How do I take the itunes account I established on my lap top and merge it with the new account I set up on my ipad?
I would like to take the music that I have in my lap top - purchased and downloaded, and transfer it into my new account that I established on the ipad.
With 2 different account names and passwords, I am not sure how to connect the 2 - or transfer files from one to the other. My husband has also purchased songs to his ipod touch only - and we want to make one unified file of our music
I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

Apple's announcement of iOS 6 said they would allow merging accounts in the future.

If you check songs, simply sync the entire library.
But I highly recommend (and it is far simpler) to create a playlist (or multiple playlists) and select only that playlist to sync.
Leave everything checked.
Then simply add/remove from these playlists and sync away. -
hi, i have an imac which i bought second hand but but the itunes store wont load up nor will me songs ect sync with the itunes on this comp? i have had no issues with this on previous laptops.... any more of this and i may move to samsung! please help!

Please follow these directions to delete the Mail "sandbox" folder.
Back up all data.
Triple-click the line below to select it:
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a folder named "com.apple.mail" selected. If it does, move the selected folder — not just its contents — to the Desktop. Leave the Finder window open for now.
Quit and relaunch Mail, and test. If the problem is resolved, you may have to recreate some of your Mail settings. You can then delete the folder you moved and close the Finder window. If you still have the problem, quit Mail again and put the folder back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Post your results.
Caution: If you change any of the contents of the sandbox, but leave the folder itself in place, Mail may crash or not launch at all. Deleting the whole sandbox will cause it to be rebuilt automatically.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return. -
I have two apple ID's on my lap top and want to transfer the accounts to my desktop
Some how I accidentally created 2 apple ID's, and I have apps I have purchased on both. I currently sync my iPhone with my soon to dying laptop and wish to transfer the accounts to my desktop so I can sync my phone with the desk top. How can I do that??
Try syncing songs one at a time to see if there is a problem song(s).

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar -
can anyone help me through this? i have had this happen a few times but my iTunes list usually comes back just fine and i have all of the content restored.
I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first. -
I record my classroom lectures in law school to help study for finals. However in the hour and a half class there are many pauses, bad questions, wrong answers, useless stories or announcements that I do not have to hear again. I import the audio into gargae band and cut out all the unnessesary stuff. I end up with a file of 100 + clips. If i spend the time dragging and droping them so there are no spaces in between clips the process takes forever. However the reward is relistenign to an hour and half lecture in 15-20 minutes. Thats about how much content the professor gives. Is there a way to merge all the audio by selecting some option? I bascially want garage band to just slide all the clips and condence it to one clip.
I have takent the time the last few semesters to do this the hard way and have been able to relisten to an entire class in 3.5 hours which is huge! if you have ever been in law school. But I don't have that kind of time anymore. HELP!petruch wrote:

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

How do I create and association between my lap top and printer?
I am trying to use my HP Photosmart e-All-in-One Printer - D110a to scan a picture and, instead of saving it to a file, I want to send it directly to an email.
I am using an Acer laptop, with windows 8
1) I clicked on scan picture (from the HP Solution Centre)
2) I selected the 'scan to email' option
3) the next page was where I 'named' the pic; input the email address I wanted it to go to; and wrote the body of the email
So far, So good
At this point a message come onto the screen, it is titled Email and states
"There is no email program associated to perform the requested action. Please intall an email program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."
It has an OK button, but when clicked it just closes the message.
I have gone thru as many programs as I can that I think may be associated with, or give me a hint, on how to do this. No Luck!
Any and all help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have an installed email program such as Microsoft Outlook? If your email is through an online login, such as Gmail, etc, then one will have to create an email association with a program such as Microsoft Outlook on the PC for this Scan to Email system to function.

Take a look at Apple's document for authorizations -> iTunes Store: About authorization and deauthorization.
You can deauthorize all computers from iTunes. All you have to do is click iTunes Store, click your account name in the upper right corner of iTunes, then deauthorize all. -

IOS 4.3.2You should only make purchases for all your devices using a single Apple ID. There is no need, and indeed a good reason not to, set up a new Apple ID with each new device purchase. While items purchased under different IDs can be played on a single device, you cannot merge Apple IDs and it makes it cumbersome.
Apple IDs do not expire but may become dormant and require reactivation if they are not actively used.
You should make note of your Apple ID and passwords and keep a record of it. Like a bank account it contains access to items with value. Update your Apple ID email address as they change.
I see you were guided to this forum by a help page on recovering your password. If that is not sufficient try the links below. Apple will need to verify you are indeed to owner of the accounts to which you are trying to gain access.
