How do I view the Horizontal Scrolling bar and status bar at the bottom of the screen. I can only see the top menus, toolbars and vertical scroll bar?

Before the most recent upgrade, the bottom horizontal scrolling bar and status bar appeared on my screen. Now since upgrading, I cannot see the. Anyone ideas how to restore them?

If you haven't already, you could force-quit Quicktime by using the menu option from the desktop (finder) and choose Quicktime.
Not sure what you have frozen on the screen, be it a failed movie, or some unusual screen shot. If you can find by date (created) you may be able to look for .mov or quicktime suffix name or other video file content to delete it.
And you may have to restart your computer and perhaps run repair disk permissions from Disk Utility's first aid on the hard disk drive in your computer.
Not sure if all that would help now, but it is something a few days late...!

Does any music show in the Purchased tab on the iTunes store app on your phone ? Music can't be re-downloaded in all countries, and even where it can be it will only appear whilst it remains in the store. Do you have your purchases on your computer and/or on a backup of your puchases so that you can sync them to your phone ?

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTune (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug.
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...

The app is not gone, it is impossible to remove it from the device.
Check all home screens and folders.
If you are unable to find it, Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.
As a last resort, restore from backup.

My thumbnails have all disappeared. If I view events there is the same one for all 270 events and if I open an event I have clack thumbnails. I can only see the photo if I open it individually.

No. Quitefrankly I didn't know I could even use iPhoto on iPad, I just have the photos app that came on it. This is on my laptop. I don't particularly like iPhoto I use it essentially to take photos off my camera and store all the originals. I use Photoshop. I am working with beat markers and it was going along fine until suddenly everything went awry. I dropped in a bunch of photos and the last photo assigned itself a time of over 3 minutes. Beat markers are at less than 1 second. I have removed the beat markers for the photos I want to remove, in order to try again. When I try to delete the 3 minute picture the entire project loses its beat markers AND on top of all of that, I can only see the top 1/4 of the pics in the bottom line of the project. Hey, I'm having the exact same problem.
I just got my Macbook Pro and I tried to partition/install windows xp the first day I got it. After successfully partitioning my HD, the 50GB partition didn't show up while trying to install the windows platform.
To be a bit more specific, it doesn't even show up in my startup disk in the system preferences menu (if that's any help?)
So after about a week of abandoning my Macbook and going back to my PC I went to the Apple store and someone from the genius bar just told me to reformat the entire thing...so that's what I did and I'm still having the same problem.

it doesn't offer a choice. maybe it installs both, but the only one that's showing in the Programs list is the 32-bit.
I've worked out how to fix the problems I had - here's what I had to do:
manually find the .exe in the 64-bit Programs directory and create a shortcut to that
hack the registry so that CC is recognised as a valid "open with" program (by manually editing 'CS6' to 'CC' according to some instructions I found on another site)
delete CS6
then install my plug-ins, manually.
The whole process is way messier than it needs to be, and none of this is documented on the Adobe site.

Yes I tried that. I finally turned off all home sharing settings, shut down my desktop and found them in my account settings in the store on the cloud. So at that point I just had it download everything. But I suspect that with the ipad somehow being on, the store was saying I had already received them? Regardless, my trip today whilst running errands, I was rocking out to vintage Police music! Thank you so much for responding.
