How do I set up MSN Messenger account in Messages?

Apologies if this is an over asked question, but...
I understand the 'whys' of how Messages cannot integrate with MSN Messenger, and I have been searching everywhere for a solution. I keep coming across posts by Ralph that lead me to a set up instructions page using Jabber. However, this just leads me to a 404. I went to register on Jabber, but there is a message saying that the servers would be turned off on 15th March!
Surely this can be done, so if any bright spark out there can shed some light on this for me, I can get to using Messages and get rid of Adium!

I did used to post a Link to the All Forces Site but the subpages do not load for some reason and you get the 404 message.
I did find another set recently for another post but now can't find it again.
Basically you have to create a Jabber account on a Jabber server that has an MSN transport (or Gateway)
As well as logging in to the Jabber server you need to login to the Transport as well and also link this to Your MSN account.
Buddies are added to your Buddy list as UserName%[email protected]
Basically it adds all the servers to the name and swaps out the first @

You cannot set up subaccounts, as you couldwith the family pack for MobileMe. I'm not sure why you can't create separate Apple IDs and hence iCloud accounts, it isn't good practice to share and iCloud account between different people. All you need to do, is each create your own iCloud account, choosing your old email address when you do so.

She has her own laptop, with an iTunes account on it that I was using. Should I just un-install that iTunes package and have her download a new version? I'm trying to set up Mail 2.1.3. in 10.4.11. I have 2 email accounts. I can enter one just fine but it won't take another. When I try, it says that I "already have a POP account". How do I set up 2 email accounts? I see where I can enter the 2 email addresses by separating them by a comma. But the 2 addresses have different passwords and the password box takes only one password at a time. Any ideas?

It's hard for me to tell by what has been written so far, but it may be referring to what you are entering for the account description. That is, in Mail Prefs > Accounts > Acct Info, for each account it has several entries: Acct Type (that you can't change), Description, email address, full name. If the first account's description is POP, then make the second account's description POP2. I use terms like, "home", "work", and "school" for my accounts' descriptions.
If this is not what is going on, please write down every step you do, and every entry you make, as you try to configure your second email account and post it back here. Naturally, do NOT disclose your actual email address(es) or mail account login name or its password to us here.

Note: While you can configure multiple iCloud Mail accounts in iOS, Push mail will only work for the primary iCloud account in iOS. Secondary account(s) will check for mail based on the settings in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data.

It is possible to use multiple ID's on an iOS device, but when you switch ID's and download content with another ID, you associate the device with that ID for 90 days and lock yourself out of the other ID for that 90 day period.

If you have the old phone, connect it to iTunes, right click on the device, and choose transfer purchases. If you no longer have the old phone, I don't believe there is a way to recover them, as they were on your original device.

There is no such account. The iPod is really a one-user device
Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.

How do you set up an iTunes account in two countries

I have an address that I use in two different counties. How do I set up two iTunes accounts; one for each country.

iTunes accounts are not designed to be used in multiple countries. It affects a few people but probably makes it simpler for Apple given the complexities of international copyright.
You would have to set up a separate account for each country with a different AppleID. Each account would have to have separate credit card information for a CC issued in that country, with a physical address in each country. If you do this, remember that items purchased under one AppleID are not transferable to another. Then too you will have issues with authorizing your computer for downloads (a 90 day wait period for changing authorizations). There's a host of issues with having purchases scattered between multiple accounts.
You can change country for a particular account, again once every 90 days if I recall correctly. However, that has its own set of issues which people have encountered when trying to do something such as update an app that is only available in the other country.
You could likely make it work 90% but it won't be simple.
Technically you are not supposed to use an account while out of the country. People seem to get away with it but Apple can do things to stop you. E.g., "The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance." - http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html#SERVICE
