If you have birthdays setup in your Contacts app:
iPhone/iPad/iPod:
1. Check Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Default Alert Times > Birthdays > set your default time here.
2. In Calendar app > Calendars (bottom centre) > OTHER > make sure Birthdays is selected.
Mac:
Calendar app > Preferences... >
General > Show Birthdays calendar > make sure it is selected.
Alerts > Birthdays > set your birthdays default time here

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. If you are coming from pre-Mountain Lion, then Address Book has changed to Contacts.
Open Contacts.
Select an Account in the group list, if you want the contact in a specific group. If Groups aren't showing, you can display them from the View menu.
Click the Add card button ( + ).
Enter the information for the contact.
If you need multiple entries for a particular field type, a new blank entry will show up below the one you are adding.
If you need other fields, use the Card menu to Add a new field type.
If you want to change the default fields available when you create a new card, choose Edit Template…
If you have sent emails to someone and you want to get that address to add to a Contact, use the Previous Recipients command in the View menu in Mail.
If you need to add a new Group, hover the cursor over the account name, and a + button will appear. Click it.

Depending on the printer, you may be able to connect/print by creating an ad-hoc (Wi-Fi direct with no router) connection. Check with your printer manufacturer to see if this is supported.
There's a ton of info out there. You could google "ipad print ad-hoc" for some useful info. But the number one thing for you right now is to verify that your printer model supports an ad-hoc connection.

Hi all, I have a 64gb iPad 2 running iOS 5.1 which work have supplied me with, I'm an apple n00b but am quite experienced with Windows. My mail is synchronised with the office server and I can access that on my Windows laptop or my iPad.
When I receive a new email that I need to either reply to or perform an action in order for it to be considered complete (ie not just a FYI email that I can file away), I can set this email as a to-do task in Windows, set a coloured reminder to the email, flag the email with a reminder to pop onto my screen etc at a later date - ie loads of ways to highlight to me that this needs to be actually actioned but there doesn't seem to be any way of doing anything with the embedded email program other than mark it as unread.
At the moment I'm resorting to creating a subfolder called "To do" and manually moving these emails there for the minute but setting a reminder or task, which I've had the ability to set on Windows Outlook since the 90's, seems impossible on the iPad. Other than this my only options seem to be marking the email as unread or going to the reminders app myself and type a 'manual' reminder referencing this email.
Is there any way, or app, that I can either create a reminder/task straight to reminders from the email or, at the very least, do something to differentiate it from the rest of the emails in my inbox (even highlighting it in a colour would do)?

This is an extremely vexing problem and I would like to know if anyone has a solution please. Here is my situation:
Using standalone (simply my home one not connected to network or exchange) Outlook 2007 (soon to upgrade to 2013) on PC - Windows 8.1. Have an iPhone 6. Want the closest possible functionality (particularly categories, reminders, etc.) on my iPhone for my standalone Outlook. The only thing I have found close is DejaOffice and Companion Link (which work together). I am seriously considering as appears a close mirror image for all things I do, but they don't have email. So, can someone please give me either a) a better comprehensive application/solution; b) a separate 3rd party email app that will allow me to flag an email, on either computer or iPhone with perfect sync, as a reminder without having to create a separate task; or c) your best/closest solution set to be as seamlessly productive as possible using either native or 3rd party email app and your :"manual workaround." Once ePrint is setup, you can send an email to the printer's email address.
Be sure to use one of these email clients when sending to the printer. If the Blackberry will not send using your original email address, setup a new email account on the Blackberry and try again.

Might that new playlist be a smart playlist named something like "Recently Added"?
Yes, iTunes does create such a smart playlist and uses it to house recently downloaded songs.
If you want the songs to go to an existing playlist as well, set up the smart playlist to include rule(s) to include the latest additions.

How do I remove the birthday notifications from my lock screen?

Basically all it says is its "XXXX's birthday in 4 hours at 12:00am" I don't care/ need to see that on my lock screen, I'd rather it was just empty and clean looking. I've tried going into settings > display > lockscreen > turn off notifications yet it still says it's whoever birthday in X amount of hours / minutes. Yes I've done a reboot, yes I've gone into calendar settings and hit manage and unchecked all of the associated accounts that might be giving information on when the birthdays are. I also went into my facebook settings and turned off sync events and birthday reminders to none... yet I clearly still have names birthdays on my lock screen... I haven't talked to these people in years I don't need to be reminded about their birthday so I can write two words on their wall...

Actually no that's not it! You have to go to settings then accounts then tap to facebook account and scroll to bottom then tap birthday reminder to none!

well, you can use cyradmin to take a look at the other shared folders on the server side without changing anything. i'm going to guess that's the way the shared folder was setup in the first place.
of course, this begs the question: why does this client/company share 45 gb of sent mail in this fashion, and how could they better use technology and/or resources for their needs?
it sounds like yet another gross misuse of mail standards. just because you can share that huge pile of mail data doesn't mean you should.

I don't think there is such an option on a limited phone like the 2630.
On phones running S60 such as the Nseries and Eseries devices (and a few others) there is an option to copy a number from the contacts into the clipboard and you can subsequently paste it into a new message. Older S40 phones like the 2630 don't have a clipboard facility to do copy/paste actions.
