Thank you for your reply.
I have Photoshop CC installed on my PC and does not require  signing in. Do I need to install it on the Cloud?

How do i stop photoshop cs4 from quitting unexpectedly when saving a photoshop pdf? i attempted to download the adobe drive 5 but the installation keeps failing. I went through the process of clicking through the how to's and the troubleshooting and came to the conclusion that I need to install the adobe drive 5 but I can not complete the installation. I may be incorrect on this so I need immediate assistance as I have poster and ad deadlines. I also tried disabling the gatekeeper and solution 3 on the troubleshooting of slow saving on photoshop.
    Any help is much appreciated!
    Thank you!

Are you attempting to save the file to a network location instead of your local hard drive? If so, this is probably why you are encountering an issue and why Adobe Drive would be the solution. As we've documented, it is a bad idea to open from or save directly to a network source: Networks, removable media | Photoshop | CS4 and later. Drive can help you get around this by setting up an Adobe supported virtual connection to the network. Thus, if installing Adobe Drive is the solution you need and your need help with installing Drive, please post to the Downloading, Installing, Setting Up forum.
If you are not saving to a network location, then Adobe Drive is not going to be the answer. Then we'll need to know more about the file you are saving.

How do I stop Quicktime player from auto-launching after I've exported a movie from iMovie 10?
It's really annoying for Quicktime player to auto-lauch!

It may not be that simple David. They're using a "server" and some of the Apache software may want to launch QuickTime at boot.
This isn't really a QuickTime question. It's a sever question best answered in those Discussion pages.

  • Stop Screensaver From Displaying Immediately After Startup

I have xscreensaver installed. I have no DE, I just use Awesome for a WM.
I start xscreensaver in my .xinitrc with
    xscreensaver -no-splash &
and this mostly works. However shortly after starting X (maybe 10 seconds or so), the screensaver always tries to start. This occurs even if I've already started using my computer, so most of the time it will open and immediately close because it happens while I'm typing or moving the mouse. After that it works as expected: only appearing after 15 minutes of inactivity.
How do I stop the screensaver from displaying right after X starts?
    My .xinitrc
    #!/bin/sh
    wicd-client -t &
    numlockx &
    sh ~/.fehbg &
    cairo-compmgr &
    xscreensaver -no-splash &
    mpd
    dropboxd &
    exec ck-launch-session awesome >> ~/.cache/awesome/log 2>> ~/.cache/awesome/errors

    Maybe this approach in .xinitrc might work better;
    exec openbox-session & wmpid=$!
    start_stuff &
    wait $wmpid
I've found this more reliable to start things within the session and in the right order. It's from the wiki; https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xi … e_WM_first

  • How can I stop Photoshop CS6 from unwelding imported 3d models?

    Hello,
Photoshop has an issue right now in which when I import a 3d object (it doesn't matter which format, I've tried obj and cae) then it will split the object apart into multiple objects along where the borders of the uv map are (aka polyunweld). How do I stop it from doing that?
Here are images demonstrating what I mean exactly.

The fact that you have no ideas worth sharing does not really surprise me.
You say it's a fact that I have no ideas worth sharing. You are damned cheeky to a customer who helps pay your salary, lad. What's your problem? Embarrassed by your inept "investigation" of a reported problem? Anyway, how on earth would you know anything about my ideas or their worth?
It is not an easy problem to solve for a variety of customers that are your audience.
What? Not easy to solve? Just don't unweld the polygons! Not unwelding is easier than unwelding, surely
Photoshop has a very diverse community, what you think is good is not what a Photographer thinks makes sense.
    That sounds ridiculous.
    1. You initially insisted that Photoshop doesn't unweld meshes!
    2. Then, after I provided further evidence, you said you would fix the problem.
    3. Now you seem to be suggesting that the software was programmed to unweld meshes because it's "what a Photographer thinks makes sense".
It's easy to complain about on a forum, and if it is constructive that is fine but you seem to enjoy just complaining or insulting.
I complain about things at times. I'm insulting at times. But it's a fact that I'm helpful and constructive most of the time. Oh so sorry for not being the perfect contributor to this forum.
    >> I've been waiting 5 months for one simple bug-fix<< I don't know when this was first reported and it's unfortunate we missed that (oh yeah we are human too)  but we do have mechanism's (Bug reports on feedback.photoshop.com) that reach us directly, some of us patrol the forums but we cannot do that full time and ship a product.
    You're completely mistaken again.
I wasn't talking about the problem in this thread. (Which you've denied exists, then admitted exists and will be fixed, and then suggested to be a design decision on behalf of photographers.)
I said "one bug" not "this bug".
The bug which still isn't fixed after 5 months, despite being acknowledged by Adobe, is one that was introduced by the OS X version of the 13.0.1 update. It makes the 3D rendering almost useless for OS X users and did not exist when customers paid $300 for the 3D rendering.

  • How do I stop Photoshop CS6 from asking to save changes to a file when closing the file, after "savi

I save a lot of files to "save for web". After saving PS asks if I want to save changes to the original file. I never want to save the changes to the original. Since the default is to change the file I am afraid I will accidentally OK the change without wanting to. I would like it to stop asking and just not save it. Is there a way?

    Stephen Douge wrote:

Then don't work on the original open the file using Photoshop menu file>open once its in Photoshop as a document dupe the document and close the original document. Photoshop will just close the original and not ask it you want to save the original document for no changes were made to it.  You could easily record an action to automate this process. The first step in the action would be an inserted menu item menu File>Open.  The second step Duplicate Document, third step select previous document the fourth and final step close. The action would look like this recorded Work in the dupe and save it under the name you want to where you want it saved. The First step is an interactive you will be able to open any file Photoshop has support for that you have access to.

  • How do I stop photoshop (elements3) from opening when I load photos

    Hi,

Dear Barbara, thank you so much for your help.
Photoshop came with a scanner I purchased and I have never used it, but
would like to learn the basics to enhance my handmade cards that I make.  I
was wondering if there was a textbook that you could recommend that doesn't
incorporate a lot of jargon and is straight to the point.  The main things I
want to learn about are the basics of opening up ps, importing a card and
working with the layers to fade or change the colour of the background.

  • How do I stop OSX Lion from reopen windows after logging in?

Please advise.  This is aggrevating me.  Everytime I shut down my computer, I have to uncheck the box that states, Reopen windows after logging in.  I don't want to do this everytime I shut my computer down.  If I don't completely log out of every single application, when I start my computer and log-in, the programs I was using before I shut-down all come back up and sometimes this freezes my computer and I have to force shut down.  Any suggestions would be great.  Thank you.

It is one of the over 250 new features of the World's Most Advanced Operating System called Resume.
When choosing Restart, Sleep or Shutdown there is a checkbox you can uncheck to prevent the apps from launching.
Also in System Preferences > General there is a hard-to-find checkbox under "Number of recent items" you can turn off.
If you want to turn it off on a per app basis, (TextEdit is by example, replace TextEdit with the name of the app)
Launch Terminal and copy/paste this at the prompt...
defaults write com.apple.TextEdit NSQuitAlwaysKeepsWindows -bool false
    Press return.
    To turn off Resume globally...
    chflags uchg ~/Library/"Saved Application State"
    Press return
The reverse of the first one is to replace false with true.
The reverse of the second one is
    chflags nouchg ~/Library/"Saved Application State"

  • How do I stop Photoshop Elements 12 from adding a caption to my image?

How do I stop Photoshop Elements 12 Editor from adding a caption to my image?  It is automatically adding the name of my camera (as a caption) to the file any time I make a change in the Editor.  Then I have to manually delete them.

That's not Elements which writes the Camera model in the exif, that's your camera. It's a common complaint with Olympus.
    Solution (edited)
Use the 'Find' menu to select the files starting with the offending caption (Olympus, for instance). Highlight all selected files and right click; select the option to add a caption; leave the caption blank and click enter; you'll be prompted if you want to delete the captions : you do.

  • How do I stop Photoshop elements 13 from crashing?

I just installed elements 13 and it upgraded my catalog just fine.  Once I was in I started tagging pictures and then I paused.  It crashed.
Now whenever I pause for about 30 seconds it crashes.
I have looked at many articles and have not found anything that worked.  Can someone help me?

To answer your question directly [ How do I stop Photoshop elements 13 from crashing? ] , the only way I can think of is to reset your preferences file.  The method in PSE13 must be the same as in 10 and 11 and it is as shown in this thread:
<can't get pse10 to take my styles, have had pse 10 since 2011 bought pse13 and installed, uninstalled pse10 inorder to get pse13 to install easer, I reinstalled pse10 but now the stules I have do not appear in the effect section. I have checked BOTh secti>
Read post # 3 and see if it works in PSE13.
Good luck and post back whether or not it worked.

  • How do I stop the console from reporting errors on an application I have already deleted?

Hi, I'm somewhat new at using macbook pros.  My macbook pro runs snow leoperd 10.6.8.  I just recently learned that console is a good way to check on what your computer is doing so i went in checked on it.  I noticed that a program i recently deleted called teamviewer was logged A TON.  There had to have been thousands of logs.  I had thought that I completely removed this application but it is constantly logging logs that look like this:
    3/4/13 9:17:04 PM com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[96] (com.teamviewer.desktop) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
    3/4/13 9:17:13 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.teamviewer.service[4124]) Bug: launchd_core_logic.c:4194 (24498):2
    3/4/13 9:17:13 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.teamviewer.service[4124]) posix_spawn("/Applications/TeamViewer 7/TeamViewer.app/Contents/Resources/TeamViewer_Service", ...): No such file or directory
    3/4/13 9:17:13 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.teamviewer.service[4124]) Exited with exit code: 1
    3/4/13 9:17:13 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.teamviewer.service) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
I would like to stop my macbook pro from doing whatever it is doing but I can't really understand technical talk so I have no idea what to do.  How do I stop my computer from doing whatever this is and completely delete teamviewer off of my computer?

Sounds like you deleted the TeamViewer application, but did not uninstall the software, using whatever uninstaller is provided.
In this case, it looks like you still have a LaunchAgent installed. In the Finder, choose Go -> Go to Folder and enter the following path:
    ~/Library/LaunchAgents
In that folder, delete anything that has TeamViewer in the name. If you don't see anything there, try looking in this folder instead:
    /Library/LaunchDaemons
After deleting from either of those locations, restart your computer.
