How do I stop the tools/sign/comment bar appearing in Adobe reader?

Hi,
everytime I open Adobe Reader XI (Windows 7) the tools/sign/comment bar appears. It takes sometime to load as it presumably connects to the internet.
I do not wish to use any of these functions (some of which are only available with a subscription).
I close the group by clicking the tools pane and it goes away, increasing the screen area available.
I don't want to have to close this everytime (nor do I want pdfs to always open full screen).
Is there an easy way to permanently stop the tools/sign/comment bar appearing?

Pat you are correct as I am able to Enable Automatic prompting for file download in the Internet security Zone of IE and then this will automatically prompt for the file download. I am trying to determine if there is a way to have all PDFs open automatically without lowering security for all downloads. On my personal device a PDF from a site will open in browser without either of these prompts. I do have IE9 on my PC however the other PCs are still stuck on IE8. In my troubleshooting I did notice that the Active X for Adobe PDF Reader is listed under the Run without Permission, but is not in the All add-ons section. This just seemed odd to me.

iPhoto seems to be viewing the iPod as a camera. Therefore go to iPhoto's General preference pane and select No application in the Connecting camera opens: menu.

How do I stop the annoying little box from appearing?

Adobe Flash Player is requesting permission to store information on my computer. It appears in a square on my screen at will. It shows two choices which include: ALLOW or DENY (In either case, it is requesting viewing my information)
It does not accept DENY! I can not get this box off the screen, which interferes with work, while I am speaking with a customer, and not able to continue typing. How do I release this box, or stop it from appearing. I don't want to give permission to spy. I work with the public, their information is personal. Even when doing my own creative work, I don't want to give permission to spy.
Please tell me what I can do.
I work with yahoo, and firefox.
I am not techy, and am not sure how to do this request. I also don't understand what a tag is, or a thread on a forum.

Every time I access Firefox (my preferred browser) the "Welcome to Firefox" page pops up rather than my default page (Google). This started when I upgraded to the latest Firefox. I have had a good look but can see no way to prevent this. I have locked in my default page but Firefox seems to over ride this. I had this problem by updating to the new version through the help/about Firefox update feature. The '''ONLY''' way I found to resolve this was to totally uninstall the previous version of Firefox including all cookies and traces of Firefox. I backed up my cookies and bookmarks first of course... then, uninstalled and reinstalled the new 9.0 version with a fresh downloaded version of the new Firefox and the problem was '''ABSOLUTELY RESOLVED'''. The other methods of going to tools / options and setting the home page etc. just didn't work at all. THIS WORKED!

From the mention of the issue, I suspect you are working with Premiere Elements 13/13.1.
Assuming Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.
If so, delete or disable the OldFilm.AEX file.

and in the NewBlue Folder is the OldFilm.AEX file that you delete or disable by renaming OldFilm.AEX to OldFilm.AEXOLD.

The tool is called a “callout” note. It places a text box with a leader. It’s been working just fine until suddenly it stopped working and I get an error message saying “desired operation cannot be performed on this object”. It doesn’t matter where I try to place the callout. It simply stopped working. I have tried restarting Acrobat. I have restarted my computer. I have used multiple files to ensure the issue isn’t with a corrupted file. Nothing works. The tool simply stopped working.
