You should just be able to erase it using Disk Utiilty. I did with my 8Gb.

You can download that and unzip it, then run it on a PC to fully erase and format the flash drive. Format it in FAT, and then the Mac will read and mount it so you cna once again format it with HFS extended for Mac use.

I was having the problem of fuzzy fonts in Terminal (which I use a lot, being a UNIX guy). I use 14 pt Bold Courier New a lot, and it was fuzzy after my SL upgrade on a 21" iMac (2 Ghz dual core). I finally discovered the "antialias text" button in the Terminal preferences. In my case it was turned on for all of my terminals that had fuzzy fonts. I unclicked this button in all of my terminal preferences, and voila, clear fonts again.

Hi,
I'm not sure how you are opening the files but I do always open the actual file and not by URL. If your files are on a server with no GUI, first download the files to a local machine. For example a directory located here:
{GW root directory}\groups\group-2\conf\d28d2089-9957-4e22-9046-aa8b40958c48
Use your locally installed gateway and in the bin directory, start the esexplorer application.
Normally it would be the PrimaryStore-xxxxx.xml file you want to edit. After you are done, copy back the files to the server and start the gateway.

I used the (Apple branded) VGA adapter lots of times last year. Now I got back to one place I used it many times and it does not work. When I restart iPad with the adapter connected, I get the "accessory is not supported"message. But that same accessory WAS supported before.
This is very annoying as I planned a whole bunch of presentations starting this week to do with my iPad2 and that adapter.

I received the same error message, "Accessory Not Supported" from both the VGA and DV video adapters I purchased, both were boxed direct from Apple. However, to bypass this problem I simply clicked on Photos icon on iPad2 and flipped through photos until it displayed on my projector. I then exited the Photos app and my home screen displayed fine on the projection screen.
Some logic issue with the video adapters, but launching Apple Photo app initializes the video adapters then they work fine for mirroring after that.

Hi. I would suggest carefully examining your cable at both ends where the cable connects with the USB Plug and other side where the cable connects to the Apple port. Making sure that there are no breaks in the insulation or any wires showing at all. It just may be an issue of replacing the apple cable, which you can order and easily have shipped to you.
Frayed connections on either ends can happen if someone trips over connected power cable and it gets yanked while still connected to ipad for example.
Another thing may be just simply doing as Diavonex suggested. And trying a different outlet. I would add trying a different outlet that is on a different circuit then the one you are currently using.
Only other possibilities besides a frayed cable, or a bad wall outlet, would be don't plug your adapter into some thin household extension cord with the three outlets on its far end as an extension point.
And possibly check for dirt in the adapter USB port side and corrosion on the adapters electric prongs. Also check your cable connectors for same kind've dirt and corrosion. Especially for gritty type dust that may have gotten into your connection points. Considering that you seem to be experiencing an intermittent power connection, I would really suggest checking and possibly cleaning very gently and carefully your adapters USB port, and your cables USB plug, which is where it seems you are having your connectivity issues.
if you experience this again i suggest just ordering a complete new Apple adapter and a new Apple cable. It is easier then cleaning the ports.
Lastly, How good is the quality of the electricity that your electric company provides? Any other troubles with other appliances or TV's, etc? It's only a tiny and slight chance but if you are experiencing other electrical intermittent problems then it may be remotely possible that the quality of electricity you are receiving from your provider is rather poor and that is responsible for your problems with your adapter.

It depends largely on how you're connected, and how many backups it has to delete, but that sounds terribly long. We'll see that on wireless network backups sometimes, when a large number of backups need to be deleted. But for a USB or FireWire drive, that's awfully long.
If it persists, and especially if backups are slow, too, try the things in the green box of #D2 in [Time Machine - Troubleshooting|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/Troubleshooting.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum).

Start up not so normal

My iBook seems to start up not so normal recently,
normal as in-- press power button, start up chime, grey screen with apple for a few seconds, Mac OS start screen and progress bar showing a few seconds, desktop comes up and ready for use.
Now, not so normal as in-- press power button, start up chime, still black screen for a few seconds, a flash of grey screen then black screen again a few seconds, a flash of grey screen then Mac OS start screen and progress bar, desktop comes up and ready for use.
Not seeing that grey screen with the apple and spinning gear really bothers me, coupled with that several few seconds of black screen worries me too.
For info, I have run Disk Utility verification and repair, all turn out OK.
Anybody has this experience before??
Any suggestion?

I have done as you suggested, and there is a difference, it started up as per normal. Still I was curious and so I checked on the settings of both users... to my surprise, the brightness level on the former user account is all the way low whereas the latter was mid-level. After adjusting the brightness level, all is well now. How foolish of me.

I have tried a lot of different ways but i cant figure it out?
I can get the sound and animation (timeline) to start playing.
There is no problem to start the video and the animation at the same time.
But i cant get both the video and the audio to start playing when i press a button.
It works great in OSX and on windows?

If the game has sound in it (and possibly even if it doesn't) it may be overriding the Music app and causing it to stop playing - in which case there is nothing that you can do about it.
