How do I put a group of songs into one album? They copied separately into iTunes.

Generally, in iTunes, all you need to do is fill in an appropriate Album Artist to keep things together. For older iPods each track from the same album should have the same artist, or be marked as a compilation where appropriate. Locate your iTunes files

I recently recorded a few tracks from a CD album into my iPod Touch and each track shows up on my music screen as a separate album (all showing the same album cover art). How do I combine these tracks into one album/ help!

Usually, they all need to have the same exact tags for Album & Album Artist.
Or maybe the "Part of a Compilation" checkbox is giving problems.

I have tried to sort all the tracks into one album to listen to the complete CD without having to keep choosing every song individually while on the nano.I have tried everything, sorting it by album/album and artist and also renaming the artist feat. so and so... can somebody please help me with this issue. No, that's not what the Consolidate command is for. That command for getting all your track files into a single folder. To get all the tracks in an album to appear together, just Get Info on the tracks and make the album name all the same for each track. See:

Consolidate tracks into one album

I have the latest version of itunes and I ripped one of my cd's last night. It's a 2 disc album and it ripped disc 2 fine as one album, but disc one is all separate tracks.
I have selected all the tracks and clicked "get into", changed all the info to the same and it used to combine all the tracks into one album, but now for some reason it won't work. I have tried the "consolidate" option and that doesn't work either.
I don't particularly like the new itunes interface to be honest, it looks very cold and uninviting

Thanks for your reply. I was trying to do this last night, I updated to itunes 11 a few days ago. I turned on my laptop this morning and found there was another update, so I updated and now it works!
The album in question is a various artists one, so I change the album artist to various artists, so it preserves the artist name on each individual track.
I don't know about you, but when an album has more than one disc, I always re-number the tracks and combine them all into one complete album, it looks tidier that way, instead of having disc 1, disc 2 etc.
I guess I'll have to get used to the new interface of itunes, as long as it works properly that's all that matters I suppose.

Generally all you need to do is fill in an appropriate Album Artist. For a compilation use Various Artists and also set Part of a compilation to Yes on the Options tab of Get Info.

How to join two or more separate tracks into one track

I have a CD of music that I want to import. It is a study tool so all the tracks are parcelled up for easier examination- i.e. Beethoven's Symphony no. 5 in C Minor is not one long track, it is cut into 28 separate tracks ranging in time from 26 seconds 2:31 (minutes).
What I want to do is make all 28 tracks into one track so there is continuous play. I've tried the gapless album option. It didn't do the trick. Now I can just select continuous play button, but for things like 'party shuffle' it doesn't quite work - you end up with a 30 second blurb of a song.
Any suggestions?

Insert the CD.
Select the songs you want as one track then menu Advanced -> Join CD tracks, then import the CD.

How do I combine two groups of podcasts into one

I have a particular podcast that I have been listening to for a long time (This Week in Tech). I decided to archive all of the episodes and pull them off of my machine. However, I have noticed that the first 20 or so are not grouped with the remaining ones. In iTunes if I click on 'Podcasts' in sidebar, the first 20 or so TWIT podcasts show up as a podcast called 'The Best Article Ever' where as the remaining 170 show up as they should as 'this week in tech'.
I looked through all of the information in the 'get info' window and it does not contain the name 'The Best Article Ever'. However, if I 'Right-click' on one of the early podcasts, and select 'Show Description' instead of 'Get Info' then the resulting window shows up and indicates that the podcast name is 'The Best Article Ever'.
I can not find any way to change this information in the 'Show Description' window.
I am assuming that if I can, then the early podcasts will then be grouped with the newer ones.
Any help if appreciated,

I found out how to do what I wanted and I'm giving my steps in hopes that it might help someone else. I wanted to put several photos from a file onto a new blank image. This is what I did.
1. Create a blank page.    File/New/ Blank File.   Put in the size. I used 8x10.
2. Bring the photo you want to use into Elements as you always do. It will list along the top next to the blank sheet.
3. Choose SELECT (top of screen)/ Select All.
4. Choose Edit/Copy   or Command "C"
5. Click on the Blank File.   Chose Edit/Paste or Command "V"
6. Click on Image/ Transform or Command "T". There should be a dotted line around your pasted image. You can then move and adjust the image to how you want it. When finished, press the check-mark on lower right of photo.
7.   Repeat this with all the photos you want on the new blank file.
8. You will see on lower right of Elements, the background layer and as many layers as you have photos. These layers need to be permanently placed on the background layer. Go to Layers and press Merge Visible. This will merge all layers to the background.
9. Save as and you are done.

How do I put parts of multiple songs into one song?

I'm trying to make a mix of songs for my friends party and I was wondering how I could put parts of multiple songs together into one soundfile? If iTunes can't do this are their any other softwares that could do this? Thanks, appreciate it.

That is beyond the ability of iTunes, and requires the use of an audio editor.
A free one that many people like is Audacity.
After you do the editing in Audacity, you can export an MP3 and add it in to your iTunes library. The original files remain unchanged.

Combining tracks into one album, choosing track order

Hi, I've searched this forum and haven't been able to solve this yet.
I have a bunch of b-sides that I want to add to an album proper. Say the album has 12 tracks. I am able to add an additional song to the album, which increases the track count to 13 tracks. Only problem is, track number 13 is at the top of the list (album view), so the play order is 13,1,2,3 etc....
I have experimented with the "track number 13 of 13" option, and although the info tells me it is indeed the last track of the album, iTunes refuses to show it numerically in order.
How do I make it so these additional tracks play at the END of the album, and not the beginning, with the ultimate goal transferring the entire thing to my iPhone?

First off, in the Get info>Info pane, make sure that they all say disk 1 of 1, OR that there's nothing there at all. Also make sure that Artist and Album Artist match up.
Second, go to the sorting pane, and make sure that anything you've added matches what was there in the first 12 songs.
