the iCloud website, simply select sign out.
If you mean something else, clearly explain what you are trying to accomplish.

You don't, just exit the application.
If you are planning on letting your children play with it wait 15 minutes before handing it to them and any purchases will require the password to be entered.
And go into Restrictions and turn inapp purchases off.

  • I created a new Apple ID for iCloud on my iPhone, but I can't seem to find a way to "sign out" or "log out" of that Apple ID (for iCloud) to sign in with another Apple ID. The only account login I could change was the Store. How do I "log out"

How do I "log out" or "sign out" of iCloud on my iPhone? There is an option to delete the account, but I just want to log off. I want to keep the account name for future use.

It looks like the article below has the information you are looking for.

    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2613
    Turn off iCloud completely
Depending on whether you want to stop using iCloud on all or only some devices, do one or more of the following:
On your iOS device’s Home screen, go to Settings > iCloud, then at the bottom of the screen, tap Delete Account.
Note:   If you delete your iCloud account, iCloud will no longer back up your iOS data. You can still back up your device in iTunes (for more information, open iTunes and choose iTunes > Help).
On your Mac, open iCloud preferences, then click Sign Out.
If your Mac has OS X v10.7.5 and you turn off iCloud, your calendar information and reminders aren’t stored locally in iCal. If you want to retain your calendar and reminder information, you need to back it up before turning off iCloud. For more information, see the Apple Support article iCloud: Calendar & reminder data removed from Calendar and Reminders or iCal when disabling iCloud Calendar.
On your Windows computer, open the iCloud Control Panel, then click Sign Out.
Note:   If you turned on automatic download of music, app, or book purchases (in iTunes preferences or in Settings on your iOS device), your iTunes purchases are still downloaded to your devices.
Set up iCloud on your devices

I was looking at the "Find my iPhone" app and I have a doubt regarding how it works for the macbook. In order to detect the location, the macbook should remain signed into iCloud. What if the person who has stolen my macbook logs out of iCloud.
It should work fine for iPhone/iPad because we can enable "Restrictions" to prevent the user from signing out of iCloud. Do we have simialr settings for the macbook?
    Thanks,

If it's not on the device list, it indicates that someone has gone to Find My iPhone on icloud.com and manually deleted it from the device list (as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfc0eeddd), and it has not gone back online since (which would cause it to reappear on the device list; Find My iPhone has been turned of in settings on the device; the iClolud account has been deleted from the device; or the entire devices has been erased and restored.
Unfortunately, there's no other way to track the phone other than through Find My iPhone.  You could call your carrier and see if they would blackliste it so at least the theif couldn't use it.
