User password.
An administrator can reset the passwords of other users.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Users & Groups, click the lock to unlock it and provide an administrator name and password, select a user, and then click Reset Password.

  • How do i reset the password for secure photo video by Easy to Use Apps?

I have recently upgraded to the newer versions of the free product and am no longer able to log in to the program.  I believe the new version moved from a simple 4-number password to a complex scheme.  However, I can't find any tutorial on how to change to the new system and there is no support for the company (I end up at some web domain sale site when clicking the line in iTunes Store)

If you haven't already done so then you can reset the password for your iTunes account via http://iforgot.apple.com, and after doing that log out of the account on your iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it. And similarly if using the account for iCloud then Settings > iCloud > Sign Out and then log back in
You say that you 'have a new account', if you have created a new iTunes account then all of your downloads from your old account will remain tied to your old account, so only that account can potentially redownload those purchases for free and/or download updates to its apps.

  • How do i reset the password for cisco DMM 5.1 hardware machine

    Dear All,
I have a cisco DMM 5.1 with some players installed on it, I can login to the dmm 5.1 via web browser but I cannot login the hardware directly through the console, I dont have the password for the console access, Could any one please help me resetting the password for the cisco DMM 5.1 physica server keeping the data and the configuration on the server intact.?
               Please help!!

    Dear Fahad,
If you have lost your "admin" account password, it can be recovered using the "pwadmin" account as documented at the following link:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/video/digital_media_systems/5_x/5_4/dms/aai/administration/guide/pwadmin.html#wp1079466
If you have lost your "pwadmin" password as well, you'll need to open a TAC case and get a "DMS 5.1 pwadmin reset" ISO image via TAC. You can then boot the appliance with the provided CD to reset the "pwadmin" password, then login as "pwadmin" and reset the "admin" password from there.
    Regards,
    Marco

I am thinking about purchasing a ChugPlug for my MacBook Pro. The suppliers, Lenmar tell me that it will work on any 13" MacBook Pro as long as it is a 45 or 60 watt MacBook.

  • TS1440 how do I reset my password on my macbook pro if I've forgotten my old password?

I have a relatively new (less than 6 months old) macbook pro.  Somehow the password got screwed up when I tried to reset it.  I can log into my macbook pro, but when I went to reset the password (so it would require it when I turned it on and after it went to sleep {I live in a house with 3 roommates and do this to avoid it being used as a public computer} as well as needing it to do updates or install new software)  I don't have the old password, so it won't let me set a new password.  I'm not super technical, but I can follow instructions.

  • Too many suggestions on resetting wifi password for my MacBook Pro!  How is it really done?

I'm trying to reset my wifi passwork on my MacBook Pro.  There are way too many suggestions on the internet.  I want to get the "real" way to do it so I don't make a mistake.  Thanks

    DELETED
Sorry. Read that as system password the first time. The wifi password needs to be reset in your router, then on your devices. How to do it depends on which router you have.
In the Airport Extreme, use Airport Utility to get into the router. Double click the base station then choose edit. Select the wireless tab. Enter the new password there.

  • HT3231 How do I change the password on a MacBook Pro that I bought secondhand??

My MacBook Pro keeps asking to update software, eg: Flash Player, and I can't install it because I don't have the User Password.
I bought the laptop secondhand from an Auction – the company that it belonged too has gone bust.
I also own an iMac 27" (2010) with all the relevant start-up disks, etc, and was wondering if I could use these to reboot my laptop

The first thing you should do after acquiring a used computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. How you do that depends on the model. Look it up on this page to see what version was originally installed.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard installation disc, which you can get from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the gray installation discs that came with it. If you don't have the discs, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, it should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime.
To boot from an optical disc, hold down the C key at the chime.
Once booted from the disc or in Internet Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive, which is what you should do.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
You should then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. If you want to upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, buy it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them.

  • How do I reset the PRAM of my MacBook Pro in OSX Mountain Lion?

Dear all, I bought a new MacBook Pro 13" (Mid 2012, MacBook Pro 9,2) and upgraded the OS to Mountain Lion. There have been some crashes (apparently related do Chrome), so I wanted to reset the PRAM to "clean up" a bit, but it didn't work. I made sure I followed the standard procedure (as in my old MacBook Pro 15" Late 2008, which was stolen), and held properly the CMD+OPT+P+R combination before getting the grey screen. Just to be sure, I tried shutting down and turning on again and also just restarting my Mac. Neither worked. What may be the problem? Thanks.

The fact that Apple saw fit to put out a ML-specific PRAM-reset note confirms that the key sequence is unchanged. Yet I've witnessed quite a few instances of people complaining that it did not work on that OS. Will try when I get on my testbench later tonight. But still seems odd to have such a recurrence of the same complaint.
