How do I set the time interval that my email is checked?

I was test-driving "SpamSweep" on my iMac 24 and
chose to ignore it
rather than buy it.
While "SS" was on, I was notified of email every
minute.
After I turned it off, I no longer received email
automatically.
My "HELP" section and my Mac book both said to
"choose MAIL---
Preferences,
click General, and choose a time interval from the
'check for new
mail' pop-up menu."
Nope.
I can go to MAIL and Preferences, but there is
nothing that says
"General".
If I click on the bottom left corner "+" sign,
GENERAL comes up, but
will only allow me to add an account.
HOW do I find the location that allows me to choose
how often my mail
is checked (without being dependent upon SpamSweep)?
On my laptop, it comes up w/ Mail, Preferences,
General...and allows
me to choose the "check email" time. It also shows a
whole tool bar of
fun items.
But on my big desktop, the only things that show up
are when I click
MAIL, Preferences are "Account Information, Mailbox
Behaviors, and
Advanced".

Hello, and welcome to the Discussions.
It appears that your Toolbar has become hidden. Click on the small, white, pill-shaped button at the right top of the window that results from invoking Preferences.
Also can be correct in the pull-down menu under View -- Show Toolbar.

Hi Guys -
Does anyone know how you can set the time period that the stock email will keep the already downloaded messages for IMAP email accounts?
Mine never seems to show more than a couple of days worth at a time. I'd ideally like to be able to see at least 2 weeks worth of messages without needing to download them again!
On other phones I've had there was a setting in the menu, but either I can't find it...or it's not there. I've found the setting for how OFTEN it checks the accounts, but not the setting I am seeking.

How do I set the Time of Day that a sync will occur?

Like a lot of Aussies I have an ISP plan that has Peak/Off-Peak hours. What I want to do is have my iTunes do all it's sync/podcast updates at a certain time (say 4AM) when I'm not doing anything else, it's taken from my Off-Peak monthly usage total and leaving me both free bandwidth and Peak time capacity for the month.
I notice I can set my Podcast updates to check daily, but how does one set the time of the day?

I believe that when it has attempted to download (or actually downloaded) it automatically schedules the next attempt after the time period. To make it execute your downloads at 4AM, get up at 4AM once and force it to check for downloads, it should schedule the next attempt at 4AM the next day, then the following, etc.
I would schedule the first download early in the offpeak hours so that if there is any drift in the time, it wouldn.t run into the peak hours.

There were problems with the correct time display for postings, and based on another recent post this doesn't seem to have been fixed. My advice... don't worry about it.

How to set the time interval for data obtain through labview via write measureme

I'm need to programme to obtain data from oscilloscope. Currently my laptop able to communicate with Agilent DSO6014A oscilloscope via USB. I'm include the write measurement in mty program and save the data in .lvm file. But the time interval in the data are too small which is in micron seconds. Is there a way to modify the interval values?

How do i set the time frame of a waveform chart programmatically to be a 30 sec window or a 24 hour window

i'm using LV7.0 and what i need to do is to be able to set the time frame or range of a waveform chart programmatically before i start taking and plotting data. sometimes this window needs to be 30s wide and sometimes it needs to be 24 hrs wide. (in the first reference, i need the chart to fill up with 30s of historical data then the whole chart scrolls with each new data point). the data acquisition records data at a rate of once per second. i've tried to use the chart properties of XScale.offset, XScale.Range.Minimum and XScale.Range.Maximum but no matter what i do the time-stamp on the x-axis is always "00:00:00 PM" and "MM/DD/YYYY" even though values are seen being plotted on the right side of the chart as expected.

Okay, there seems to be some confusion here -- the X axis values are of type double, but they can be represented in the HH:MMS MMD:YYYY format if you want in which case it interprets the floating point as the number of seconds since 6pm Dec 31, 1903.
You can programmatically set this value using the XScale.Minimum and XScale.Maximum properties, but note that if you wire a waveform to the chart after setting these values the t0 parameter will override what you set using the property node for XScale.Minimum. If instead you leave the t0 parameter empty you can use the XScale.Offset property and wire the same value in that you wire to XScale.Minimum. Changing the amount you add to XScale.Minmum to obtain what you wire into XScale.Maximum will determine the time window size.

I live in Denmark, where we use the 24 hour system.
So I want to set the time-based access control to from 7.00 in the morning to 2.00 at night, but every time the Timecapsule says wrong time format, I can use the night time 23.59, but thats not late enough.

Set two controls.. 7 to 23.59 and 00.01 to 00.20
This is common as the control cannot handle times longer than 1day.

How do I set the trace interval for DSC Read Trace.vi ?

I am using the DSC Module's "Read Traces.vi" to read historical traces and display them on an xy graph. Normally, I update in real time every second or two and have a time interval of one hour or less, but sometimes, I want to look at a day or more of data on the trend. Since all of my variables are logged in one second intervals (although I do have a log deadband for most variables), this could potentially be a tremendously large array, and I want to minimize CPU usage and eliminate "out of memory" problems.
Does updating the "interpolation interval" value in the vi options cluster update the data point to data point interval for all data points in a trace or just in areas that need to be interpolated, e.g where there are gaps (due to for instance a data point value not changing more than its log deadband for a period of time)? I am wondering if I set this value to a larger number of seconds, then will it solve my problem or provide no change if all of my data points change continually.

Hi Michael,
I spent a good deal of time playing around with this, and it appears that the functionality of the Read Traces.vi's option input is to interpolate (draw a straight horizontal line in a graph) the data for all traces. This includes those that have updated within the interval (the updates are lost)... and having a larger interval would have more data loss.
If you want to minimize disk usage, you'd want to increase the deadband so that fewer points are written to Citadel - I'm not sure what aspect of your program is concerning you with CPU usage. You mention that all of your variables are logged in one second intervals.
Hopefully I have understood your concern and the workings of this VI. If I haven't, please post some screenshots or describe a little more clearly what you are looking to accomplish.
For future reference, the LabVIEW DSC forum would probably be a better place to post questions, rather than fieldpoint

I installed the HP Office Jet 4622 All-in-one Printer and everything works wonderfu. However on the test page for the fax the time and date are showing Jan-00-00 00:00AM. I do not know how to change the date and time. Please help. Thanks.

Use the Setup (wrench icon) button on the front of the printer to look through the settings menu to set the printer time and date.

Setting the time interval for LEDs

hello I am new to labview, I am trying to do something simple, but made it a lot more complicated than it needs to be. I need turn on an LED and turn it off, but in random intervals, such as turn it on for 1 second, then turn it off for 2 seconds, then turn it on for 2 seconds, then turn it off for one second, so no real pattern. I need to do this to the LED for a minute, I tried a really convoluted method with a time target and case strictures, but I can only program that to activate in specific intervals, I am not able to set them. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Here is a VI of my convoluted method that didn't work.

You have not tried to implement altenbach's suggestion of autoindexing an array of delays.
The Reshape Array needs to be outside the for loop. You want to reshape the 3x4 2D array into a 12 element 1D array. What you are doing is reshaping a 3 element 1D array into a 12 element 1D array. This results in the last nine elements always = zero.
The Arduino expects an 8-bit unsigned integer. So the data in the arrays should also be U8.
If the index to Replace Array Subset is negative or greater than the maximum index in the 2D array, it does nothing. I am not sure exactly what you are trying to do with the array index manipulations so I did not try to fix it. I added some indicators to show what is happening.
When using autoindexing on a for loop, do not also wire to N.
The Arduino Rseource wires and the error wires should be connected through the loop boundaries with shift registers, not tunnels, particularly not autoindexing tunnels.
I do not have an Arduino, so I used Diagram Disable structures to disable the Arduino VIs for testing without getting errors.
You seem to be allergic to straight wires. Actually the auto wiring tool is probably on and IT is allergic to straight wires. I find it easier to understand a block diagram where the wires do not have excessive bends.
