How do i search for a specific email in mail.

I would like to know how do i search my inbox for an email that was sent more than a week ago. There is no search optin, or a "sort by" option as in mails on an i-Mac.

You did not tell us where you might be searching, so I will assume you are searching in the iTunes Audiobooks Store.
Open iTunes, go to the iTunes Store, and click the downward arrow to the right of "Books" toward the top and select Audiobooks. Then if you don't see what you're looking for, type the search words in the search area toward the upper right of the iTunes window.

UCxn - Query to search for a specific email address

I've got an odd issue...I've got a user in our London office on a completely separate voicemail system (Unity 5) that is receiving SMTP notifications from the voicemail system (UCxn 9.1.2) here in the US. I'm wondering if there's a query I can run against the database to search for her email address and see if it is in the US cluster someplace? I'm not a DB guy at all, so when it comes to SQL, I'm lost.

You can try the user data dump from the ciscounitytools online and then just search the output and see if it's in there.

Dear all, first of all thanks for your support.
Please don’t hit me but I am currently a BlackBerry user, since this is the standard I got from the company I work for.
That said, new server technologies allows now to use also other devices with the same company server, something that gives me the chance to switch to an iPhone.
Basically it’s all ready for the switch, but just one thing holds me from making the step.
It’s the email messages filing procedure.
With the iPhone, assuming I am not missing something (something that I hope), when you want to file an email in one of your folders you select the “file” function and then you scroll with your finger across the folders list you have in your email account.
This is all right if you have an handful of folders, but if you have hundreds, if not thousands, of folders it will take forever to find the one you’re looking for.
With a BlackBerry, once you selected the email messages you’d like to file, and after you selected the “file” function, you can also scroll, but – very important for me – I can also start typing the initial letters of the folder I’m looking for. The more I type the less folders will appear, as less folders will match with letters I typed. Once the list is short enough to easily see the folder you want (usually after you typed two or three letters, which takes no more than a second), you can pick the folder you wanted in a blink of an eye.
This makes email messages filing a very fast operation, and since I use this for my job I can’t live without email filing.
If someone of you knows how to perform the same with an iPhone, and possibly with the original apple mail software, I will very glad to make the switch.

How do i search for an old email in time machine

I have tried using spotlight as the online help suggest and launching time machine but nothing seems to happen after time machine opens.
Am I being impatient?
Can it be done from mail?
Also how do you stop Time Machine backing up emails; which folder do you choose in TM preferences?

How do I search for a specific artist in the itunes store? I can't find a search bar.

I am trying to find a specific artist who's music I want to purchase but I can not locate a manual search bar to input the artist name. I do not want to nor do I have the time to look through all featured artists to locate the specific artist to purchase. At this point I'm about to go to a brick and mortar store and just buy the CD.

If you are missing the Search field you may be missing the entire top section, together with the progress bar when playing and the red, yellow and green buttons. This can happen if iTunes overlaps the top of the screen (which of course it shouldn't do).
If this is the case, click and drag on the very bottom right-hand corner of the window (when in Library/Music or the iTunes Store) and drag upwards to reduce the height of the window. Then click on the bottom bar and drag downwards.

This is pretty sad, having to ask this question, it should be easier to find, but on the itunes>music>audio books section, there is book genres but no search? i dont want to have to go through pages and pages when i can just type in the book name. is there any way to do this? audiobooks are not availble on the app store right?

When searching for email messages from within Mail or when using Spotlight, you can search the To, From, and Subject fields. Search "All" searches all three of these fields. The text, or body, of messages is not searched.

How do I turn off all alerts for a specific email account

I want to disable all notifications for a specific email account and I can't find the options to do this. So basically I have 3 email accounts linked on my blackberry. I and I want to make it so that any time account #3 gets an email I don't get a red flashing light or a new message * anywhere. I case you're wondering I've funneled all those annoying promo adds to this one account. It's just that sometimes some of them actually have good deals so I want to be able to check them every now and then but it's seriously annoying when my red light is going off constantly. NEVER MIND! I found it, but I'm going to leave this here incase anyone else it looking for something like this. You go into notification profiles and change the settings for that profile. So it's : Notifications -> Profiles -> Normal (or which ever one you want) -> Customize App Notifications -> Email Messages -> Select email account you want -> Turn off all notifications or modify them to your preference. It does suck that you can't just globally set it by email account. It seems you have to go through each profile and change the settings one at a time. Most people probably only have 3 though so it's not that big a deal #firstworldproblems. DOUBLE NEVER MIND! So the "solution" I mentioned above only seems to work for the LED indicator and the instant popup you that comes on the top of the screen when you get a new notification. I'm still getting the red "new email" star on the side bar when I do a quick look from the homescreen or an app. And the 3rd email account has a "new email" red star next to it as well. Hoping someone out there knows how to turn them off for a specific email account. Thanks. - Kbye

Hi, I am using German OS therefore maybe the items are called differently in English: 1) Go into the main menu 2) Select "Alerts" 3) select the Profile you like to adjust 4) Select App Alerts 5) Select Email 6) You sould see your 3 mail accounts listed 7) Select the one you like to "mute" and you can set everything (sound, LED, vibration etc. individually for this acount) Hope it helps Alex

Im trying to implement a Multigraph ADT in Java. Multigraph is a graph that has multible edges connecting a node. I assume you all know what a Graph ADT looks like.
So i think ive got all the basic methods functions of a normal graph/mulitgraph and now i want to search for a element in it
The question is how will i so that?
Do i use a breadth first search?
But i thought a BFS traverses all the elements in a graph? And how can i use a BFS to search for a specific element in a graph?

thanks for your reply but i still some query.
I thought of doing that but i want to remember the nodes i revisted to get to the target (not all - but the quickest route to that node)
My design so far is:
have 3 Interface namely Graph, Node & Edge.
Classes will inherit those interface to provide the actual implementation as i want the details/coding to be abstract meaning i can give many different way of implementations.
The graph class will add nodes & edges where when adding edges, edge will store 2 nodes in it respectively source & destination nodes.
Both Node & Edges will be stored in graph using some data structures atm (arrayList i presume)
My Design is that i want to (my aim of the task of searching) search for a node in the multigraph by inputting (maybe 2 nodes) into method - start node target node! The method should return a list of nodes to get to the target node.+
So so far i have this wee algorithm in mind:
+1. Input start + target node as parameters+
+2. Use BFS to search the graph+
+3. When reached target node - halt+
+4. return the list of nodes that visited to get there (but not all - only the precise & fastest)+
So will that work?
If so how do i go about doing implementation?
