How do I setup all my devices

Hello - I have an IMac, Ipad2 and IPhone.  I have an icon "find my iphone" on my IPad.  I went into settings and entered the info for tracking IPad, however I don't see option for the other devices.   I login and the ipad is listed and another option that says "All devices" but, when I click on it nothing happens.  My question is
1- do I need to set up each device under settings?
2- If my iPad gets stolen ....do I track it with the iPhone or iMac?
The setup directions are not too clear....thank you in advance for your assistance...I'm new to the Apple world.

Each device has to be connected to icloud in order to use any feature of icloud (like find my iphone).  Go to settings>icloud.
If one device is stolen, you can use the Find My iPhone app on the iphone to find other devices, or on the mac, use the browser and log into icloud.com.  Then go to the Find My iPhone page in icloud.

  • I have changed my Apple ID on my iPad, but my iPhone keeps popping up with the old ID.....how do I get all my devices to use the same ID?

How can I get all my devices to use the same Apple ID?

Different services on your iOS device (iMessage, Facetime, iCloud, iTunes and App Store) can be signed into with an Apple ID of your choice. Make sure you verify the settings for each device and that you are signed in to each service with the correct Apple ID.
I'll do an example for iMessage:
    1) Go to settings on your iOS device
    2) Select "Messages"
    3) Select "Send & Receive"
    4) At the very top you will see "Apple ID", by selecting your Apple ID, you will now have the option to sign out of messages with the current Apple ID, and sign in with the new one.
The steps for changing your Apple ID for other services will be very similar.

  • How can i remove all my devices added to my Apple ID?

How can i reset the added devices to my Apple ID, dearthursize all of my devices connected to my Apple ID? without having access to the devices, i think its my old computers that i dont have anymore. Just got a new computer, and i authersize it, because it says maximum (5) have been reached.
    Thanks, Kasper.

The devices linked to your Apple ID have absolutely nothing to do with the 5 computer limit that is causing the issue.
Devices like iPhones, iPads, iPods do not count towards the 5 computer limit.
Simply deauthorize the computers that you no longer use or if you no longer have access to them, deauthorize all and authorize only the computers you have that actually need access to the content.

  • How do i get all my devices to recognize a changed password?

How do i get all of my Apple devices to recognize a changed iCloud password? My PC is fine but iPhone and iPad are confused.

    Hi Boilerdog,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Be sure to sign in to iCloud again using this step:
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Go to Settings > iCloud, then tap your iCloud account.
    From:
    iCloud: Change your iCloud password
You will be prompted to enter your new password at this point.
    Best Regards,

  • HT2589 We have several devices and they don't show up in my account, how do I get all my devices into one account.

We are trying to figure up how to get all our devices to be recognized in one account.

    Hi nesonmcbride,
Welcome to the Support Communities!  The following resources will help you associate your iPad and iPhone with your Apple ID.
Apple - Support - My Support Profile
    https://supportprofile.apple.com
If you don't see your iPad or iPhone listed, click on the "Add Products" link at the bottom left corner of this page.
iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT4627
When you turn on iTunes Match or Automatic Downloads, or when you download past purchases on an iOS device or computer, that device or computer becomes associated with your Apple ID. Your Apple ID can have up to 10 devices and computers (combined) associated with it, with a maximum of 5 computers at any time. Each computer must also be authorized using the same Apple ID. Once a device or computer is associated with your Apple ID, you cannot associate that device or computer with another Apple ID for 90 days. You can view which devices or computers are currently associated with your Apple ID, remove unused devices or computers, and view how many days remain before the devices or computers can be associated with a different Apple ID from the Account Information page in iTunes on your computer:
    Open iTunes.
Sign in to your Apple ID by choosing Store > Sign In from the iTunes menu.
Choose Store > View My Account from the iTunes menu.
From the Account Information screen, click Manage Devices.
Next to each device or computer name, you will be able to see when each device or computer was associated with your Apple ID. You will also be able to track how many days remain before your associated devices or computers can be associated with a different Apple ID.
Note: If no devices have been associated with the Apple ID, then the Manage Devices section will not be visible.
I hope this information helps ....

  • How do I remove all connected devices from my itunes account?

I recently let a friend use my itunes account to download an app on their 3rd gen ipod touch. I have already changed my password and email address associated with my itunes account. Their ipod was never synced to my computer, so it does not come up when I got into my itunes account and try to manage all the devices associated with it. I've already used my deauthorize all button once before. My ultimate goal is to have the app disappear on their ipod touch, is there anyway to do that? Was just changing my email address and password enough to get it off of their ipod touch?

Changing the access list associated with your account won't delete content off his iPod.
Changing the account prevents him from downloading new content under your account, including updates to existing applications, but it won't remove currently-installed applications. That will only happen when the device is connected to iTunes and a manual sync is performed.

  • How do I setup all my Apple devices for home sharing, messaging, icloud??

I have FINALLY gotten the last of the Windows machines out of my house... we're 100% Apple now!
I have the following Apple stuff:
MacBook Pro(my AppleID) -- an iPod Touch and an iPod Nano are sync'ed to  iTunes on the MacBook Pro for music.
    MacBook Air(wife's AppleID)
    iPad Mini
Haven't yet drunk the Kool-Aid on an iPhone yet but I'll probably get there eventually.
I have AppleID's for myself and my wife.
At this time we are making no use of iCloud.
Does anyone have any guidelines for setting up Facetime, iMessage, iTunes, iCloud given that I'm now 100% Apple and I want to be sure I get as much out of the compatible technologies as I can?  We're talking multiple products being used by multiple people.
I understand  home sharing as it relates to iTunes where I sync my ipods to the music database on the MacBook Pro.  But am unsure how to relate the two AppleID's to each other so that if I buy software for one MacBook, the other is entitled to use it too.
    Appreciate knowledgeable input on this.
    Thanks,

  • How to properly setup photostream across devices

I currently have several apple devices (iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV) and I also use iCloud on my PC, where I have all of my photos as well. The question I have is how do I set up and sync all of my PhotoStream photos so that my entire library will be available on my AppleTV as the slideshow? It seems that every time I try to set it up, I only get a subset of my photos (the most recent ones on my iPhone) and I can't figure out how to get all of them available to my AppleTV.
Does anyone know how to properly set this up so I can see ALL of my photos on my AppleTV screensaver?
    Thanks!

As long as you are signed into iCloud with the same Apple ID on all devices and have Photo Stream enabled then it is set up.
Photo Stream is not infinite. It only holds 30 days of Photos on the server and 1000 photos on iOS devices.

  • How do I get all my devices on the same network?

I recently purchased a 6th generation Airport Extreme to support the Wi-Fi demands of my household. Between streaming on Netflix, downloading games on Steam, and reading our emails, my household is no lightweight in Wi-Fi usage. We have 17 devices in total for the household which we have connected to the Wi-Fi, but not all of them are connected at the same time.
I would like to connect all of them to the main network of the router, so that I could enable file sharing on all of them, but unfortunately, this isn't working as intended. I will abbreviate the name of my networks as "MN" for main network and "GN" for guest network.
There are a few of my devices which do not want to work with the MN, so I have them on the GN so that they are still connected to the internet. Whenever I connect some devices, it will attach to the network just fine, but trying to send or receive data packets the device usually stays loading for a few minutes before it says it cannot connect to the network.
What are some troubleshooting tips that I can use to have all of my devices connect to the same MN?
I've tried messing with the router settings a little bit, but if you have any suggestions, whether I do it on my devices I want to connect to the router, or change the settings on the router itself, I am open to suggestions as I cannot figure this out, even with some detailed googling. Thank you in advance for any help that you give. If you need more details about the devices or router, I am definitely available for that.

  • How to play any/all apple devices on outdoor speaker

What is the best way for us to play songs through our apple devices on the outdoor speakers through the setup we have which is recieve/amplifier connected with a wire to our outdoor speakers.
Right now we play the radio and plug in our ipods and such to the reciever.
    would be nice to:
    1. control the songs from our devices in another room if there is an ipod attached to the system.
    2. play songs from any device to the speakers.
    3. let guest people with their own device tap into the system and play a song.
I assume some wireless sytem is needed, or via airplay?  or somehow to be able to control the songs on one device from another?

    Hello, doobias123!
This can be achieved by connecting either another Apple TV or an AirPort Express to the reciever/amplifier that is connected to your speakers.
    Using AirPlay

  • Apple id is Corrupted. How do I get all my devices talking to each other again? Resetting the password has corrupted all device access to iCloud, mail,Ap Store and more.

I have to say that I have had problem after problem with my suite of Apple computers and mobile devices. When I search for solutions I find masses of users with the same problems. Not one of the obvious problems is answered with workable fixes.
