How do I make groups?
For example, like in the iTunes store, where you see collections like Led Zeppelin or Metallica, and those both have drop down menus where you can see the contents of the group. Is there any way to make these same little drop-down menus in your iTunes library?

Not natively in the built in contacts app. There are apps that will let you create contacts groups ... MailShot and another that I know of is called Group Email with Attachments.

Create them in the Address Book application on your Mac. They will sync to iCloud
If you want to create them in iCloud, log into iCloud.com on your Mac. They will sync back to your Mac Address Book. -

I'm not going to be of much use regarding answers but I sure am going to watching this post like a hawk for any replies. My package is a slightly diluted version of this and I do find the BBtalk and data limits hard to make the most of as well.
If nothing else this totally highlights how complicated BT have managed to make their packages.
A cynic would assume that they are trying to catch us out at every step and for us to either be overspending or not really getting the moneys worth. -

You don't need to use iCloud to create Groups.
Create them in the Address Book application on your Mac. They will sync to iCloud

It can't seriously be the case that I have to also sync with the Address Book app on the Mac just in order to be able to use that app to create contact groups because the iCloud service can't do it ?!?!

If you are syncing your contacts with Google, you'll have to create the contact groups on Google's website. If you are syncing them with iCloud, you can create contact groups on icloud.com from your computer, as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfba73c71.
The only way to create contact groups on your phone is to us an app such as Speed Names. -

Follow the below steps and you should be able to create the groups:
STEP-1
First, take backup of your iPhone in-case anything goes wrong.
Connect your iPhone withcomputer, right-click on your iPhone in the left panel and select “Back Up”
STEP-2
If you already have iPhone contacts in Windows you don’t need to do this step.
Connect your iPhone with computer and transfercontacts to Windows Contacts, see how to transfer SIM card contacts toiPhone also how to transfer iPhone contacts toWindows 7 / XP, Here / Here.
Now check contacts are available in Windowscontacts app, Press “Windows + R” keys form keyboard, type “wab” and hit OKbutton.
You will see all Contacts here.
STEP-3
Now start creating groups ofcontacts and add some contacts to each group.
Click on “New Contact Group” to add new group.
STEP-4
Type group namelike Coworkers and click on “Add to Contact Group” button to start adding groupmembers.
Select your coworkers’ contacts and click “Add”button.
Here you can see 4 members added to Coworkersgroup.
You can create more contactgroups like Family, Companies, etc. using same method.
STEP-5
Now Sync Windows contacts and groups with iPhone, close iTunes if its running already
Connect your iPhone with computer using data cableand run iTunes again
Click on your iPhone on left side panel under“Devices” section
Click “Info” tab, check “Sync Contact with” checkbox, select “Windows Contacts” option from drop down menu and click theSync/Apply button.
STEP-6
When iTunes finishedthe syncing process, open Contacts app in your iPhone and notice a new “Group”button is available here, tap it to view Groups. -
How can I make groups on my address book?
I have an iphone 5c. I am trying to make a group in my address book. I need to be able to send a message to a group but have the members of the group respond to me only. At this point, every message I send to them is getting read by them but then they send a response to the entire group. It's annoying when not all the members need to hear what is being said.
FYI - this is the Using iPhone > Mail discussions group.
At the Address Book menu bar, go to File > Export and select Address Book Archive.
Transfer the exported Address Book Archive file to your new Mac.
At the Address Book menu bar on your new Mac, go to File > Import and select the Address Book Archive file that was exported from your other Mac. -
How do i make groups work again?
I had a number of email GROUPS in the last version of the OS (Mt Lion I believe) & with MAVERICKS upgrade those email groups no longer can be copied to an email. This is a DISASTER! I have several groups of over 700, I'm NOT going to individually write in all those names! What am i doing wrong?
With Mavericks just type the group name on the line (names will not show). Or with mail closed right click on the group name in contacts and click send email. Mail will then open and names filled in. Or type in the group name and hit space bar, space bar, tab and all the names will appear.

Go ahead switch your sim card and go through the set up process on the other phone, if you're signed into icloud on the original phone, then it should transfer everything over. If not, then you need to sign into it and tell it everything you want it to keep.

Also you can clight the "+" button at the bottom of the "Group" column.
Once the group is created simply drag the desired contacts into it.
Lastly you can highlight multiple contacts and THEN click File>New Group from selection" and it will ask you to title it.

Put the addresses in the Bcc: field. (This stands for blind carbon copy.)
If you put the addresses in the TO: or CC: fields they will be visible to all the recipients.
Some email clients allow you to create a Group and use the single Group address instead of each individual address. However, you can't rely on this because some email systems break the Group into the component individual addresses during the send process. It's safer all around to put the addresses in the bcc: field in the first place (including group addresses).
