My old computer died today. I am using a new computer and when I try to download from cloud the pop up comes up and says I am not authorized to download. How do I fix that when old computer is not working at all?

If the computer's running Mac OS X, move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on Store, and choose Authorize this Computer.
If the computer's running Windows, press the Alt and S keys and choose Authorize this Computer, or click here, follow the instructions, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.

1). Connect your iPod to your new computer. If it is set to sync automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod.
2). When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you continue to use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. 3). Once you are connected and your iPod is safely in manual mode there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. iTunes will only let you copy your purchases directly from an iPod to the computer, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer

4). Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync.
5). I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive

You first need to copy the iTunes library from the old computer to the new computer. Or a backup of the iTunes library from the old computer that you made. The reason is that an iPhone can only sync to one computer. If you change computers the new computer will erase the iPhone contents when you sync and replace the contents with whatever is on the new computer. If nothing is on the new computer then nothing will end up on the iPhone after sync.
When you say it will not sync, please be more specific. Does it not appear in iTunes? If it appears, does it ignore the Sync button, or does it display an error? What is the error?

NOPE!!! If you pause even for a split second while dictating, siri assumes you're done, and message winds up incomplete!!! Have to start over from beggining and it may still cut you off. happens to me with almost ANY dictated text longer than 2-3 words.
I have been an Apple fanboi for over a decade, but my 2 year iPhone experience has me wishing I'd stuck to android! :-/

You do not want to move your programs from one machine to another. Install it on the new machine like you originally did with the old one. If you need to download the files you can probablly find them available thru the following page:

If you no longer plan to use the original installation you can deactivate it (open an application -> Help -> Deactivate). You are allowed to have two activated installations so there is no requirement to disable it on the old machine.

If you sync iphone to a blank computer, then the current content will be erased.
The iphone is not a backup device.
The music and pics sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases: File>Transfer Purchases
You can e-mail the pics to yourself. They will never be of the original resolution.
If you enter one unique contact and calendar item, then you should get the option to merge the data when you first sync.

You can achieve this by just making some changes to the textfield (and the page layout).
First, select the textfield and then in the Layout palette, tick 'expand' height to fit'. When you preview the form, you will see that as you type information into the field, a scroll bar will appear. When you exit the field, it will expand automatically to display the full contents.
Now the problem will be that the textfield will expand over objects that are positioned below it - not good!
So what you need to do is set up your form for a flowed layout. First select all of the objects that do not grow in size and wrap them inside a 'positioned subform'. When you select the subform you can see this setting in the Object > Subform palette. You should name the subforms in the hierarchy. So you will end up with a positioned subform above your textfield and a positioned subform beneath your textfield (if you have objects beneath it).
Then select page1 in the hierarchy and in the Object > Subform palette, change the content to 'flowed'. Hopefully the layout won't change too much (because you will have most of your objects in their positioned subform).
Last step is to select the textfield and in the Object > Field palette tick 'Allow page breaks within content'. This tells Acrobat/Reader to split the object if it overflows onto a new page.
Now save the form as a Dynamic XML Form in the save as dialog and previewed it. Now when the textfield expands it will push objects beneath it down. Also when it gets to the bottom of the page, it will start a new page automatically and continue the content on the new page.

Activating Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional on new computer when old computer died and cannot deactivate

My computer died with acrobat professional 8 installed. When I tried to install and activate acrobat 8 professional on my new computer, it would not activate until I deactivated the software on my old computer. My old computer is completely dead and therefore I cannot deactivate the software. Please advise me.

Customer service is terrible. They don't give us the tools to help ourselves, so we are FORCED to call their service number. Then we get transferred 3 times, then disconnected - just to have to repeat the process again. Adobe recorded phone messages advises "due to high call volume, estimated wait time is 12 minutes". An HOUR AND A HALF later while still waiting on hold, I get disconnected.
I've tried the customer portal. They CLOSED my case without resloving anything or even commenting!
Where is Adobe's accountability? They don't mind charging high prices for their products, and they certainly wouldn't accept me telling them they'll have to call my 800# and wait on hold in order to get their payment. But once we purchase their products we are a prisoner of this process. There is no web interface to deactivate products. Hard drive crashes do not permit the manual deactivation on our end.
Adobe needs to either answer their phone without disconnecting me, answer their case number number without closing it for no reason, or give us - the customer - the tools to deactivate our own products. If activation can be done over the internet upon installation - then deactivation can't be much more difficult.
I honestly can't imagine how it can be legal to sell a product then cripple an owner from using it.

You can't sync or drag your music back directly from an iPod to iTunes, the transfer of music is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs but not playlists back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward.
