How do I retrieve lost serial number for Lightroom 5, was not registered on Adobe, just have the number on inside box of Lightroom
Will it be possible to retrieve a Lightroom 5 serial number if you lost it and was not registered on Adobe? But I have the number on the inside box of Lightroom 5 only?
Refer to this webpage for the locations of various LR files, paying attention to the one that says Serial Number:
http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/preference-file-locations-lightroom-41.html
Go to the folder it says, and open the .lrreg file with a text editor, like Notepad or Wordpad, and look for the serial number that will be 6 groups of 4 digits beginning with 1160. Don’t post the serial-number here, of course, as this is a public forum.
If you have had more than one LR version on your computer, e.g. LR3 or LR4, there may be more than one serial number to determine, as you’ll need an older serial-number if your LR5 one is an upgrade.

How can I download Micosoft Office 2008 for Mac on my new Macbook Air? I have the DVD and product key
Welcome to Apple Support Communities
You have two options:
1. If you have another Mac or PC, use Remote Disc to install it on your Mac > http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5287
2. Buy an external optical drive and use it to install Microsoft Office.
Both options work correctly. If you are going to use the optical drive once, use Remote Disc, but it will be much slower than using an optical drive connected to the computer -
I have just upgraded to Mountain Lion and my signatures for my Mail are not showing up. I have the signatures inthe preference panes and selected for the email address, but when I make a new message, the signature shows as none and doesn't give me a choice. Yesterday, the signatures were stacking instead of switching to the one I wanted to choose.
I had this and fixed it.
I had upgraded to Mountain Lion and my signatures in Mail were fine. But then about a week later, I got a new computer and used Migration Assistant to copy my stuff to the new machine. Upon opening Mail, I had all the correct Signature information in the Preferences>Signatures window, but nothing worked.
After lots of hunting, I found the Signature Folder. It's in:
Yourusername>Library>Mail>V2>MailData>Signatures
Looking at my previous setup (which works) I saw in that folder two types of files: .webarchive and .siganture
Looking in my new machine's Signature folder, I saw only the .webarchive folders, not the .signature folders
Since this was literally a clone of my previous setup to a new machine, here's what I did:
1. Quit Mail
2. In Problem machine, go to
Yourusername>Library>Mail>V2>MailData>Signatures
3. Move the Signatures folder someplace safe, but out of the MailData folder
4. Get the Signatures Folder from the working install (like a backup) and copy it to the MailData folder on the problematic machine
5. Start Mail on the problem machine
This worked for me. I don't know why Migration Assistant didn't copy the full signature folder, but this fixed it. It worked perfectly partly because I had just backed up with Carbon Copy Cloner and the very next day set up the new machine. I don't know where Lion or earlier versions of mail stored signatures, but the absence of the .signature filetype seems to be the problem.
Hope this helps -
A few months ago i was in the same position, having to re-install Creative Suite on a new laptop. For some reason it was very easy, but I can't remember how it was done. I don't want to have to contact my institution for proof of status again, and wait several days to get a response. I am on a deadline for something before then. Any advice gratefully received.
then record your serial number.
if you registered with adobe, log into your account, https://www.adobe.com/account.html
if it's currently installed on a pc you can use belarc advisor to retrieve it. -
I am trying to move Indesign CS6 to a new computer.
To do this I need the serial number of the license.
It seems I did not register the number on my Adobe account as nothing is there.
I bought the software in August 2012 - and no longer have the invoice.
i think we got the software by box but am not sure.
Please help!Hello Karen,
in this case you should search for Adobe's staff members by writing a personal message. They can often help better than we, we the users like you. Please have a look in the forum to persons with this icon under their avatar:

My son lost his iPod and we can't remember his Apple ID password to go to Find My IPod. The password reset function sends a link to his @me email which he never used and of course doesn't have the password to... What do do?
If you didn't add a rescue email address and your me address is your primary address, Try contacting Apple using Express Lane (select your country, navigate to iCloud help and enter the serial number of one of your devices)

In FCE, how do i retrieve lost video images for my edit?
In FCE, a project that i have worked on has lost some of the video images from an original file imported from iMovie. The source footage still remains in iMovie. How do i get the lost images back, without having to re-edit the whole thing?
Also, please, what is the short cut to "highlight all" or select all" in FCE?
Thanks for your help!Import the source footage from the iMovie events folder and add it in.
Command-A. Pretty much always in every Mac application. -
How do I purchase a serial key for InDesign CS 5.5? (I don't want CS6)
Can anyone from Adobe tell me where I can buy a serial key for my InDesign CS 5.5? I already have the program and earlier purchased the other CS 5.5 programs, I don't want the CS 6 version. Seems impossible to locate on the Adobe homepage - help appreciated!
Adobe's online store only sells licenses for the current versions of their products.
You may be able to find a retail (boxed) version from a third-party reseller, but given how long CS6 has been around I doubt it. -

How do I retrieve my serial number if my computer was lost
how do I retrieve my serial number if my computer was lost
If you still have the box that the computer came in, the serial # is listed on there.
If the computer was registered, call Customer Relations - 1800-767-2775. They may be able to track your serial number after you provide them w/your name, address and/or other personal information.
Hopefully, you already reported your computer stolen to the police and your homeowners insurance. Your homeowners insurance company would have the serial # also. -
