How do I switch from a PC to a Mac?

I just bought a Macbook and am trying to connect my ipod, but every time I try to switch it seems as if I can't do anything but erase everything on the ipod from my old PC. I want to be able to sync my ipod with my new mac and keep all my old songs at the same time. Can anyone help me?

I assume you do mean a different account and not simply a different iTunes library. Unfortunately, in order to switch accounts, you would need to log out and log in to the second account.

Say for instance that you are reading an email in your XYZ email account. Tap the button in the upper left corner of the mail app to back out all the way to where you can see all of the email accounts.... Tap InBox, then tap XYZ email Account and that will take you back to the main MailBoxes window.
Is that what you want to know? There is no way to simply "toggle" between the two accounts.

I assume you are talking about a BootCamp Windows, right ?
If so, usually you hold down the Alt/Option-key at startup of your Mac to get the Boot Selection screen.
There you can choose which Operating System to boot into.
Once in OSX you might wanna go to System Preferences - Startup Volume and set your OSX to be the default.

You can still manually add songs to the iPad even if the option is not set. Just drag them to iPad same way as when the option is set.
Select the iPad, click the Summary tab and tick Manually manage music and videos.
