How do I restore Email inbox function?

For the past week, my Ipad2 has not been displaying inbox Yahoo messages but shows spinning circle "checking for mail". I can view messages in other mailboxes but inbox continues to freeze at "downloading 1 of 18". I rebooted but find no other way to change inbox settings. I have full email access on my HP laptop in Windows so I can contact you. Help!

One of those messages in your inbox has something wrong with it. Either too big, or some attachment that the pad cannot deal with. Suggest you go thru the inbox on your pc, looking for a mesage that looks wrong, and get it out of there. Then, reboot the pad and try again. You may end up needing to delete, then reinstall the mail account, but if the bad message is still there, it will just happen again.

Hey everyone,
I am in the middle of a project but i seem to have come to a roadblock. I am in need of a way to create an email inbox in flex, but I am fresh out of ideas of how to do this, and I can't seem to find any documentation about how to do this. Do any of you have ideas or know of a source to learn how to do this? All help is greatly appreciated!

Mainly I am struggling with how to even start. I figured I would use a dataGrid to display the emails, but how to retrieve and update them I do not know. I am currently using Augie Marcellos email script to send the email, but would change it based on the inbox settings to use my mail server. Any ideas?

Command-R to the rescue.
Just hold down Command-R during startup and Lion Recovery springs into action. It lets you choose from common utilities: You can run Disk Utility to check or repair your hard drive, erase your hard drive and reinstall a fresh copy of Lion, or restore your Mac from a Time Machine backup. You can even use Safari to get help from Apple Support online. And if Lion Recovery encounters problems, it will automatically connect to Apple over the Internet.
When boot into Recovery and select item 1, you will be given a choice of a point to recover from.

How do I make email inbox disappear when i rotate to portrait

My email inbox does not dissapear when I rotate my ipad to portrait. Is there a setting that I've not checked?

In portrait mode, you can make the inbox disappear either by swiping to the left on the open email or by tapping on the Inbox button.

How do I restore emails on iCloud?

I have a Mac Air (main compuiter), a MacBook Pro (which I am phasing out), and an iPhone 4, all running the latest available software. I have an iCloud account. I used to have a mobile.me account.
I have had a dot mac mail account for ages. Then I got a mobile.me account. When icloud came out, I got an iCloud account. Accordingly, my emailk addresses proliferated. Multiple addresses and accounts were obviously unnecessary and confusing. I manged to eliminate the mobile.me account, and all my email files were placed successfully on iCloud. The mobile.me account no longer showed up on the Mac Air or on the iPhone. Mail and files were current (either "On my Mac" or on "iCloud." Then I made a miserable mistake.
On my old Mac Pro computer, the mobile.me account still showed. In an effort to "decommission" that computer, I made the mistake of deleting all the mobile.me files. My files disappeared everywhere: on iCLoud, on my Mac Air, and on my iPhone! I was able to enter my Time Capsule backup and restore the files to my Mac Air, my main computer, but I can not figure out how to restore these files to my iCloud account! Or on the iPhone.
Also, since the trasnfer from the Time Capsule, when accessing the Time Capasule through th top menu icon, I am unable to access ANY email backup any longer!! Where are they, and how do I reach them?

I use outlook express ( pop3 ) as my default email program and created many inbox subfolders on my desktop. How do I get iPad to see the inbox subfolders.

You can't - not with a POP account and not with any mailboxes stored on your computer's hard drive.
This is possible with an IMAP account with server stored mailboxes. All server stored mailboxes with an IMAP will be available automatically when accessing the account with the iPad's mail app along with all server stored mailboxes kept synchronized with the server with each email client used to access the account.
None of this is possible with a POP account.

How can I restore email address-expired MobileMe

I used to have a MobileMe account and an email address I preferred. I let the account expire maybe 6-8 months ago on rumors of a free service. Now that iCloud is here I would like to use that email address again.
When I try to establish the address on iPhone's iCloud settings, it says address is already in use. I suspect, but do not know for sure, that is my old address being held back since when I try to send test message to that address the server rejects it as invalid address.
If it really is my old address is there a way to set it up for my use again?

The auto-complete in Mail addresses comes from two sources: (1) The "Previous Recipients" list, which can be viewed via Mail > Window > Previous Recipients. (2) Your Address Book (now called "Contacts").
If you did in fact lose your Address Book - are you sure you don't have "Contacts" in your Applications Folder? - It sounds like you are getting addresses from source (1). If you did in fact lose your Address Book (now called "Contacts" !!), you will have to restore it from a backup.

How to stop full email inbox downloading

Hi,
I have just set up my email account on the Mail app - is it possible to use this app without having your full inbox downloaded onto your Mac?
As I seem to have around 35k emails downloading now from my Yahoo account even though in preferences I have it set to 'don't keep copies of messages'.
I would like it to work in a similar way to on my iPhone, where only the most recent emails are saved, if possible.

The function of the F keys at the top of my keyboard no longer work as they used to. The actions they do no longer correspond to the symbols that are printed on them. For example, the volume buttons no longer control volume and now change the display to full-screen instead, and the brightness buttons don't do anything at all.
This started today and I'm finding it very irritating. I checked in System Preferences and didn't find any obvious way to turn most of them back to what they used to do.
Help?

In System Preferences > Keyboard uncheck Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys.

How can I restore the Mail function on my iPhone 5c?

In the past week, the Mail function on my iPhone 5c has gone completely blank. I had the Mail settings set to get mail from two Gmail accounts. In the few months that I've had the phone, I never had a problem with the Mail function. However, one day last week, the screen just went blank and has been blank every time I open the app. This is the native Mail function/app. I have tried deleting both accounts and re-adding them. That did not work. I tried resetting the phone to factory settings and that did not work either. Does anyone have any ideas?

How do I restore email settings with Time Machine and Mountain Lion?

Like so many others, I have tried to follow suggestions of going to Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist.
It does not exist. and it does not show up in any search. Here is a shot of my Finder... it's not there in Preferences.

to make your user library visible, in Finder hold down the option/alt key while selecting the Go menu item. Select Library.
If you want to make your user library permanently visible, run the below command in Applications/Terminal.
chflags nohidden ~/Library/

Cannot transfer email in Email inbox

Hi Gurus,
We are implementing « client side groupware » with outlook 2007 and experiencing at the same time some issues with the Email inbox functionality.
Description of the problem :
In order to transfer email from u201Coutlooku201D to CRM a folder u201C sap crm email Transferu201D has to be created.
This is automatically done in :
Personalize > groupware integration > set up email transfer
Once the login and password entered Iu2019m able to connect correctly to the CRM .
The issue is that the folder created (SAP CRM Email Transfer) does not display any of the transferred emails. The element counter indicates that there are email present in the folder.
I cannot select a mail and transfer it to the CRM

I've deleted the previous created folder and created it once again but that did not solved the issue.
I can access to the transfer button but cannot transfer the mails as they are not visible.
