I have tried in safe mode and as expected it makes no difference. I am still not able to view in full screen like IE it just shows a blank white screen. I was able to view full screen with the same extensions before so removing them has not made any difference.

Mm, I did a search of Logic key commands, but I cannot find any command that closes floating windows, alt-W is not a default shortcut for anything... to what command exactly did you assign alt-W?

Not losing the other screen would be useful as I would like to, for example, monitor my emails whilst watching a video or to work on a project whilst watching an instructional video.
Note : Resizing a window to fill the screen is not acceptable as it still leaves unsightly borders.

Hi Pramod,
This FPM navigation is achieved using settings made in Launchapd Customizing ( LPD_CUST ).
a) Execute Tran LPD_CUST
b) Go to Role HAP - Double Click to open it.
c) Open the second folder on the LHS menu - there you will find 2 entries
d) Click on second entry - in the entry setting you can see that it is configured for WD Application - HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT
e) Click on button Show Advanced Parameters
f) There you will find a input box named as Window Features - here you can specify window features like
height=700,width=1100,position=center,menu=no,status=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,toolbar=no
save the settings come out and test ur app again.
change the height and width and other features as per ur req.

Adobe Camera Raw window-Only full screen?

I use Elements 7.0. In an attempt to improve my photography, I’ve been concentrating on getting as close to a proper exposure in camera using zone system etc. To further get close to the appropriate exposure after the shot is taken, I’ve begun to shoot in raw. I’ve bought a couple of books, videos etc. and I’m getting the basics down fairly well.
I have one basic question. I’ve searched help both in Elements and within this forum and I can’t find anything that addresses my question.
When I select a nef image (Nikon D90) in the Organizer and go to “Edit” and then “Full Edit”, the Adobe Camera Raw box opens up in full screen with the selected image displayed. No part of the desktop is displayed, including the taskbar.
Is there a way to open up ACR that is not full screen? I’m so new that I still need to refer to help to figure out what certain sliders do. I have a 25.5 diagonal monitor, so I have the screen real estate to have a fairly large ACR window while at the same time displaying a help screen.

Not sure if this will help, but on my ACR to the right of the Preview checkbox there is a window-double-arrow symbol that toggles full-screen mode in ACR so even if ACR started up in full-screen you could unmaximize it and then resize it somewhat smaller. I don't know how to start it up non-maximized in the scenario you describe because I don't use that scenario and my ACR starts up in whatever mode I last closed it, full-screen or not.

How to make netflix go full screen with multiscreen on chrome

i have not touched my netflix since i got mavericks installed because every time i fullscreen the video it never covers the screen entirely.
when i make my chrome window on my other monitor fullscreen there is always a small sliver that seems to be reserved for the IOS toolbar even though with flash and HTML5 video on youtube it envelopes the screen completly. i have no idea why it does this. my only solution i found was to make the individual tab in chrome go fullscreen which hides the searchbar like fullscreening hide's IOS' toolbar but unless i am doing somthing wrong i can barley make that happen on purpose as it always seems to be a graphical hiccup that happens on accident.
i heard of netflix switching to HTM5 which works wonderful on mavericks but i seem to be stuck with silverlight. i can easily remedy this by going out of multiscreen mode but it is a hassle as i must shut down everything i am doing to log out and log in again and while it will make netflix play fullscreen i will still get hit with the inconsistent youtube format that switches form HTML5 to flash at random which the fullscreen html5 will get rid of my main screen which defeats the purpose of dualscreen. so unless there is a way to make silverlight fill the entire screen or make mavericks accept HTML5 or even how to get chrome to fullscreen a single tab on command i am wasting $8 a month because of crappy hardware.
and while i heard netflix works bets on safari and firefox i cant use them because netflix never seems to remember my passwords for other browsers which forces me to change the password every time i want to login elsewhere which is also a hassle.

use the shift key in what way? as i click the fullscrene icon on chrome? as i hit the fullscreen button on netflix? or when i hit silverlight? or when i use it in conjunction with another hotkey you did not mention? please be more explicit and detailed in your solution.
i have had this problem since i got mavericks in October 2013 and have been looking for a solution myself for the past 4 months and have found nothing. maybe i was searching wrong or asking the wrong questions but i doubt i found nothing because i was the only one with the problem. i figured that more experienced mac users and chrome users would have faced the same problem and came up with a solution already using their ingenuity and hopefully would offer me their solutions if i asked directly.
since you responded within 3 minutes of me posting this question and as vague as your reply was you mention the solution requires the shift key in some way i was right in assuming i was not the only one with the problem and that others have found the solution already. no hours or days required to troubleshoot this alien and unheard of technical issue on my behalf since you have done that for yourself in the past 4 months and would only require 5-10 minutes in writing out 8-16 lines of text to explain the solution. possibly 24 lines if you write out the steps as a list.
i would not ask for help here if i found the solution myself but sadly i could not and have to turn to the community for guidance and cooperation in solving the problem, just like how humanity has solved every problem it faced and made the modern world the marvel it is today,though this sharing of information and labor that a social species such as humans would excel at.

How do you exit a game from full screen mode when the game has crashed?

There has seriously got to be a better way of exiting a crashed game than just turning the power off.
I sometimes play Sims 3 on my mac, and we all know that Sims 3 is the most poorly coded game out there, so it crashes a lot. I don't understand how you can get out of the full screen without switching the machine off the wrong way.
I have tried every single keyboard command people say to exit full screen mode, but they don't work when the game has crashed! In fact pressed every single button on the keyboard to try and exit, but nothing works.
On Windows it's so simple, you press the start button on the keyboard, but on a mac it doesnt work.
So any help to what i can do?

Windowed to Full-screen takes 3 attempts

I'm working on a program, and one of the features I want is to be able to toggle between Full-screen and Windowed modes. I've searched these forums (and google) and saw a lot of the bug issues with full-screen implementations were from JDK 1.4, but haven't found if those bugs still exist. I also haven't found anyone that's encountering quite the same problem I'm having, which is:
When changing the window (JFrame) from windowed mode to full-screen, it does a minimize-maximize loop 3 times before it finally goes full-screen.
I thought it might've been related to the many other parts of the code I had written to handle this (namely key events for global hotkeys), but in the following demo which is a watered-down version of what I'm doing, I still get the same problem. Only difference between this and the actual program is the actual program uses an input-action mapping instead of a button.

}I tried messing with the graphicsDevice.setDisplayMode method, but in examples I've seen, it made the whole screen go black and to the specified resolution of the supplied display mode. I'd rather keep the native resolution regardless of being in full-screen or windowed mode, and instead of having the setDisplayMode(origDisplayMode) in both the windowed and full-screen declarations, I just removed it (with no seemingly ill effects).
I also tried removing the setFullScreenWindow(this) and just resized the JFrame to the current resolution, removed the decorations, removed the ability to resize it, and set it at the upper left corner, and this was a step closer to what I wanted. There were no minimize-maximize incidents, however the start bar was still on top. Reading the javadoc said if fullscreen mode wasn't supported that it would simulate it (which could be the case as the computer I'm testing it on has integrated graphics).

Two Second Skip Switching Between Windowed and Full Screen Modes During Playback YouTube videos

I am finding that every video I watch skips two seconds every time I switch back and forth from Full Screen mode. Happens mostly with 720p videos in YouTube.
Can be replicated by pausing the video (also possible during playback, pausing it was just to determine how long the skip is), switching to Full Screen and back, noticing the two second change on the timer.
Main operating environment is Opera browser on Windows 7 (x86), Flash ver. 11.1.102.55 and 12beta. I have also been able to replicate the problem on Internet Explorer ver. 9.0.8112.16421

I see about 30-80 MB memory usage increase while switching to fullscreen and it is falling back while switching back to normal mode.
I think the "freeing" of the memory is to agressive and produces such "lags."
@Adobe: This should be optimized with the next versions.
Update:
With the Plash Player plugin (Firefox Nightly/Opera Next) it is worse and with Active-X (IE9) it seems to be ok.

Unfortunately, there is no answer to this problem via this link. It may be that this is simply how the software actually works. It is a design fault in Adobe Photoshop Elements. It is possible to temporarily hide the dock within 'system preferences'. Oh well. Someone may know better.... I hope!
