How do I set TB so it does NOT alert me when junk mail arrives?
I keep TB up most of the time in the background while I work because I frequently get emails from my clients and family during the day. The problem is that I also get a lot of junk mail and so TB is also constantly notifying me of this junk mail. This distracts me from my work and takes time from my working day to check what just came in when I hear the notification. I would like to have the option in Settings to select which accounts (I have 4) and which folders within each account should notify me. I need to have ready access to the junk folders so I can check them occasionally for legitimate mail but I don't need to know every time something arrives there. I would like to be notified when new mail arrives in one of the Inbox's but not when it arrives in a Spam or Bulk or Junk folder. Thank you, DaveWK
I don't think you can. New mail is new mail. There might be something on the add-on site. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/

Thankyou for your reply! Yes that's exactly the behaviour I am after! I have replicated your file, but mine is not quite behaving the same way. Once you play button 1, and then 2, and then click button one again, button 2 animation plays on top of the button 1 animation. How did you prevent this from happening in your file? I cant see anything different.

My ipad2 is non responsive to touch. I have updated the software using ITunes and have restored the device to factory setting and it still does not resonse. Has anyone had this problem? What do you suggest?

where the fix is "in your registry, go to:

or

if value is empty then add in:

Hi, I am trying to delete some aps, but the delete "x" does not come up when the ap is pressed. Anyone know how to fix. Also, my ipod is turning off on its own and won't power back on unless I plug it in although it is fully charged.
For the apps:
- You can't delete the apps that came with the iPod
- Go to Settings>General>Restrictions and see if there is the Restrictions set that prevents deleting apps -
I have an apple iphone 4 that I want to download audio books from my library onto. I cannot figure out how to do that. The iphone does not show up on my mac laptop as a connected device. Does this kind of download have to run through itunes? Thanks
Yes it is done through iTunes. The iPhone will never show up in Finder as a device. My iPad does not have sound when on the Internet, including YouTube, but does have sound with iTunes and other apps. How can I correct this?
If you are sure that you have sound in other apps - and if you can still hear keyboard clicks and get notifications, then system sounds are not muted. Try this and see if it works.
Close all apps completely and reboot the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -

My brother and I phone number is link together on the same iTunes and Icloud therefore I am getting all his text messages on my phone, how do I stop this? He does not even have an Iphone anymore.
Try going to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and uncheck the email address(es) shown under "You can be reached by iMessage at". If that doesn't work, you'll have to tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different Apple ID for iMessage.

Note, though, that this won't change the behavior when replying to a message... in that case, the reply will be sent from the account that received the message, unless you specify differently at that time. -

I am using Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8.2) on my MacBook (mid-2009); Mail version 6.1 (1498).
My incoming mail server is pop3.live.com (Hotmail).
When I send an email on the Hotmail website, it does not register in my Mac Mail sent box.
How do I rectify this?
Many thanks for your help in advance.You have to send it from the Mail program on the Mac not the website. When you send it from the website it is in the sent folder on the website.
I handle all my mail in the Mac Mail program never the website.
