Thanks for the quick reply.  I figured out how to get the desired results by using tagging.  For anyone who may reference this post in the future, I went to "Customize" in the top right corner of Adobe, then selected "Create new tool set...", looked under "accessiblity and found the "tag" option.  Hit ok, tag is added to the toolbar.  Then I highlighted the dataset in the PDF that was relevant to the output format, then clicked "tag", saved as spreadsheet.  Sorry I can't provide more details on how tagging works or if there's a more elegant solution available, but I'm sure one's out there.

How do I save my contact sheets as a file instead of printing?

In Aperture 3 there are two print dialogs. The first is Aperture specific. After you finish this dialog the printer specific dialog will open. In the PDF menu choose Save as PDF...
I've forgotten how Aperture 2 works but it has a different print dialog I think. Look for the same PDF menu or a Preview button.

When you restore from a Time Machine back up you can pick and chose what is restored. It is not an all or nothing process. Nor do you have to do the partial restores all at the same time. If days after the first partial restore you find something else you want you can restore just that.

  • How do you save an iMovie project as a file?

how do you save an imovie as a windows file?

You first have to format the External drive as Mac OS Extended. This can be done with Disk Utility which is located in the Utilities Folder inside the Applications Folder. Once formatted as a native Mac OS drive, iMovie will allow you to 'turn on' the visibility of the external drive. Make sure to make the hard drive visible in the Events Library by going to the View Menu > Group Events by Disk. In the Projects Folder you should also see the same drive.
Drag your Project folders to the external drive icon in the Project Library. Also drag your Event Folders to the external drive (but make sure to drag it to the icon that is visible in the Event Library, don't drag it to the Project Library drive icon).
This dragging operation will 'duplicate' your Project Folders and Event Folders on the external drive. So to make space on your internal drive, always delete the original folders AFTER you make copies of them on the External drive. In the future when you are importing video into a New Event, make sure to choose the external drive as the location for the the New Event folder. Similalrly create a new Project Folder in the external drive location in the Project Library.
iMovie doesn't have save menu, it auto-saves in the background continuously as you work on the Project. That way you don't lose any work by forgetting to save the project.

  • The pdf file that i am converting has multiple pages but the conversion only exports the 1st page into excel.  How do i get the product to include all pages on multiple sheets?

    Hi,
The pdf file that I am converting has multiple pages but the conversion only exports the 1st page into excel.  How do i get the product to include all pages on multiple sheets?

    Hi christinek,
Can you please tell me how the PDF that you're converting was created? Sometimes, PDF files created by third-party PDF generators (that is non-Adobe applications), don't contain all the tags and file information necessary to ensure a proper conversion to Excel. There are no settings that you can change in ExportPDF to adjust how the file is imported.
You can tell how the PDF was created by choosing File > Properties in Reader and looking for the PDF Producer on the Description tab. If the PDF was created by a third-party, it just may not be written to spec. Please see Support Policy for PDF Files created by non Adobe applications.
    Best,
    Sara

  • In Adobe Pro XI when converting an excel file to a pdf, the pdf is not retaining the page size settings.  Has anyone found a fix for this?

In Adobe Pro XI when converting an excel file to a pdf, the pdf is not retaining the page size settings.  Has anyone found a fix for this?

It shouldn't print each page as a separate job and
each tab has a different name, so, even if it did, it
ought to give the printouts the name of the tabs.
It doesn't print each page as a separate job unless the orientation is different - that's the bug. And the name of the job is taken from the name of the window, not the name of the tabs. That's how every application works, which, I think, is why Excel allows the specific selection or the active sheets to be printed.
Still, that does sound like a plausible explanation.
However, even if presented with multiple prints with
the same name, the spooler should print each one!
The spooler does print each one - you can watch the spooler process the multiple jobs. I think, though, that they are being overwritten since all the jobs have the name of the window as the job title. And since this happens after the Save Dialog is presented, there's really nothing the application can do. To Excel, it's one job, the multiple orientations don't matter; it's just that Apple doesn't handle it correctly.
As a workaround, you can print the selections one at a time and give them unique names and then rejoin them in one PDF file.

  • Saving an Excel File as a PDF

    Hi,
I am desperately trying to convert a large excel file to a PDF.
I have 26 columns and a LOT of rows.
When I go to file in excel and then click 'save as PDF' it saves the columns on separate pieces of paper, which just makes viewing the data impossible.
Is there anyway to get the excel workbook to save to PDF in a readable format? (such as saving it how you would select the print area ... if that makes sense?)
    Hope someone can help!
    Many Thanks!

  • Having issues Creating a PDF from an Excel file

When creating PDFs from an Excel file using the Adobe PDF printer, I sometimes run into an issue where the PDF ends up shrinking what's on the document and distorting the image. I have examined all Print Settings and can't find a difference between any of the margin settings, paper size, etc. Once I go to print to Adobe PDF, it just changes the way the whole document looks and is spaced.
To work around the issue, I use Microsoft's built in Save As PDF feature, but that's only works some of the time. I would like to use the Acrobat software so that I can also edit the document immediately without having to re-open it.

Be sure Adobe PDF is selected as the printer in the print menu. Then do a print preview. It it looks wrong then, it is likely an Excel format issue.

  • Converting A PDF to an Excel File

I recently purchased a list that has something along the lines of 1600 pages of data.  When I purchased it, I was told it would be in an Excel spreadsheet I could manipulate and work with.  Instead, it came in a PDF.
Is there anyway I can convert that PDF to an Excel file?  I have been looking into third party software, does anyone have any recommendations?
    Thanks.

You can try saving the entire file as an Excel spreadsheet (in Acrobat X it's under File - Save As - Spreadsheet), or you can select parts of the text (using the Text Selection Tool), and then right-clicking it and exporting it or copying it as a table, if that option appears.
