How do I set links to open in Chrome instead of Safari

I find that using Chrome as my browser things work better. However, if someone sends me a link it always opens in Safari can anyone tell me how to make Chrome my default browser

There is no way to change the default browser.
I believe that if you use the GMail mail App then links can be opened in Chrome.

This is server side code , you should write in your C# code behind method for Click event of Link Button .
- Use 1st part code in your button event handler method. (Replace <username> with current user name), best way is to find the crome.exe location at your dev machine , and paste the path here -
process.StartInfo.FileName = @""; , default location is in user's appdata folder. Test the code.
- If the above code works , and if your crome.exe is in user's appdata folder , then you will need to find dynamic location of AppData folder for every user. That means the path should not be hard coded. The 2nd part of the code is an hint for how you can
find the appdata path in C#. Something like this

- And if this work , then try it with dynamic path for any user, find appdata folder location through code

Go into FF Preferences & set it to be your default browser. This way when you click on an email link in Chrome, FF will open.

I just spent several hours dealing with this when switching to a new PC. It was extremely frustrating as I knew my files were on my external HD but no matter how many times I copied my old iTunes folder over the files were still missing...because dummy me had forgotten to "unhide folders" on my new PC and my old files were actually stored in a hidden folder created long long ago.
This is how I did it on Windows 7 with iTunes 10
1. Look in iTunes Advanced Preferences to see where iTunes is saving files. (Edit, Preferences, Advanced)
Example: C:/Users/Woildbill/My Music/iTunes/Music
2. Ensure you are able to see hidden files - Control Panel, Folder Option, View, Show Hidden Files
3. Use Your Computer's Search Function to Locate the Missing File (Start, Search, type name of song - I started my search in "My Music" folder but be sure to expand to entire Computer if not found right away)
4. In Search Results, right-click found folder and select properties. This will tell you where the file is actually stored.
5. Use Windows Explorer (right-click start) to navigate to the location of the file. It is likley your other missing files are in the same location.
6. In Windows Explorer, copy the newly located files to the iTumes location from Step 1 and everything should work again.

Click the orange Firefox button, and click "Options". This will bring up a new window with a "Tabs" tab at the top. Click that. There will be several checked boxes, including one called "Open new windows in a new tab instead" up at the top of the list. Uncheck that box and you should be good to go.
ETA: This should also work if you click "Tools" and "Options" within your version.

Special > Hypertext > Command "open document" will do its best to open the target document inside FrameMaker, which may not be much help; Special > Hypertext > Command "message …" will use the application you specify. The user guide for 7.0 says this about absolute links, and I don't think anything has changed since:
For example, to start PaintBrush and open the Ship.pcx file on drive C you would use the command message system pbrush.exe C:/Ship.pcx
I've not often used a relative link, and not recently: the same source says

I assume you're using Portal 3.0 (it always helps to mention which portal version you're using).

No. If you simply click on a hyperlink in pretty much anything, Safari will open since it is the default browser. The only option you have is tap and hold on the link, and then select Add to reading list. It will then be stored int eh reading list in Safari.

Now when I open a new window it is opened in my primary monitor. It does not open maximized (just short of being completely maximized). Which search do you mean?
*searching via the location bar (pref: keyword.URL)
*search bar on the Navigation Toolbar
*search bar on the about:home page (pref: browser.search.defaultenginename)
*other search bar (e.g. added by extension)
For the search bar on the Navigation Toolbar you can set the Boolean pref browser.search.openintab to true on the about:config page.
You can also middle-click the search button or menu entry or use Alt+Enter to open the results in a new tab.
For the Google website you can set that via the Google Search Settings page.
