How do I set up directory alias in Tomcat 4.0.3?

Hello!
Let's say I want to map http://my.ip.address/photos
to the folder c:\my documents\photos on my hard drive.
How do I tell Tomcat that I want make this mapping?
Thank you in advance.

I can't remember the exact syntax, but you do it using the <context> tag in the Server.xml file. Look for the server.xml file in the "conf" or "bin" directory. Try doing a google search on the context tag and you should get an example.

    How do I set up an alias .mac email address in entourage? I set it up the same as my master .mac email address, but it is not working.

    There are a couple of ways of doing this. The easiest is probably to just add the secondary address in the Mail.app -> Preferences -> Accounts field.
    The specifics of which vary a little based on the OS/Mail.app version you're running, but in Yosemite:
    Mail -> Preferences -> Accounts
    Select your iCloud account and change the 'Alias' popup menu from your iCloud address to 'custom'.
    Doing this enables the 'Email Address' field. In this field you can enter the email address you want to appear in your From header.
    If you want to use multiple addresses (e.g. your iCloud address and your other alias), you can enter a comma-separated list of addresses - e.g. '[email protected], [email protected]' and then you'll have a pop-up menu on each new message where you can choose the address to use for each outgoing message. You can also set the default address in Preferences -> Composing -> Send new messages from:

    First I'd like a quick list of steps on how to set up an iCloud alias on the PC (Windows 7).
    And second, can someone tell me what an alias is? So if someone could clean up that confusion before I start making alias's galore!
    Thanks!

    This explains how to create an alias on iCloud.com: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mm6b1a490a.  An alias address is an alternative email address that will receive email in your existing iCloud email inbox.  They can be suspended or deleted later.  Just be aware that you can't later use it to create another iCloud account or move it to another account.

  • How to set default directory for SQL LOADER

    hi all,
    i wanted to know how can we setup a default directory for SQL LOADER if at all we can. i connot place my control and data files in local system and use them at command prompt. rather i wanted to know if we can set default directory that the loader can use. this requirement is basically to enable all the clients to upload the data placed on the server and use the loader utility.
    thanks in advance,

    Ella,
    You don't say which version of SQL Developer you are using via Citrix, but just setting the SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR hasn't worked for a long time (see Re: SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR does not function anymore). Also, since version 1.5, the default for the user directory (now set via ide.user.dir as shown below) is under the user profile area (relative to %APPDATA%), which you should be able to write to, even on Citrix.
    Assuming that neither of those help, you will need to get whoever installed SQL Developer on the Citrix C: drive to modify the sqldeveloper.conf to have a line like, where the path exists for everyone who will be using the shared SQL Developer (assumes everyone has a H: drive):
    AddVMOption -Dide.user.dir=H:\sqldeveloperAn alternative (depending on how you start SQL Developer via Citrix), is to create your own shortcut to start SQL Developer with something like:
    sqldeveloper -J-Dide.user.dir="%SQLDEVELOPER_USER_DIR%"theFurryOne

  • Defining directory alias weblogic http

    hi all
              I think I have asked this question twice before and I have received feedback
              from other developers that they want to know the answer as well. However I
              haven't gotten any answer from weblogic yet. so PLEASE weblogic support, say
              at least yes or no.
              We want to define directory alias in weblogic (with 3.1.8). Exactly the same
              as in MS IIS directory alias or virtual directory. In the other words, we
              want a path in http URL points to somewhere in the local system, such as
              http://localhost/download -> c:\download_area\
              http://localhost/upload -> d:\upload_area\
              http://localhost/update/games -> e:\games_upload\
              etc...
              What I learn from weblogic documentation is that all files must under one
              root, i.e. the weblogic.httpd.documentRoot=c:/weblogic/
              It mentions the use of FileServlet, but I found it is useless. what is the
              point for doing
              weblogic.httpd.register.download=weblogic.servlet.FileServlet
              weblogic.httpd.register.upload=weblogic.servlet.FileServlet
              if "download" and "upload" pointed to the same local directory!?
              So, my questions is: Can directory alias be implemented in Weblogic 3.1.8?
              If not, how about weblogic 4.0?
              If still not, is there any work around or alternative solutions? How about
              if we are willing to do some minimual coding to get it to work?
              Thanks
              Ben
              p.s. if there is an answer exist to this question, please point me to there.
              thanks
              p.p.s. i can't give up this question because (1) it is important to us, we
              don't want to run weblogic and IIS at the same time (2) I can't believe
              weblogic can't do this. I think it is just missing in the documentation. It
              is such a basic feature in ANY web server

    Ben,
              docHome may be deprecated, but it still should work for you. It does for me.

  • How can I set up an email user as "send-only" (no mailbox for receiving)?

    Can anyone tell me how I can set up an email account that can send emails but not receive emails.
    Our Web application has been using a generic email address "[email protected]" in all of our PHP Web applications as the sending email account. I have this user set up in WORKGROUP ADMIN as a proper account. However the account gets tons of SPAM emails and is constantly filling up.
    Also, all of the email accounts require SMTP authentication to send emails.
    Is there any way to identify an account as a send only account so we can generate emails from our Web applications that cannot be replied to?
    Thanks for the help
    -- Jon

    Doing so will cause issues. If you send out mail which to an outside server appears to be non existent, mail may be rejected and you may even be blacklisted.
    You can remove the account from WGM and add a role account as an alias send to /dev/null. This will look to the outside world like an existing address, but simply be discarded on your system. You should however include a working address in your mailings for people to be able to respond.
    Assuming you use local domains, edit /etc/postfix/aliases and add:
    noreply: /dev/null
    (you can change noreply with the sender used in your PHP apps, but I'd probably change the PHP apps to use noreply as this signals to people receiving your mails that this address is unattended).
    When done, issue:
    sudo postalias /etc/postfix/aliases
    sudo newaliases
    sudo postfix reload

    Are you using a v6 uitlity.. because it is a toy.. ??
    Get v5 utility and then you can hold down the option key and select the right mode.
    If you have lion, just install it.. For ML follow this.
    How to load 5.6 into ML.
    1. Download 5.6 for Lion.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1482
    Click to open the dmg but do not attempt to install the pkg.. it won't work anyway.
    2. Download and install unpkg.
    http://www.timdoug.com/unpkg/
    Run unpkg on the desktop.. it is very simple.. drag the AirPortUtility56.pkg file over to unpkg.. and it will create a new directory of the same name on the desktop.. drill down.. applications utilities .. there lo and behold is Airport utility 5.6 .. drag it to your main utilities directory or just run it from current location.
    You cannot uninstall 6.1 so don't try.. and you cannot or should not run them both at the same time.. so just ignore the toyland version.. the plastic hammer.. and start using 5.6.. a real tool.

  • How do I set up multiple SMTPs ?

    Hi
    I have 3 websites all of which have their own email accounts hosted thru godaddy.com.
    I was able to set ONE up using the "smtpout.secureserver.net" but the next one I tried to set up just 'hangs'.
    I'm not sure what the problem is .. except that I think the 2nd email addy that I'm trying to add is attempting to use the same 'smtp out' as the first.
    Does anyone know how I can set up 3 separate email accounts ?

    Do all 3 email accounts have the same incoming mail server and if so, does each account or email address have its own user name or do all 3 email accounts or addresses share the same user name?
    You can set up multiple/separate email accounts with the same provider, same incoming mail server and each account can have the same password as long as each account has its own user name. An additional email address with the same provider with the same incoming mail server can not be set up as a separate account with Mail if the additional email address shares the same user name as an existing or primary email account with the same provider. The latter is called an "alias" email address to the primary. An "alias" email address to a primary email account or address shares the same user name, incoming mail server and password as the primary email account or address.

  • How can I set #HOST# variable referenced in the Chart template?

    #HOST# and #HOST_PROTOCOL# are being set incorrectly by APEX from CGI variables when I create a chart. I am using APEX 4.1 and Oracle 11g. The get the continual "Loading data..." and then after it times out I get "Error loading file".
    Before we changed to a secure http environment, our charts worked. After we changed to the new web layer, the charts do not work. The #HOST# substitution was set to http://correctservername/ and #HOST_PROTOCOL# was set to http. We set PlsqlCGIEnvironmentList REQUEST_PROTOCOL=https in the dads configuration file and now the #HOST# displays https but it also includes the default port number which we do not want (https://correctservername:port/) The charts work without the port. REQUEST_PROTOCOL is not in the cgi list and setting this variable set #HOST_PROTOCOL#. What variable can we set to make #HOST# correct. It seems like #HOST# is being set by #REQUEST_PROTOCOL#'://'||HTTP_HOST||':'||SERVER_PORT||SCRIPT_NAME||'/'. SERVER_NAME could also be used in of HTTP_HOST. I don't know how APEX is setting #HOST#. Does it come from a host alias somewhere in the environment?
    I don't want to add a new cgi variable called HOST because HOST sounds so generic and it might interfere with something else running in our environment. Or, I don't want to change the plsql cgi environment variable (such as HTTP_HOST) because many developers may use owa_util.get_cgi_env('HTTP_HOST') to get the current server. If the SERVER_PORT is part of the #HOST# then what could I change it to if it needs to be null. If you leave it blank, then the default SERVER_PORT comes from the CGI variables.
    I would rather not create a global variable (hard-coding) and create a new chart template using the global variable or create a before header application process to re-direct url without a port.

    Hi Donna,
    changing the CGI environment variables HTTP_HOST, REQUEST_PROTOCOL and SERVER_PORT is the correct way how to resolve this, because it appears that your hiding the web server where you have installed mod_plsql or EPG by a different outside facing web server (also called reverse proxy). That's why APEX gets the host name, protocol and port of the internal web server, but should actually get the values of your reverse proxy web server. Can can fix that by changing the following CGI environment variables.
    HTTP_HOST should just contain the domain name (no protocol or port). For example: www.oracle.com
    REQUEST_PROTOCOL should contain http or https
    SERVER_PORT should be the port for https
    I don't want to add a new cgi variable called HOST because HOST sounds so generic and it might interfere with something else running in our environment. Or, I don't want to change the plsql cgi environment variable (such as HTTP_HOST) because many developers may use owa_util.get_cgi_env('HTTP_HOST') to get the current server. If the SERVER_PORT is part of the #HOST# then what could I change it to if it needs to be null. If you leave it blank, then the default SERVER_PORT comes from the CGI variables.The value of HTTP_HOST is wrong anyway and points to your internal web server, but I assume your developers actually want to get the host name of your external web server if they use it to generate absolute URLs. That's why I wouldn't bother and set it to the correct host name.
