How do I restore default functionality to the Pan & Zoom tool?

When I select the Pan & Zoom tool, the image on the left is what I get - the green bars that used to appear are gone: http://imageshack.com/a/img540/240/b6b715.jpg
What step by step procedure do I need to follow to get those green bars to appear like they used to? The green bars disappear ONLY when I place a video in the timeline.  If I place a still photo in the timeline the green bars are there like they should be.

From your previous threads, it would appear that you are using Premiere Elements 12 Mac. Is that correct?
Is this a "it worked before but not now" or "it never worked before" type of issue?
I am strictly an Elements Windows user, and, when I select Tools Menu/Pan And Zoom, the project gets taken into the Pan and Zoom workspace that looks like
Is this what you are used to seeing when you used Tools Menu/Pan and Zoom Tool? I think that I lost you when
you wrote

After I click Done to the Pan and Zoom workspace, the project goes back to the Expert workspace and the panned and zoomed photo has no green marking(s) on it. The panned and zoomed photo that goes back to the Expert workspace does have an increased duration compared to the original Timeline photo.
Could you point out what the green bars are that you are referring to?
I have never seen a Premiere Elements 11 or 12 Pan and Zoom workspace that looked like your screenshot.
What were you doing in the program when this problem occurred?
I would suggest that you make sure that
1. You have updated the program from 12 to 12.1.
2. You have deleted the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file (Users/user name/Libraries/Application Support/Adobe/Premiere Elements/12.0)
3. If that does not work, then I would suggest a complete uninstall/reinstall of the program.
Is the Pan and Zoom Tool the only feature that is not working and/or displaying correctly?
We will be watching for your follow up.
Thank you.

  • Why can't the Pan & Zoom Tool start with the whole frame using photos

    I've used the pan and zoom animation in Microsoft Movie Maker - and want that same ease of use in any other program (I find it doesn't do a great job of soundtrack and text/image placement) see menu options below....   I Purchased Premiere Elements after watching a short video of the pan & zoom tool - however now that I am trying to use it it falls way short.
    Is there a way to allow me to select the whole photo as the starting frame -- in the screenshot below the frame 1 will not extend to the whole photo so I start off with a cropped image.  I want the full Frame of the photo and then be able to zoom and pan in toward faces - while I can still do this with the cropped frame I loose a good deal of my photo and the context it provides.
    The Microsoft Movie Maker options - very easy                        |              Limitation of Premiere Elements 13 to start with the full photo frame

    Hi,
    You might like to ask that question in the Premiere Elements forum
    Premiere Elements
    It looks to me as though the aspect ration of the photo and the video frame are different and therefore something has to be cropped off.
    But I could be wrong

    Some gestures have been removed in Firefox 4.
    You can restore the zoom feature by changing the values of the related prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page.
    browser.gesture.pinch.in -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReduce</b>
    browser.gesture.pinch.in.shift -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReset</b>
    browser.gesture.pinch.out -> <b>cmd_fullZoomEnlarge</b>
    browser.gesture.pinch.out.shift -> <b>cmd_fullZoomReset</b>
    browser.gesture.pinch.latched -> <b>false</b>
    To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
    If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />
    You can use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a pref more easily.

    Will resetting Firefox fix the problem (instead of creating a new places database)? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems
    According to this article, a reset will keep browsing history, which should allow me to access my lost tabs IF it will also fix my database problem.

  • How do I restore default view

    Question in title. I accidentally did something in iMovie '11 and it changed the view to what you see below:
    How can I restore it back to the default view?

    This is iMovie 10 (the latest), not iMovie '11 (=iMovie 9).
    The appearance is what you get if no project is active.  If you double click on a project icon or Select File - New Movie, the timeline should appear.

  • Since upgrading to CFB 3, I am unable to view "ColdFusion Documentation" (Help).  How do I restore this functionality?

    Since upgrading to CFB 3, I am unable to view "ColdFusion Documentation" (Help).  How do I restore this functionality?

    I found a workaround.
    Close Builder
    Navigate to:
    /Applications/ColdfusionBuilder3/plugins/com.adobe.coldfusion.help_3.0.0/toc.xml
    Copy it to
    tocOrig.xml
    Edit:
    /Applications/ColdfusionBuilder3/plugins/com.adobe.coldfusion.help_3.0.0/toc.xml
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><toc label="Adobe ColdFusion Documentation">
       <topic label="Configuring and Administering ColdFusion" href="docs/Configuring+and+Administering+ColdFusion.html"/>
       <topic label="CFML Reference" href="docs/Adobe+ColdFusion+CFML+Reference.html"/>
       <topic label="Developing Applications with ColdFusion" href="docs/Developing+Adobe+ColdFusion+Applications.html"/>
       <topic label="Installing And Using ColdFusion" href="docs/Installing+Adobe+ColdFusion.html"/>
    </toc>
    Change to:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><toc label="Adobe ColdFusion Documentation">
       <topic label="Configuring and Administering ColdFusion" href="docs/Configuring_and_Administering_ColdFusion.html"/>
       <topic label="CFML Reference" href="docs/Adobe_ColdFusion_Reference.html"/>
       <topic label="Developing Applications with ColdFusion" href="docs/Developing_Adobe_ColdFusion_Applications.html"/>
       <topic label="Installing And Using ColdFusion" href="docs/Installing_Adobe_ColdFusion.html"/>
    </toc>
    Next go to folder:
    /Applications/ColdfusionBuilder3/plugins/com.adobe.coldfusion.help_3.0.0/docs
    1.  Copy
    Adobe+Coldfusion+CFML_Reference.html
    and rename the copy to
    Adobe_Coldfusion_Reference.html
    2. Copy Configuring+and+Administering+ColdFusion.html
    and rename the copy to
    Configuring_and_Administering_ColdFusion.html
    3. Copy
    Developing+Adobe+ColdFusion+Applications.html
    and rename the copy to
    Developing_Adobe_ColdFusion_Applications.html
    4.  Copy
    Installing+Adobe+ColdFusion.html
    and rename the copy to
    Installing_Adobe_ColdFusion.html
    e.g.  I took the '+' out of the file name and inserted a '_'
    NOTE: this worked for all but
    Adobe+ColdFusion+CFML+Reference.html
    It did not work with:
    Adobe_ColdFusion_CFML_Reference.html
    but renaming it to this worked:
    Adobe_ColdFusion_Reference.html
    I don't know why.
    You must restart Builder for it to take effect.

  • HT201272 Having a bad day my iTunes library got corrupted and my back up disk has failed how can I restore my purchases from the iTunes store

    Having a bad day my iTunes library got corrupted and my back up disk has failed how can I restore my purchases from the iTunes store? When I try it tells me the pruchases have already been downloaded to this computer.

    Does your purchased rmusic appears under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) ? If they do and you don't have the cloud symbol against them so as to re-download them, then do you still have the entries for them in your library i.e. where you would normally click on them to play them ? If you do then try deleting them from there (iTunes will be seeing them and assuming that you still have them somewhere) and they should then get the cloud symbol for re-downloading in the Purchased link.
    If you aren't in a country where music can be re-downloaded then you could try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page,

  • Mac OS no longer available after trying to remove Windows on Bootcamp. How can I restore Mac OS without the Mac HDD in options?

    Mac OS no longer available after trying to remove Windows on Bootcamp. How can I restore Mac OS without the Mac HDD in options?
    So what I did was, I had bought my iMac from a shop and asked them to do bootcamp for me. However, they installed 32 bit instead of 64. My fault, I did not make my self clear about it. So after it has been delivered to my house, I realized that I wanted the 64 bit. I tried to remove windows on bootcamp but honestly, I have not experienced this before. So I failed. I believe, I did something wrong.
    So I opened the iMac and it keeps asking me to go to windows. Windows OS also corrupted.
    I tried the Option Key but the only option is Windows 7 only. So using a different keyboard, I press option and it only shows Windows HDD and the Mac HDD has gone.
    What am I going to do? How can I restore Mac OS without the HDD anymore?

    iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2)   < your profile
    Try using Lion Recovery

  • How do I restore default preferences with Illustrator CS6 in Mac with Mavericks (10.9.2)?

    In Library/Preferences I don't have the Adobe Illustrator Settings.
    I tried the Find command to search for Illustrator Prefs, but can't see it.
    If I were to find it, the Illustrator CS6 Classroom in a Book tells me to copy the file and save it to another folder in the hard disk? This I don't understand.
    Thanks!

    PA,
    When you mean start up is opening Illustrator, right?
    Right.
    The quick and easy way to restore default preferences is the Cmd+Option+Shift.
    If you have customized your preference settings and wish to be able to get them back, you can use the Move the folder way which will save them so you can move them back and thereby regain your customized settings.
    For your present use, Cmd+Option+Shift is the obvious choice.
