In Develop you can highlight a group of thumbnails in the filmstrip, then right-click and choose Develop Settings -> Auto Tone
In Library you can highlight a group of thumbnails in the Grid and click the Auto Tone button in the Quick Develop area.
What you can’t do is click the Auto button in Develop and have it do more than one photo—this is by design, except, maybe if you have Auto Sync enabled.

Open the server as you normally would. When you enter your password, click the box to "remember Password". Once mounted, select the server icon from your desktop and hit Command + L to make an alias. You can move that alias to some place out of the way if you wish. The go to System Preferences/Users and select your user profile, then Login Items. Simply add the alias you just created. Now every time you boot you will automatically be connected to that server.

How do you save µ-law in Audition CS6? It's listed in the CS6 brochure.

I've been waiting for Audition CS6 to show up so I didn't have to choose between the new features of Audition CS5.5 and then switch back to Audition CS3 to save to µ-law, but I can't find it in the save options.

Hi Phil,
When you select File > Save As... set the Format: dropdown to libsndfile. Click the Change... button for Format Settings: and you'll be able to select a file format that supports μ-law compression.
As far as I am aware, the formats that support μ-law compression are:
Waveform Audio
Audio Interchange File Format
Sun/NeXT AU format
Raw Data
Sphere NIST Format
Creative Voice
Berkeley/IRCAM/CARL
Sonic Foundry/Sony Wave 64

This is what I've been doing - was just curious if there was a way to see a more cohesive image.
If the individual EQ plugins are in fact the answer, is there any way to smooth how the Analyzer displays? The image I posted above, all of the tonal curves are very smooth. The analyzer tool shows a lot of peaks and valleys within the overall curve and it's hard to pinpoint each instrument's "sweet spot." Vocals for example are very hard to spot.

Go to the Properties of the Digital Signature field and under the Signed tab enter this JS code, under the last option:

Of course, you can adjust the field name and the date format used in the script above.

How do you auto hide the finder menu bar

Prior to Mavericks, I could auto hide the finder menu bar by inserting:

in the finder info.plist after accessing core services/finderapp/contents/resources, but now in the Mavericks OSX, I receive the following error message:
"Finder Quit Unexpectantly" and a list of various reasons; codes; etc too long to list here. Is auto hiding the finder menu bar even doable anymore in this operating system, and if so what is the solution?

How do you reverse that process? I was trying it with various apps, substituting the app name in the terminal command and it worked great until I got to the "Notes" app. I think it messed up how notes synced with iCloud.

How do you auto-populate a field?

Hello.
If I present the user with a LOV's on an 'Insert Form', how do I auto-poulate a value in the same form based on what the user has just selected?
e.g.
User selects 'Employee Number' from a LOV, I then want to auto-populate the 'Employee Name' underneath.
I thought a simple sql query would get me the EMP_FULL_NAME FROM EMPLOYEES where EMPNO = (whatever EMPNO user has just selected).

You are right you should just be able to use a query as the source of your page item for name. I will base my description below on page 1 and using APEX 4.
First of all you will need to set your :P1_USER_ID select list to submit the page so the value is set in session state, if you navigate to the settings section and then set Page Action when Value Changed to submit page.
You will then need to have a query as the source of :P1_NAME and a query something like
SELECT
    name
FROM
    users
WHERE
    user_id = :P1_USER_ID;One thing to not you will need to make sure you on submit processes are conditional based on a button else they will run when the user_id select lists is changed.
An alternative method to submitting the page would be to use a dynamic action providing your using APEX 4. The dynamic action could be fired when the value of :P1_USER_ID is changed and then update the value :P1_NAME dynamically.

After I've created a radio station, how do you get back to the window for fine tuning the station?
I'm on a Mac Pro, so I'm running iTunes on that, not an iPod, phone or iPad.

The only way to fix a lens is to send it back to the manufacturer. You make the adjustments in the camera, not the lens. However, only certain cameras have micro-adjustment (AFMA). Which model are you using?
There are DIY ways to do it, but I'd suggest plunking down a little money for a program like Reikan's FoCal and have it do it for you.

How to open .AC3 files in Audition CS5.5

As the latest Adobe Audition 5.5 does not have the codec/plugin for opening .AC3 files, I need to download and install the latest QuickTime player for the required codec/plugin.
However, after installing the QuickTime Player, Audition 5.5 seemed to open the .AC3 file I've selected but the whole duration of the AC3 file is blank and has nothing in the waveform. I could not hear anything during the playback.
The fact is that when the AC3 file is playing through the Windows Media Player 12 with AC3Filter, the file can be heard and has no error.
Does anyone know the solution to this issue?

How do you edit sound in multicam (cs5)

Hi all,
I always see people raving about multi cam editing for wedding speeches but on the 10 or so occasions Ive given it a try I just give up instantly due to the fact that I feel so limited in what I can do with the audio.
I would use it for wedding speeches where I have 8 or 9 audio tracks, editing in 5.1 and I need to stop parts of the track distorting occasionally or removing sections of sound, boosting quiet parts etc (as the dynamics effect with limiter ticked and set to -1dB only seems to quieten down the rest of the audio from that point onwards if it severely needs to kick in), however as soon as you enable multi cam and start editing, your audio appears flattened into one track.
Please tell me what I'm doing wrong? I KNOW it must be possible but I just cant work out how.

Or...you can just nest the video only and leave all your tracks right there with the video. Although I'm not sure about CS5 as I use CS6. Either way works. For me what works best is to nest the video ONLY by alt+selecting the video clips, right-click and choose NEST...then, right-click again and choose Multicam>Enable. Now you have the video and all the audio tracks on one timeline. I find that easier to deal with personally but to each their own. Unfortunately, there's a bug and the audio meters/levels don't work while in the multicam window so you can't monitor the levels. Feel free to submit a bug report to add your name to the list of people who'd like to see that get fixed. Hope this helps.
