How do I sharing my calendar with  my wife

Just updated my iPhone and my wives iPhone and iPad2 and activated iCloud. How do I share the calendar information between us so that we both see our respective claendars on each others devices?

Mark, I do this by sharing my calendar with my wife and her sharing her calendar with me. You can set up sharing on icloud.com/calendars or within iCal.  On iCloud, just click the icon next to the calendar you want to share, then enter the email address of the person you want to have access.  In iCal, choose the calendar, then use the menu Calendar > Share Calendar ...  You can set up the permissions to view or have editing privileges.
Do the same from your wife's calendar and each of you will receive invitations to share the calendar.  Accept the invitations and each other's calendar will show up on your devices.

How can I sync my iPhone calendar with my wife's iPhone calendar and vice versa?  Along with my iPad and iMac?

One option is to share your iCloud calendars if all your devices are connected to iCloud and you are syncing your calendars with iCloud (see http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2690).  (You would need to be running OS X Lion on your iMac to sync with iCloud.)

  • How can I share a calendar with my wife

I got a family mobileme account. We each have our own iPhone. I'd like anyway that allows me to:
    1. Put in an appointment on my iPhone
    2. That appointment pops up on her iPhone or iCal. I would love it if it popped up as a grayed "invitation" appointment.
How can this happen? I have a gmail account, a MS Exchange account through my work, and we both have mobileme accounts. Somehow, someway, in some place, this has to work, right?
I've been working on this setup for days. It's 3am. Somebody please answer.

This is funny you said that because I was just coming in here to say that I figured out a solution - only to see it was exactly what you put: Spanning Sync.
My wife and I even have two seperate google calendars and this all still works. Google calendar has the blessed ability to be able to fully share calendars. That means, I have a "Work" calendar, which is mine, and a "family" calendar, which I set up to allow my wife to fully use and change. That automatically puts that "Family" calendar in her list.
There can be some kinks to this, tho. If I put something in my iPhone, and I want her to see it in her iPhone, I need to make sure both our computers are on and running all the programs. Yesterday, our internet at our house went down while we were both working. The calendar item I added on mine hadn't shown up because there was a break in the chain-links of sync's.
    *In Summary:*
    1. Spanning Sync can help do the job.
    2. If there's a break in the chain, your syncs won't go through.
    3. Doing it this way costs either $120, or $50/year for Spanning Sync licenses.
    4. The invitation system still won't go across the way exchange does.
    4. It would be much better if Apple would do this in iCal/iPhone.
*What would I ask of Apple?* It would be great if:
    1. Apple would allow calendar sharing the way google does.
    2. Apple would allow iCal to fully sync with Google Calendar so we don't have to pay ($12020 for my wife and I) to use a 3rd party app to do it.

  • How can I share my Calendar with my wife?

I have an Intel iMac running OS 10.8.2. My wife has a MacBook Air running the same OS. I need for her to be able to see my calendar. Suggestions?

Use the same AppleID and create your own individual calendars. Then use iCloud to view and edit Calendars.

  • Share Calendar with my wife

    Hi –
I am trying to find out how to share my iCal calendars with my wife. I have an iMac, iPhone and iCloud email account and use these synced together which works well. My wife has an iPhone and I'd like her to be able to see and add to my iCal calendar. Does anyone know how to do this? She has an iCloud email account too but uses GMail mostly. Any help appreciated.
    Thanks

Thanks Old Toad. So just to get this straight, now that I've invited my wife to share certain calendars and she's accepted, she can add events to those calendars and this will be updated across the board – on my iCloud account, on my iMac's iCal app and on both our iPhones? Similarly if she was to create a calendar and share in the same way, I could do the above too?
    Thanks

I think (and I'll double check) only the BBLink events will sync on a wired USB sync. I'm fairly certain of that.
You'll need to use your calendar syncing via an EAS email account (outlook.com, for instance, is free) to sync wirelessly. It works great. I use it and was a former tied to the USB sync guy as well... and I thought I was gonna die a painful death without it. I found more freedom this way.
This explains the process. But I don't think you'll get BBM Groups to sync.

  • Posting/Sharing a calendar with my employees

I was recently asked to start posting and sharing my calendar with my employees to note availability. Half the office uses Macs and the other half PCs. I like iCal and prefer to use that, but I'm trying to figure out a way to export a weekly calendar in a file type that would be usable for the entire office. The PC users use Microsoft Outlook I believe, but all I need them to be able to do is see my calendar using any application...
Can I export my iCal agenda to a file type readable by PC based applications? I REALLY don't want to have to use Microsoft Entourage...
    THANKS!

I use the free service www.icalx.com. iCal can publish your calendar to this site in a manner similar to .mac. Other iCal users can subscribe to the calendar, and you can make the calendar viewable to anyone from their browser.
Google Calendar users & Outlook 2007 (but not previous Outlooks) can also subscribe to calendars posted at icalx.

  • How to sync the N900 calendars with the computer?

    Good evening everyone,
I am a user of the N900 since February 2010 and it's my favorite phone of all the phones that i ever had. I really enjoy every second when i use it
However, I have a "little" trouble now.
The touchscreen doesn't respond normally anymore. When I touch it there's no reaction. The Calendar app or the Settings for example don't open. When I touch in the middle for example something completely different opens: desktop configuration. When I slide from one desktop to the other it stops in the middle and goes back to the previous one instead of moving to the next one. Or sometimes there's no response at all and I have to restart the phone, although it doesn't improve anything. I don't know how this happened because the other night I could normally use it, I set an alarm clock. And in the morning I couldn't turn this alarm off because the screen broke down during the night lol :/ what can be done to make the screen work again? Can I do something myself at home or do I have to take it for repair?
So now I want to make on the laptop a backup of all the data I have on the phone. There was a moment when the screen worked normally again, so I took advantage of this situation to turn on the Bluetooth. I synced most of the data. It's a piece of cake for the pics, videos, contacts and messages. But I am unable to find a way of syncing the Calendar. Ovi Suite doesn't have this option so I tried with Nokia PC Suite. I managed to sync only a part of all the entries I have there :/ I realized that it syncs only the default one ("General" I think it's called in english?). I have 7 other calendars like "Work", "Fun" or "Events". How can I save those calendars on my laptop? Please
Any advice/help is most welcome! Waiting

Are you people serious? Sorry for being so direct, but this is supposed to be a help forum for Nokia users. NO ONE is able to give me even 1 solution??????? or at least hints??
As always I can't count on others for help and have to do everything myself even though I'm not a smartphone geek. After a few days of search I managed to find a way to maybe sync the created calendars. But I have to create a profile in Outlook (what the hell?). Okay, I created a profile in Outlook according to the steps mentioned on a website and I still can't sync the calendars with Nokia Ovi Suite! WHY??? In addition, in the settings of the N900 in "Transfer & Sync" when I want to create a new data transfer profile I can't find my laptop as a device in the Bluetooth search list. I am UNABLE to sync/transfer data. I'll try now with the USB cable...
    PLEASE HELP OUT.

  • TS2481 How do I sync google calendar with Ipad 2 thru the cloud. Used to work, but now I've lost it. Maybe a setting?

What setting do I use on my Ipad 2 and Iphone 3GS to enable google calendar to sync thru Icloud between my 2 devices? Thank you!

    Hey JonC84
Thanks for the question. You can definitely sync your new iPod touch with the local calendar on your computer (you won't need to setup an account like iCloud). The following article may help you achieve this:
iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1296
    Contacts, Calendars, Bookmarks, and Notes
You can sync contacts, calendars, bookmarks, and notes with other applications on your computer. This allows you keep all your information in sync across multiple computers and iOS devices. The settings for these items are all in the Info tab for your iOS device in iTunes. With your iOS device connected to the computer, select your iOS device. Then click the Info tab.
    Calendars
To sync calendars with your computer, choose "Sync Calendars" or "Sync iCal Calendars."
    - When syncing calendars, you can sync all calendars or sync specific calendars.
    - You can limit the data that is synced to only events that have occurred in the last 30 days. The option can be changed to any number of days.
For additional information, see this article (while the article refers to iTunes 11, most steps are applicable for you):

  • How do I sync Outlook calendar with iPhone?

I am using Outlook 2011 on my laptop for my yahoo account. I receive all mail via Outlook and I use the calendar feature on Outlook as well. I set up the yahoo account also on my iPhone 4. I have no problems receiving/sending emails but I cannot figure out how to [wirelessly] sync the calendar from Outlook to the iPhone. Does anyone know if it can be done? And if so, how?  Thank for the help.

Synchronization of calendars between Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 and your Apple iPhone or iPod touch requires Apple iTunes. You can configure which items are synchronized during a one-time set up process. Good luck with your Mac!
After the initial setup, each time that you connect your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer, the changes made on your computer or device are synchronized.
Connect your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer using the cable provided with your device or by placing the iPhone or iPod touch in the Apple Universal Dock.
iTunes opens automatically when connected to your computer.
In iTunes, in the source list, under Devices, click the entry for your iPhone or iPod touch.
    Click the Info tab.
Under Calendars, click Sync calendars from, and then click Outlook.
    Do one of the following:
To synchronize all calendars, click All calendars.
To limit the calendars that are synchronized, click Selected calendars, and then click the calendars you want to synchronize.
NOTE   To select multiple calendars, press CTRL as you click each calendar name.
    Click Apply.

  • How do I sync iPod calendar with iCal?

    Hello everyone,
I have just been bought a new iPod touch as a birthday present.  Since I have never had a device that operates like a smart phone before (I know it's not exactly a smart phone), I thought I would begin to use it as a diary, note-taker etc.  I have always done these things on paper, but now I think it would be a good idea to have them synchronized between iPod and computer.
My laptop is running Snow Leopard, which I believe is too old to exploit iCloud.  So I have been trying to find out the "old fashioned" way of syncronizing an iPod and iCal on my laptop.  I thought it would do it automatically during the usual iTunes sync, but apparently not.  And I've found surprisingly little information on the web.
What I have done so far is try to set up an account on iCal.  I clicked to add a new account, selected "Automatic" for account type, put my usual Gmail address in the e-mail address bar, and my Gmail password in the password bar.  Then clicked create.
But as soon as I now try to enter anything in the calender, an error message comes up (I have redacted the event name and my Gmail username):
The server responded with an error.
Access to “[EVENT NAME]” in “[MY GMAIL USERNAME]@googlemail.com” in account “[MY GMAIL USERNAME]@gmail.com” is not permitted.
    The server responded:
    “HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden”
    to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation.
Seems as though some mismatch between "gmail" and "googlemail" is the problem?
Anyway, I'm not even sure I want to start using Google calendar – that was just what iCal automatically gave me.  Is there not an Apple equivalent (not iCloud) that would make things more compatible?
Since I'm starting from scratch, I thought this would be easy, but no such luck!
    Thanks for any help!
    Jon

  • I have a shared calendar with my wife on our iPhones that I would like to view in my work Outlook Exchange.  Is this possible?

Is it possible to take a shared calendar and have it appear on a non iOS system like Microsoft Exhange?  I would like to view my shared calendar that I have with my wife through my work calendar on my computer.  I would like for my alerts to show on my PC when connected in this manner.
    Is it possible?

You would need to share that calendar diretly to your work exchange account if your work exchange account supports that ability.
