How do I set/reset my passcode? I am locked out. I can't restore because I get a prompt that I need to turn off "Find my phone". I'm in an endless circle of frustration.

How do I set/reset my passcode on my iPhone 6 Plus?
I am locked out and don't have a passcode (at least I don't recall setting one)
I can't restore from backup to reset my pC because I get a prompt that I need to turn off "Find my phone" to restore.
I'm in an endless circle of frustration.
Any help on this matter is appreciated.

  • I'm trying to reset my ipod touch but for that i need to turn off find my ipod touch but i cant do that without entering my apple id password which is linked to an email that has been deleted help me please what do i do

Okay so when I had a ipod touch 4 with ios 6 my apple id got hacked and they spent all my itunes credit bla blah blah. so i made a new apple id which was fine and was working. i recently upgraded to an ipod 5 so did my sister and i got ios 7and she just kept ios 6 then my ipod camera crapped out so i decided to back up my ipod first and switch with my litttle sister by erasing and restoring both of them. I erased my little sisters one and restored it to mine but it said to do that it needed to upgrade to io7 so i let it do its thing and then my ipod camera started working again (i hadnt erased mine) I then relised when i clicked back up to my ipod on my little sisters ipod i clicked the back up which was ages ago when i was using my ipod 4 and ios6 with my old apple id that i no longer use. now that i want to change her ipod back to her own one not with my old stuff on it. it is logged into the old apple id with the old email that we deleted and the old icloud account linked to the same old email account that is deleted. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------LONG STORY SHORT : I am trying to erase my sisters ipod so i can restore it back to normal but theres is an old apple id on it with an email account and icloud account that has been deleted. For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
    iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    Also
If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.

    You have multiple AppleIDs?
Did you try the AppleID & password you use to login/post here?

Just delete them from the album.
What is a drawback? That you can delete items from albums?

IF you know that, try restart your iPhone if it doesnt work try restoring your device. If it doesnt work again, you have hardware problem. Try changing your screen.

I'm prompted to turn it off in settings but, obviously, I can't because I'm locked out due to too many incorrect passcode attempts.  What should I do?  PS: I downloaded IOS7 today.  My passcode was never enabled!  But after I installed the new software it automatically turned it on.  I hadn't used it in so long, I couldn't remember my last passcode, hence the lockout.

    Hello 199Seth
Reset the password and that will take care of activating your iPhone.

Login to your iCloud account from the computer, go to Find My Phone, and remove the iPhone from the devices list.  Then proceed to restore.

  • My iphone 4s froze last night and won't do anything.  I have iOS7, my power button is not working, so I can't reset my phone.  I've tried to restore through iTunes, but it's telling me to turn off find my phone. I can't do that if my phone does nothing

I've tried all that I know how to do.  My power button quit working awhile ago so I use the Assistive Touch to lock my screen.  Once my phone froze, the screen went black.  The only thing I can do now on my phone is hold down the home key and Siri will beep but she says "not taking requests at this time, try again later."  I can't reset my phone without the power key or the Assistive Touch button.  I've tried plugging into iTunes to restore the phone but I get an error message to first go to Settings in my phone and turn off "find my iPhone."  I can't do that either as nothing will come up on my screen.

Make sure iTunes is up to date and try again.
