How do I publish to another web address?
I've already set up a personal web page with iweb.
Now I want to set up a blog page, completely seperate from my personal web page, with a different web address.
Can this be done? How?

Yes. You can add a second site directly under your first site and then create your blog site. When you're ready to publish select the blog site icon and use the File->Publish to .Mac menu option. At the end of the publish and upload you'll be given a window showing the URL for that site. You an always reach that site by selecting it and using the File->Visit Published Site menu option.
I fine it easier to manage more than one site to separate the sites into their own individual files. I use iWebSites to manage multiple sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
If you have multiple sites in one domain file here's the workflow I used to split them into individual site files with iWebSites. Be sure to make a backup copy of your original Domain.sites files before starting the splitting process.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want. In your case, launch iWebSites and create the new site with it, name it what you want and the launch the new site in iWeb. You should use iWebSites to launch iWeb. That lets you be sure which site you're working on and eliminates any problems with file naming.

How do i publish to the web page?
i put lion server on my MB Pro. It's up. When I http to the IP address, I get the default web page. my question is how do I publish to this web site? I've tried FTP access and it doesn't look like that's supported. I tried opening the site with dreamweaver and no joy.
I'd like to just create a web page and publish it to the mac server but i don't know how.
i guess I could create a web page in iweb and publish it to the sites\default but I was wanting to do it from a remote location. is that doable?

cliffI suggest you upgrade to the latest iWeb version while copies are still availalbe: iLife '11 - Apple Store (U.S.). That's because it's now confirmed that iWeb and iDVD have been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.
On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. HOWEVER, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
◼ Password protection
◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
◼ MobileMe Gallery
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
I found that if I published my site to a folder on my hard drive and then uploaded with a 3rd party FTP client subscriptions to slideshows and the RSS feed were broken. If I published directly from iWeb to the FPT server those two features continued to work correctly.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. How to is described in this tutorial: #26 - How to Modify iWeb So Popup Slideshows Will Work After MobileMe is Discontinued.
In addition the iLife suite of applications offered on disc is now a discontinued product and the remaining supported iApps will only be available thru the App Store from now on.
HOWEVER, the iLife 11 boxed version that is still currently available at the online Apple Store (Store button at the top of the page) and those copies still on the shelves of retailers will include iWeb and iDVD.

I often want to store the address of a web address in more than one bookmark folder. Sometimes I know this when I first decide to save the address; other times I find I want to 'copy' an already stored bookmark in a second folder. I've struggled through the Firefox Help on bookmarks to uncover how to accomplish this -- but (as with so many online computer Help sections!) have been unable to find an answer to what is, obviously, a basic question!
You can copy a bookmark from one folder and paste it in another folder to have a copy in more than one folder.

When I go to enter my Apple ID ( to update an application ) there is another email address entered which is not mine. You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.

Please help me.iCloud does NOT allow you to host your web sites. You can continue to use iWeb but, you will need to find a 3rd party web host. I personally use IX Webhosting and have been happy with them for several years now.
Depending on the version of iWeb you are using you have a couple of publishing options:
iWeb '09 (3.0.4) you can publish to an FTP Server or a local folder. ( With the built in FTP in iWeb you will end up with an address like "www.YourDomain.com/sitename/Home.html )

How to access a aprticular staging web address?

I'm trying to access a particular address so I can view a staging web site (as opposed to our olive web site) in a browser from home...my boss has given me the 10 digit (ie, 11.11.111.111) address plus the www.ekekekek.com site...Now I need to know how to add this line to something so I can access this staging site in a browser.
He wrote the following..."(MAC Users need to modify their /etc/hosts file): Use a simple text editor to add the line and then save the file. This will direct requests to the "www.ekekekek.com" URL to the web server and allow access the staging web site."
So where do I find this /etc hosts file? And/or how do I do this? I'm mostly a designer NOT a techy.

/etc/hosts is the file you need to edit. However, you cannot normally see this in the Finder since the Finder hides the /etc/ directory by default.
The other issue is that even if you could see it, it's owned by root, so you wouldn't normally be able to edit it anyway.
Provided you're an admin on your system the easiest way is to open /Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app and run the command:

exactly as written (changing the IP address if you need to). This command uses sudo to elevate your privileges. You'll be asked to authenticate by typing in your password (which won't be visible), then it'll run the 'echo' command which simply prints whatever's within the quotes and appends it to the file /etc/hosts. -
I get start page but when I type in the search or another web address it doesn't do anything.

How do I delete an individual web address from the drop-down list of the address bar?

I used to do that with just Delete button in earlier version. Now nor Del, nor Shift\Ctr+Del do not working. Is this a bug?
Please don't tell me about history in menu. I won't go there every time I need to delete a broken url.Note that is this item has a star at the right then it is a bookmark and you would have to remove the bookmark to remove that item permanently.

You can use your domain ( old web address ) for the new site created in Muse.
If you are using Business Catalyst , then you can publish the site and the through domain settings add the domain to your site.
And if you are uploading the site to any external server then you can upload Muse file to root location where the domain is already added.
