How do I prevent privacy browsing and/ or prevent history from being deleted from son's computer?

Note that removing or disabling "Private Browsing" will not make it impossible to delete private data like visited websites (history) or cache.
There are a lot of ways to clear such data, either via [[Clear Recent History]] or directly by deleting the History in the Library or sidebar.
Private Browsing makes it easier because all data is kept in memory and nothing is saved to disk, so nothing needs to be removed.
If you want to see which sites have been visited then you should look at others means outside Firefox like a router or firewall with a password protected logging feature that can't be bypassed or a program like [http://www.wireshark.org/download.html Wireshark].

I supervise the macs for a club and our policy is no nudity (porno,) lately we have been having a lot of trouble with that and in trying to track the culprits, they have started deleting the history. how can I prevent them viewing porno and /or prevent them from erasing the history? this has become a huge issue, we even have one person who has ended up in jail because of this.

You can't really prevent people from erasing the history. You will have to install a router with a (password protected) logging feature and reroute all computers through that router.
You posted with a Firefox 2.0.0.20 version, so I assume that the computer run an older Mac OS X 10.3.9 or earlier version. 
Are all computers old Macs that still have a Mac OS X 10.3.x or lower?

How do I stop history from being deleted after 90 days?

I've noticed recently that my history keeps on getting removed after 90 days, the default setting. So, right now, my history only goes back to October 2011, when just yesterday it went back to September 2011. I have not deleted anything, it's done it itself. My privacy settings are set to simply 'Remember history' which I assumed would be indefinitely. I looked in the about:config and it told me that in a previous version of Firefox the "Keep history for n amount of days" setting, which doesn't show up on this version (9.0.1) was set to 9999, just as I left it. For some reason however, this does not seem to work anymore, and I'm losing more history everyday. Is there a place where everything is stored on the hard drive which I can just save for now until this is solved, or do I have to start saving things manually elsewhere other than on Firefox.

There is no time limit in Firefox 4+ versions for the history. 
Firefox determines automatically how many pages can be kept without affecting the performance. 
You can see the current value via the reads-only pref places.history.expiration.transient_max_pages on the about:config page. 
You can reset the no longer used browser.history_expire_days* prefs from older Firefox versions to remove them on the next start.

If you lose history after 90 days then it has been removed via other means like cleanup software or by deleting the history unless you have exceeded that maximum page limit.

Hi, I would like to stop my internet history from being deleted. I had stopped it when i was on version 7 i think. But now I have version 11 my internet history is being deleted.
Its when you click on history then show all history and from there it is being deleted and I need it to stop. I have fox filter and I am watching what my boys look at. But i have a feeling they are still getting through it as I have noticed that the istory is being deleted and there are cookies that relate to porn on the computer!

First, the version of Firefox that you are running is very very out of date and thus insecure. Please go to [http://www.getfirefox.com www.getfirefox.com] to download the latest and best version.
Now, you want to make it impossible to have any history deleted from Firefox? I'm not sure that there is a way to prevent that in Firefox (I will look for an addon to do that however).
I would take a look at the various [[Parental controls|Parental controls]] that are available in Firefox and Windows Vista however. In this case, I think a good content filter will probably be your best course.

Once you're on a spammer's list, there's nothing you can do to stop the flood of e-mail messages. You can either control it, using spam filtering (which is what files those messages in the Junk Mail folder), or you can throw out your e-mail address and get a new one.
It's sad, but spam is simply a fact of life at this point, and there's nothing to be done about it. Legislation has been tried, with zero success, since most spam either comes from countries with no legislation or from personal computers that have been infected with malware and are part of a "botnet."

By using xcode we can prevent files from being backed up to icloud and itunes, but i want to know that what is the way to achieve this by using AIR. While creating an explicit app id from apple developer account , i am not enabling icloud support.

Within AIR you can set the File.preventBackup property to true on a directory or file to prohibit that content from being backed up to the cloud:

Background:
In options I have "check for updates, but let me choose whether to install them" ticked. This works fine, in that I periodically receive a notice of an available update, and it will ask me whether I want to I want to install it.
But there are certain times -- for reasons I won't go into here (unless requested as part of seeking a solution) -- where I want to manually check for new versions, but RETAIN the ability to decide whether or not to install it. But if I click Help/About Firefox/Check for Updates, and it finds an update, it will immediately proceed to install it without asking for permission. While that seems quite inconsistent with my update preferences in Options, it is apparently normal behavior as described in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version#w_how-do-i-manually-check-for-updates.
So is there any way I can manually check for new-update availability but then refuse the update if I so choose? Once an unwanted install begins, I'm concerned that if I click cancel I could end up with a partial installation or some "messed up," duplicated or corrupted FF files (e.g., multiple versions appended with (1), (2) etc, similar to what sometimes confusingly happens when I do an XP System Restore).

I think what needs to be made very clear here is that when a user clicks on "check for updates" the software should bloody well CHECK for updates and most certainly SHOULD NOT proceed to download and apply any updates. this is misleading and intrusive.
I just wanted to check if there was an updated version but I DID NOT want to actually update at that moment. the software downloaded data, costing me money and tried to apply the update which could have potentially messed up my settings if I had not checked everything was ok first.
I actually discovered how to prevent the update by searching through windows and manually deleting the files but why should anyone have to go to such lengths?
the software should simply do as it is asked, not do things that have most certainly not been asked.

Note: This is for Windows version of iTunes because this is the OS I'm running. Even with diferent OSes, the process should be similar enough.
1.Open iTunes
2.Connect your iPod
3.Highlight it in the source list
4.Go to Edit, then Preferences
5.Click on the iPod tab
6.Click on Automatically update selected playlists only
7.Click which playlists you want on your iPod
8.Switch to the Podcast tab
9.Select automatically update all podcasts
10.Click OK
11.Disconnect your iPod
12.Now, follow steps 1-7 with one of your daughter's iPods.
13.Now, switch to the Podcast tab
and select Do not update podcasts
14.Click OK
15.Disconnect the iPod.(Repeat Steps 12-15 with the other mini.
This should allow your iPod to update your songs and podcasts, and allow your daughters to update their songs and no podcasts.

Can I restore deleted history or keep history from being deleted?

My question pretty much summed it up. I would like to restore deleted history or at least see what was deleted, or keep history from being deleted altogether.

I do not like that firefox keeps harassing me to update it all the time. I Do not like that it has a private browsing feature and I want to know how to permanently get rid of this feature and never be bothered again by an update.

HDV capture has always split clips in FCE, it's normal behaviour.
During capture FCE is actually changing the native MPEG 2 compressed footage to AIC ( Apple Intermediate Codec) So it can handle each frame on an individual basis. Makes it edit friendly.
DV could capture complete tapes in one clip.

Help! History is being cleared automatically...this is a new problem!

I have been running Firefox for a couple of years now, and never had any problems. I have not changed anything on my computer recently, but as of 2 days ago, my history is being cleared automatically.
I have gone to Tools and clicked on "Remember History" countless times (yes, I clicked "OK"), but when I go back to it....it has reverted back to "Use Custom....".
Don't know if this is related or not, but...also as of 2 days ago, I am not receiving e-mails from 2 very important places that I know of - etsy and paypal (for business). Who knows what other e-mails I am missing. Yes, I have made sure these are in my contact list, etc....
HELP! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

That is probably OK.
Firefox shows the "Use custom settings for history" setting as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made. 
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History". 
Never Remember History" means that Private Browsing is active and "Always use private browsing mode" gets a check mark.
Do you keep the history during a session?

Make sure that you do not use Clear Recent History to clear the Browsing History.

If you use cleanup software like CCleaner then check the settings for the Firefox application.

Please provide more specific information about the issue. What type of content source you tried creating via powershell?
Make sure you are using the approproate permission and search service application.

A better solution is if your email provider uses IMAP. IMAP sync email folders between multiple devices. Meaning any device will receive the email, all sent email can be seen on the devices. If you delete email from one device the email is deleted from all the other devices. Check with your email provider to see if they offer IMAP services.
If they do not your choices are to 1) configure email on the PC to keep Mail on the mail server or 2) change email providers to something like Gmail or Outlook.com (as examples). FWIW I use Cox IMAP email and fully sync email between a Win 8.1 Update 1 laptop, a Win 7 desktop, an iPad 4, an iPhone 4 and an iPhone 5S.
