How do I make a two color gradient?

I've been trying to create a two color gradient and I cannot find how to do so.

Make sure you have two SPOT swatches available, or else your gradient will contain 4 process colors. If you only want the two colors in the file, make sure you choose those colors in the gradient panel (in pull-down menu, choose swatches). Then your gradient will use only those two spot colors. Not at all. They need extensive adjustments long before that - they are scanned wrongly to begin with (double-sided must be scanned against a black background), have fingerprints and whatnot. Once you have them cleaned up, converting to CMYK and cleaning up the colors is anotehr matter. Could be as easy as blanking out the yellow and magenta channels, could entail additiojnal extensive work. in any case, it won#t probably be automatic.

Using the retouch tool, how do you make it change color? The old iPhoto one did, this one seems to be flesh-tone only, which is not how I need it to be. In old iPhoto, used the local color to blend, it was great.

I don't know which old version you're referring to but iPhoto 6's, 7's and 8's retouch tool works exactly the same as iPhoto 9's. The color of the enhance tool's area while applying is a light brown color but the retouch works on any color using the surrounding colors as a basis.

i want to put a background color have a linear effect, but im not sure how to do that. i want it so that it will fit the entire browser screen. i dont know a lot about backgrounds, i know that i can make a background color fill the entire browser and make a image repeat itself to fit the browser, but thats all i know.

WOW...this is exactly what i have been searching for over tha last 2 weeks but i finally found out how to do it perfectly.
I found the solution after analyzing a site i visited that had the effect i wanted.

Now all u need to do is create a sinlge strip of image....say 1000px wide by 10px high. On both exterior sides of this image place your linear colurs from outside inwards to cover say 100 or 150px....now do this exactly on the other side.....this will leave a central region with white colour.
Now name it bg,jpg.....use CSS to place it on your page....in my case;
body { margin : 0px;
background-color: #eeeeee;
background-image:
url(bg.jpg);
background-position: top center;
background-repeat: repeat-y
also change the background-color to one that nearly matches your linear img color.

I would ask the publication if they will convert art to CMYK. A lot of newspapers will offer an advertiser the 2C ad rate but will print in CMYK. In converting to process, you may or may not get drastic color shift. You'll want to use a CMYK build very close to the pantone color if the publication will print in CMYK.

How do I make a global color change in Flash CS5?

I am a rank Flash newbie, so maybe I'm missing something obvious. In InDesign or Illustrator, if I want to change every red object to blue, I can go into the color list, edit the red color to the blue values, and every instance of red in the document reflects the edit. I don't have to select each red element and pick the new blue for stroke and/or fill. I can't find how to do that in Flash, yet it's hard for me to believe that that capability is lacking. Help please!

How can I make get my color profile from HD 1-1-1 to 4:2:0 YUV?

I'm new to Final Cut Pro X, and I've been given specs for my video clips to have a color profile of 4:2:0 YUV. My video clips all load as HD 1-1-1, and I can't figure out how to change that. Can anyone help? The required video codec is H.264 or MPEG-2 or MPEG-4.

There is. Actually a few different ways of doing it. I would use Desaturate in PS, then examine each channel for the best grayscale representation. Select the channel you like the best and copy it. Then, delete all of the channels so they are all White ( still in CMYK mode ). Paste the channel you copied into the Black channel. Save it as a CMYK file. You could also do this by converting to Grayscale, Copy the Black channel, then converting again to CMYK and repeating the steps outlined above ( i.e., delete graphics in all channels and paste Black into the Black channel ).

I have a report with a chart on it.
The chart has on Item Condition on it to change the color of each bar to red if the value is under a certain value.
This value needs to be passed in as a parameter to the report.
The condition looks like this
if Avg PerformancePercent < 90 then bar color = red
The 90 in this condition needs to be set from a parameter P_PerformancePercent_Threshold.
I am producing the report in Visual Studio 2005 using CrystalReportViewer to display the report.
Since the value field seems to only take in numeric values I have assumed there is no way to use a parameter something like.
So I am looking at doing this through code.
The object model for the ChartObject does not have many properties/methods on it.
Is there any other way to achieve this?

Ok I want to have a human task that when submitted has to be approved by a Reviewer and a Manager.
If the Reviewer rejects the task, its truly rejected, but if the manager Rejects the task its sent back to the Reviewer for additonal work.
The built-in management chain operator doesn't support the reject path I've mentioned above. What's the best way to do what I'm trying to do?

That all depends on the drivers for that mouse. If it doesn't come with OS X drivers then you're stuck with the built-in OS X generic mouse preference pane or a third party driver.

One iMac, 2 users w/2 different Apple id's, how do I make this work?

I have an iMac. My dad has his own iCloud address and his own iTunes Apple id. I have my own seperate iCloud account with a seperate iTunes apple id. I made myself an administror on my dad's computer so that we have our own seperate log in "sides" of the computer. What I have realized while logging into my own iTunes on the computer to try and download my own purchased music is that the computer will not allow me to do so. Is this correct? I cannot have two different Apple id's on one computer?
My dad syncs one iPad and one iPhone.
I need to sync one iPad and one iPhone too... just not on my dad's iTunes account.
How do I make having two completely seperate users on this iMac?

Open Accounts preferences in System Preferences. Click on the lock icon and authenticate. Under the user list click on the Add [-] button button to create a new user account for yourself or your father (whoever is not the existing account owner.) Configure the account with a separate username and password.
Now each of you should have a separate account on the computer. You can each sync your iDevices into completely separate accounts using completely different Apple IDs.

If you are talking about the surrounding background of the photo while in Library Loupe View or in Develop, that you can select among 3 levels of gray, black or white in the Preferences / Interface settings.
