How do you Batch change TV Shows/Movies/Music Videos?

Hi,
I have a bunch of short films in my iTunes library that I want to change to TV Shows, the only way i have found that I can do this is going one by one and changing them. My question is whether or not there is a 3rd party applescript of application that allows me to batch change these video files, within or outside of iTunes.

Hey all,
In Video Kind when you get info on a video under the Video tab, there is a drop down menu where you can change the type of video. I want to change a TV Show to Music Video, but the drop down is not allowing me to, it is grayed out. I am assuming there is a way to do it, since it's there. So, if anyone out there in MacLand could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it!!!

When you buy a video from iTunes, it will be in "Protected MPEG-4 video file" format. Since it is "protected", you can't reformat it.
For tracks, you can convert them to unprotected MP3 format by burning them to an audio CD, then ripping them back to iTunes. However, It is not the same for videos. When I burned my TV-Shows to video DVD, and ripped them back to iTunes, the protected format does not change.
If I find anything special program that can convert the videos into non-protected format so that you can edit them, I'll let you now ASAP

Well i just bought a music video on itunes can you not put music videos on there and also arent you suppose to be able to see the cover of the cd on your ipod? HELP PLEASE!!!!

Well, you have 2 possiblities !
You scan the cover from your CD or you download it from Amazon.com for exemple...

Once done, open iTunes, select the album in the album section of iTunes then type "cmd+i" ( may be "ctrl+i" on Win$ ). Then just drag and drop the picture in the little window made for !
Then drag the album to your Nano...
IPORTANT : The picture(s) can not be added directly to the iPod thru iTunes ! It MUST be added to iTunes first, then you drag the song or the album to your iPod !

I finished a movie, and saved it as a MP4 file. How do you save and burn a movie to play in a dvd player and show on your tv.

I found an iDVD program through Softonic. Do you know anything about reliability and if it is safe to download this one? If not do you have any suggestions for one I might download.

Aperture: How can I batch change one part of a file name

I have a file name format for my motor sport pictures

I have just named 600+ images but after publishing the images, I spotted I put the event year as 2014 instead of 2015.
How can I batch change the year but leave everything else the same? I've been through the batch change options but cannot work it out

So you renamed the versions in Aperture, the rename was not just done on the export?
The names could be changed either in Aperture or on the exported files but as was noted it would require a script to do it. Doing the rename on the exported files would be the easiest, Applescript or possibly even Automator or any number of 3rd party apps could handle this rather easily. Name Mangler comes to mind as possibly being able to handle this.

How do you handle change in user names if folks get married or divorced

If an application is using the apex authentication scheme, how do you handle change in user names if folks get married or divorced. The reason I ask the question is that all of apex uses v('app_user'), which is the user_name. If I have transactions done by this user and then their name changes, which means so does their id, how do I get all of their transactions, before and after the name change. Traditionally I would expect to use user_id, not sure if this feature is still available. I can always create a custom auth scheme, but that is a lot of additional work. Any ideas?

I plan on doing the following to use user_id for auditing of transaction records:
1. Get the user_id to use in the tables audit trail fields
user_id := apex_util.get_user_id(v('app_user'));
OR
user_id := apex_util.get_current_user_id;
2. If a user changes their name then use
apex_util.set_last_name(p_user_id, p_new_lastname);
apex_util.set_username(p_userid, p_new_username);

How can I get iTunes to show movies again instead of a grey screen?

I was able to view my whole library of movies/music videos before the upgrade and now, iTunes will open my movies but it doesn't show them. It plays the sound but the screen is grey. It's a bit demoralising to break something that worked but to break it all together makes me wonder why I spent so much time and money building up my library.
If anyone can help or explain this, I would be grateful. I am running iTunes, 11.2.1(1) on an iMac (late 2013) running 10.9.3

Sorted... When screensharing two devices (in this case a Macbook pro and iMac) the following appears to be true:
It isn't possible to view movies/videos on either of the devices that are screensharing;
Neither device as a result, even if a window is not up with the media being shown to the other device will show media (movie or music video).

by popular demand, Kelli Applies Lip Liner to Audrey's Lips has been completely re-mastered. (ok, it was just one person who asked, but she's a very intelligent and articulate observer of such matters. she noted that the clip suggests "interesting possibilities", but that men probably would be unaware of that. i explained that "men are pretty simple, so we don't see too many moves ahead." she laughed.)
i believe that in an earlier post i indicated that in the re-mastered version i would delete the in-camera audio and dub in the audio from the Zoom H4n audio recorder. this i did.
(syncing the video and audio continues to be a nightmare, though ).
besides signifcantly improving the sound quality, using a separately recorded audio source allowed me to drop (2) still photos into the video track, and still preserve the continuity of the recorded conversation.
dropping in the stills the correct way (unlike in the first re-mastered video) was easier than i thought it would be. it's just a matter of dragging the Premiere Elements 7's red vertical timeline-cursor to the point on the timeline where you want the insert to begin, and then dragging and dropping the still photo alongside the red cursor. the amount of time the still will appear can be shortened or lengthened by dragging with the mouse -- the same way any other file can be extended or contracted.
the video coming out from the still was now running behind the soundtrack. but, the timeline shows the exact duration of the still, so the video coming out was shortened with the mouse by that same duration, and then the audio and video were back in sync.
to add the "sound effect" of the camera's shutter clicking (actually its mirror slapping) before each still appears, i found a point on the audio recording that had the click of my camera actually taking a still, and that had only a little audio from the models underneath it. removing all the audio before and after the sound of the camera click was, again, just a matter of finding the start/stop points i wanted, moving the timeline's red cursor to those points, and using the mouse to drag the ends of the audio file alongside the cursor.
because i wanted the sound of the camera click to merge with the converation anyway, i just put the audio file of the click on its own audio track (which allowed me to separately control its volume).
however, when i tried to copy and paste the audio file of the camera click to the beginning of the second still photo, i was not able to copy and paste by the normal method of using the mouse to right-click-file/left-click-"copy"/left-click-"paste". eventually, i tried doing so by clicking on "edit" on the menu bar at the upper left and then clicking on "copy" and "paste", and there was no problem. (go figure.)
as with the other re-mastered video, i brightened, increased contrast, made the hue a bit warmer, and added a little sharpening. (this has to be done individually for each separate video file that makes up the whole piece -- at least that's what i did.)
interestingly, the audio level can be tweaked directly on the timeline by using the mouse to drag up or down a horizontal yellow line running the length of the audio file.
i again rendered in Adobe Flash Video (.flv). (annoyingly, in XP at least, there's a default download destination that has to be reset everytime you want to save in a different location). from a drop-down menu i selected "NTSC Flash Video 700k" (just in case) and left the file name as "Untitled" (since no matter what i change it to, it saves as "untitled.flv", so i have to rename it anyway once it's saved).
i went into "Advanced..." and, to preserve the dimensions and the HD, i unchecked "Resize Video", chose "Same as source" for the frame rate, and checked 2 "Encoding Passes" (just in case).
for some reason, everytime i click the "save" button, it asks what i want to call these settings. if i use the name i used for the same settings on the previous go-round, it says that that name is already used and (impliedly) can't be used again. so, i add the new date, and yet another name for the same settings gets added to the drop-down menu (odd).
once the compressed .flv file was saved, it was an easy upload to youtube.
btw, it seems that the Elements 7's Audio Mix defaults to 0 dB, OR whatever the setting was in the prior saved version, unless i use the mouse to continuously "ride the slider pot". that's ok for a 48-second video, but does anyone know of a way the dB can be set so that it just sits there, instead of moving back to where it previously was
